Its wholesome all-natural ingredients approach to cakes and tarts couldnt compete economically with the cut-price supermarket and restaurant suppliers; with the retirement of Henry, their last remaining cake decorator, Greyston stopped even the custom/wedding cake business. Other than its superb Brownie line and Cookie Thins line (available for order on the web site, and from a variety of quality retailers across the country, including Whole Foods) its concentrating on baking products for others labels and on inclusions (as for Ben & Jerrys ice cream).

Called to inquire about delivery of cupcakes for a birthday celebration. The gruff voice on the other end of the phone barked that they dont make cupcakes, and there is a two week minimum advance for ordering a cake for delivery. I was given the very clear impression that my business was unwelcome and that the person ostensibly working for the company couldnt be bothered to be courteous, much less helpful.

Ordered online, bought a small variety pack of brownies. They arrived in just a few days. All three flavors were excellent. Loved the Blondie with chocolate chips the most. Their packaging is also really nice looking. So Id recommend this for gifts to friends or coworkers.
