My fiance and I had been searching for a ramen house for close to two years and we were always let down. We came into Mokomiya the other day for lunch and absolutely loved it. The appetizer was flavorful and was a good portion, the ambiance is fun retro Japanese posters and a cool hand painted map of Japan, the ramen was delicious! My fiance and I kept trading bowls because both selections had such different and aromatic flavors, we simply loved everything about it. Our waiter was also VERY kind and helpful. This will absolutely be our new weekly lunch spot!

I must say, the ramen was delicious. The broth was somewhat delicate and a little spicy at the same time which was nice. Good plating and presentation, the pork was tasty, but a touch dry. The nori added a nice touch of seafood freshness. My problem was the two guys running it at the time. The younger one was clearly training and the other was very dismissive about my pointing out of a buy 1 get 1 half off beer special listed on their website. Never came back to see how I was. Luckily, the food is great. 3 stars, but just barely.

Great to have an authentic Japanese restaurant in downtown White Plains. Had tonkotsu ramen and really liked the broth. Pork was a bit dry and tough and also server one slice versus two slices at other ramen restaurants. Although price is a bit higher than standard, Id come back again, especially for their lunch special ramen set during the week.

If you have an MSG allergy, do not order the pork broth ramen. They have a substantial amount in all the pork ones. I was really thirsty and have a very mild allergy to it so i know when i consume it. I thought it was just me but nope. all the pork ones which is terrible. they dont have warning or anything. please be careful!

This was pretty solid, ramen was great, the place is not fancy and I would almost say its a hole in the wall type of joint, hard to find too, on court street which is off the beaten path, I hope it stays for a long time....anyway solid food and the soup was awesome

Casual nice place to grab a bite. No large sign on the street but the windows were filled with merchandise so you can miss it if you are walking by. Laid-back, beautiful plating, excellent noodle. Make sure to ask about any specials not on the menu!

Im a little bit disappointed b/c we drove from Stamford to try the ramen here. I had Spicy Tonkatuz. The soup is not bad but the pork is kinda dry and hard. Id give 3.5 if I can. My husband has Miso Ramen. It was not that good.

I was skeptical about the Ramen craze but this place is excellent. The staff is great, the food excellent, the accommodations great. White Plains parking arrrgh not the restaurants fault.

Pretty good Japanese ramen when a lot of the other Japanese places around are more Asian-fusion. Never super crowded because theres not a lot of foot traffic that goes by.

Excellent ramen in a low key place. The spicy pork ramen is great and the goyza is tasty as well. Not many frills but certainly worth the cost and a visit.
