My wife and I drove a little out of our way to try the food here based on the large number of positive reviews and WOW do we regret it. I will not bore you with the full explanation of how poor the service was (even just for takeout) as the overwhelming issue is the food,,just know that they were slow. The reason we will never eat there again is how awful the food was. I ordered chicken fried rice, and aside from the fact that I got 3 inch strips of rubber that they were passing off as chicken, there was nothing "fried" about this rice. At first I though they had just tossed some cold peas and carrots into some yellow rice and warmed it up (note there was no egg, I hate egg but even I know thats how you make fried rice) but after i microwaved it the next day I got my first tell-tale sign of it at some point being fried. Apparently hours, if not that morning, before I ordered they fried up some plain white rice and then tossed in some cold veggies when it was time to send it out the door. My wife ordered a Chinese take-out staple, General Tsos. Here we go again with the rice, same story. Have you ever had Chinese at the mall and gotten that stringy, clumpy, chewy chicken covered in a rubbery breading? Well if you enjoyed that than you would have loved this. Oh, and did I mention the favored water we were provided with to dip our dumplings in, YUM!

We have had good and bad experiences to the point we began using another take-out restaurant. Decided to try China Cary again this week, with mixed results. Very disappointed with the "hot & sour" soup. It was so full of tofu, I threw it out. There was very little of anything else -- mushrooms, no pork, no bamboo shoots, etc., etc. The entrees ordered were better, but not great.

That very well may be the worst Chinese carryout Ive ever had. The General Tsos chicken was over battered, overcooked, and had no broccoli. The spring roll, which should be the simplest thing in the world to make, was inedible. Maybe thats why it was on special, nearing its expiration date. Ive had no luck at all finding good Chinese carryout on this side of Cary.

We have been going here since they opened and think the place is great. I will admit the chicken fried rice needs improving. But if you like great service and over all good Chinese food I recommend China Cary.

We go here almost every Friday for take out. These wonderful people work so hard, day in, day out to make the best Chinese ever!!! I especially love the Mongolian beef and Won Ton soup!

Their vegetable schezwan style is awesome, and has tofu. It tastes great and is cooked fantastically. Rice is fluffy and well made.
