Horrible service! I was there with 5 others. The server did not smile the entire time and acted extremely inconvienced by our simple requests (drink refills, reminding her for a side of ranch etc.) She never once checked on us following our food being delivered. The spinach dip was cold and crusty as if it was left in the window when she should have delivered it. They were not busy and we caught her just wandering aimlessly when we needed refills. Asked us how to split our check and we requested to it split two ways. She didnt and then became extremely annoyed we we asked her to correct it.I know it wasnt personal, but she treated us as if she had a vendetta. My table mates and all have had restaurant experience and are generally empathetic to service employees. I am a local of 10 years and this establishment has declined in the service and quality of food. There are many more great pizza and beer places in Asheville to choose from and better breweries. In summary, if you hate your job, just take pride in it and at least try to fake it or find a new career.

Went there with our 3 kids & after 15 minutes we had to ask the waitress at the next table for menus, she brought us menus 5 minutes later & then said she would find our waiter. After another 10 minutes of watching the staff play behind the bar, take orders at tables around us & waiting on customers who came in after us completely ignoring us, & was rude beyond belief when we went to the bar to get someone, we left. In the end it was their loss & we enjoyed great pizza, a hospitable staff, and better atmosphere at Barleys Taproom & Pizzeria! We will be in Asheville frequently as well as extended family & friends, I can guarantee none of us will ever eat here, & word is being spread throughout MHC & across FB!

We are local and we love visiting the breweries in Asheville on weekends. One week ago, we visited ABC on Coxe. I believe they were out of, at least, four beers on the menu. This past weekend, we took out of town guests. Each time, we sat outside, as the weather was amazing. This time, they were out of, possibly THREE beers. We were all totally annoyed with a VERY LOUD barking dog. The owner kept spraying it in the face with water, when it barked, but it had no effect. We left and will not be back, as we were told the dog belongs to the owners girlfriend. We even told our waitress. She stated others complain. What a shame, as the venue is pretty nice. You couldnt even talk, it was so loud.

Dangerous Experience! Pretty good beer, but horrible bar tending. Ordered a flight to try out their beers. Noticed that the beer glass had a chip in the glass and reported it to the lady bartender. She said "oh, let me take care of that" and proceeded to pour my beer out of the chipped glass into a fresh glass (aka same beer, with a potential for a glass shard) and expected me to drink it. Now if I did and ingested a piece of glass, I could have really sued, hard-core and easily. So in the future, just pour a NEW glass with NEW beer. The owners might really be interested in this review.

Service was slow, took 45 minutes for a burger and a slice of pizza, although the waitress was helpful. Stay away from Full Metal Fries, minimal flavor with room temperature fries. Pizza was alright although after asking for parmesan crust I recieved regular crust. The burger was also served warm not hot, probably sitting under a warming light. Patio is nice, they allow dogs and bring water bowls, which is cool. I dont recomend sitting inside after 9 if you want to eat without a rock concert playing in your ear. Beer was decent, not terrible though.

Probably more of a restaurant than brew pub the Asheville Pizza and Brewing Co. is a cool place to have a beer and grab a bite to eat with friends or family. The interior is pretty welcoming and the staff here are friendly, attentive and courteous. They certainly cater to the lunch crowd and try to make sure they get you in out and of there if thats your goal. If I was just into drinking some brews Id probably find myself hitting the micro-brews that specialize in just beer. They tend to just have a different feel and ambiance but thats just me.

One of the most creative brewers in the country and theyre located right in Asheville. Honestly cant say too much on the food because its more of an afterthought when you have all this great beer on tap. One thing: Jalapeno beer. For those not so daring, they have a great selection of more traditional beers on tap. Left with a full stomach of awesome beer and a growler to take home. Heres a tip, walk the half a block around the corner and sample some of the beer at Craggie Brewing Company (just make sure theyre open first, they keep odd hours).

The beer and service were really good, but the pizza is just okay. I wouldnt recommend this to someone on a weekend trip, because there are a lot of better places to eat and drink in the area. I might be wrong about this, but I am pretty sure that their "parmesan crust" is actually just regular crust baked with crushed cheese nips on it... It might be worth going there and ordering a pizza with parmesan crust just so you can judge for yourself. When I eventually go back, I will order something other than pizza. No offense to the cheese nip crust.

Tried 4 different beers. All were great but I especially enjoyed the Lemon Space Dog for a lighter taste on a warm afternoon. I cant remember all the names, but one beer was flavored with hot peppers which would be great to accompany Italian, a stout for the bitter lovers, and another good tasting beer with high octane for those who brought along a designated driver. Food smelled delicious but I stuck with the beer. Management team was great with several ideas for new beers and were heavily involved with community activities.

The Coxe Avenue restaurant has excellent pizza, nachos, salads, and other food. The brews are the best in Asheville (and that is a strong compliment), particularly the Shiva and Houdini beers. This restaurant has several TVs, which makes it good for watching ballgames with friends. It is just a very comfortable place to go and hang out. There is also a covered patio, which is a good place to eat if the weather is nice. All in all, this is one of the best places to go in Asheville for inexpensive (but good) food and tasty beer.

I was here three times in less than 24 hours. I was able to sample delicious beer, and buy it in the growler. I drank Shiva IPA, Ashevillain, Perfect Day IPA, Ninja, Escape Artist, Rocket Girl, and Draft Punk. I enjoyed some of the beer more than others. The food was tasty. The service was funny, polite and prompt. When I broke one of the shakers of the crushed red pepper, the staff were quick to clean it up. The bathrooms were clean. I enjoyed my time spent here, and I want to go back to Asheville.
