I loved this place. I ordered a pepperoni pizza and a salad. The salad had a vinaigrette dressing I believe and the greens were very high quality and very fresh. The pizza was built differently than you would expect. The cheese and pepperoni were spotty.... maybe arranged carefully... rather than being all over. Some people may not like that, but there was no greasiness or distasteful proportions anywhere on the pizza. Every bite was great and I didnt find myself picking at anything, I just ate it because it was perfect. The crust was very nicely shaped and was crisp and tasted excellent. The flavor of the pizza overall was fantastic. Ill definitely be returning.

I have been a regular. Love the pizza dough, love the sandwiches and salads. When I say regular I mean it, pretty much once a week. Last two weeks, service and food has been mediocre. Brought a group of friends for lunch - restaurant had 3 or 4 tables at most and it took over an hour for lunch to be served for sandwiches only. Then this week, came again to have small salad and veggie pizza; salad had a bug in the greens. I pointed it out and nothing was said just taken away, as I had eaten 3/4 of it. I was surprised to say the least. No good byes, thanks for visiting, everyone seems a tad to themselves working at the restaurant. Im bummed.

Rustic Appalachian Italian is how one blogger described All Souls, and I think that sums it up nicely. This is a quintessential Asheville dinning experience featuring local ingredients prepared in creative ways. All Souls is one of the best kept secrets in town, tucked away as it is in the River Arts District. Local, fresh ingredients are highlighted on an ever-changing menu. The heirloom gains used in the pizza and pasta are hand-milled. Laid back, friendly service. If youre coming to Asheville and want to avoid the herds downtown, head over to the River Arts District and dine at All Souls. Youll be glad you did.

This place has fantastic food in very unique flavors. The soup of the day (cauliflower, ginger, and leeks) was a generous portion and one of the tastiest soups Ive ever had. The pizza had asparagus and robiola - a combo which didnt sound appealing, but was incredibly yummy. The pizza crust was one of the best Ive ever had (I dont like crust, but I liked this and my companion, who loves bread, really loved it). We tried the rye cake raspberry dessert and it was heavenly. Everything about it was great individually and put together it is one of the best desserts Ive ever had.

The cherry cider is so good give it a try. The hushpuppies maybe skip. Almost burned on the outside and a little undone one the inside. Waiting for our pizza now...the atmosphere is nice. We came at night. The crickets chirping and outside area was nice. Picnic tables and nice lighting. Our waitress was attentive and knowledgable about the menu. The wait for the food was a little excessive it seemed, but I was hungry so it probably seemed longer. ....just had the pizza...want up to five stars...very good... dont skip it. Total tab 2 beers pizza and hushpuppies 36 bucks.

I freaking love this place. Food, service, ingredients, philosophy, atmosphere. I see a lot of longtime Asheville friends when I go there - not just tourists - and that says a lot. There is usually a short wait, but the food is so worth it. If I see something on the menu Ive never tried before, I try it at All Souls - I trust theyll do a good job. One of my very favorite spots in Asheville. Since opening they have improved sound absorption inside and it is now much more quiet and pleasant than when they first opened.

Had the only salad offered. It consisted of a handful of butter lettuce, 8 chunks of "roasted " beets, and thank God, I had the 2 oz of chicken(including dark meat) added. It cost 12 dollars. After it arrived, the waitress asked me if something was wrong. I explained there was not much to the salad. She said this is exactly what the menu described. She asked if there was anything that would make it better(with slightly veiled sarcasm). Overall a terrible experience.

On a road trip in the Summer of 2015 and I was starving. It was late and everything was closed or closing. It was almost 10pm, but they totally welcomed us. Absolutely delicious! They had one that I think had pepperoni, kale, and other toppings- SO good!! I had a glass of wine, even better. I live in California and we have good pizza, but if Im ever back in Asheville, definitely hope to return. Laid back vibe, but also romantic lighting at night. Loved it .

The service here was a joke. After being seated, we saw our waitress a grand total of 4 times throughout dinner. One visit consisted only of the server filling our glasses (no ice) and spilling water down the table. No apologies, no extra napkins. The (remarkably small) pizza was mediocre at best; good subtle flavors, but not worth the price. The atmosphere was sparse and uncomfortable. Dont waste your time or money here; Asheville has much better to offer!

There are a lot of options with which to top your pizza, and all the ingredients seem to be non-processed and a little healthier. We got a 12" pizza with local pepperoni, mozzarella, and spinach. You can taste the ingredients; I didnt get the impression that my pizza came from a mix. The service was great, and theres a good vibe throughout the place. We sat inside, but theres also a large outdoor patio and a good sized parking lot.

Free parking (right there in front of the place) AND gourmet pizza for a good price. At first I thought they accidentally served me a salad pizza by mistake because when I read the special... I didnt get past "bacon" before I said Ill take it. I COULD see the bacon but still, it looked like a garden salad. The flavor was fantastic. I just wanted a quick bite to eat, but I died and went to heaven.

Local food is highlighted here! i made a google plus account just to comment on how much I loved the flavours and how much I appreciate Brendans view on local and fresh ingredients. They mill their own grain, pick their own veggies, and they are starting a garden next door. These guys are the real deal. Much love from your west coast Canadian friend !

Well located just outside of the arts district, the biggest challenge was just getting in to the super busy place! It was worth the wait as food was prepared quickly and was delicious. Everyone really enjoyed their meals. It was maybe a little bit hectic because of the load, but all restaurants should be so lucky! Try the roasted beets with horsey cream!

Good pizza, we got the egg and ham. The egg unfortunately makes the crust fairly soggy, but good flavor and the edges were nice and crispy. Split the pizza and a dinner salad. Interesting salad (cress, butter lettuce, radish and a piece of bacon) but it was annoying because nothing was cut up and didnt really seem worth the $9. Good overall tho

Pizza was ethereal (perfect). Get the tomato and mozzarella. There are other options, but it is unlikely I will ever try any of them. From the tangy tomato sauce, to the little spots of rich, melted cheese, to the dough made with flour they mill themselves, its simple perfection and Ill never need anything else. They also have gluten-free pizza.
