This is possibly the worse customer service I have ever experienced at any grocery store. I am in retail management and I cant believe that a store manager would allow that kind of behavior in their store. I am not a demanding customer...all i ask is that the checkout clerk not be texting on their cell phone and not throw my produce and goods into bags. (this is not a rare occurence, it has happened serveral times). If you have to purchase something, go to self checkout and hope you dont have any problems that involve staff. Otherwise I like them as a grocery store. Their produce is good and fresh. No, it isnt earthfare or greenlife but it is good and decently priced. If you have to go to ingles drive a couple more miles down the road and visit the other south asheville location or harris teeter or if you want to splurge Earthfare. The ingles on merrimon is pretty good as well if you are in north asheville.

I love this Ingles...they seem to have everything that the others dont. Not only that but its the cleanest and one of the largest i have seen in awhile. Im from FL and i miss publix very much, but this ingles comes pretty close. All of the other ingles in the area are ridiculous for customer service and products. They have outdated produce and their meats selections are nothing in comparison to the hendersonville rd ingles. I drive further just to go there. The one on merrimon has a big stick up their butt because they charge more for same items at other ingles because they are in a so called rich area. I wish all ingles were the same but frankly their not and most of them arent great at all. Hey at least their better than food lion, bilo and the other no name grocery stores around here. Publix!!!! when are you coming to NC?????!!!!!!!!!

The place feels a bit racist and discriminatory. Went into store to ask about current openings and was told they were hiring for all positions and do the application online. Did that. Go instore for interview and was told they are only hiring for Deli which is in the back. Manager seemed very off putting about me and Ive noticed before cause Im a frequent shopper there they dont have any cashiers or people up front that are people of color. Put two and two together and figured it out for myself. This is in the Asheville area so I was surprised but honestly not that surprised. Very disappointing.

Im not one to complain but this cashier Kenya was really rude.. I waited in line while she rang up her friend and after she did that she told me she was closed... after I stood there.. then turned her light off..so I went to the next register and she politely told me that she was closed and that Kenya wasnt.. so I went back and she started scanning my stuff.. she talked to her friends the entire time not paying any attention.. told me to have a nice day before she realized she hadnt finished bagging my stuff because she was so distracted with her side conversations.

Shoppers here are all treated like shoplifters. Lowbrow goons (male and female) lurk in the aisles and crowd you anytime you stop to think about a purchase. I think about tasering the employees every time I go here. I think Ill take my money elsewhere.

Nothing open 24 hours on the south side. Lame! 3 grocery stores I would think igles would at least provide this considering they compete now with two superior shops. Will take my business to publix open an hour later at lest!

The store itself is fine but the bathrooms are really gross and I need to change the seats in the mens bathroom I hate to see the womens bathroom.
