So where do i start... Last night i had one of the worst experiences ive had in a long time. Let me say that i love the food at mecha, ive been coming to this place for a while. I frequent at least twice a month, wether it be takeout or dine-in. I wouldnt call the service great here at all...out of all the times ive been i probably had good service 3 or 4 times. Last night was the worst. And let me point out i work at a restaurant so i feel obligated to tip 20% wherever i go no matter what kind of service i get...just cause i understand tips are the servers lively hood. So what happened last night that got me to tip the lowest i ever have in my life. 1. Server did not introduce her self at all..she went straight for what would you like to drink. (No biggie, it was busy i understand) we ordered 2 limeades 2. For some reason two tables (4 tops) that sat after us which she was serving got their drinks way before us. Our drinks arrived with our app. So i say we sat for about 15 or 20 mins with nothing but a wall and tap water in front of us. 3. Usual as per your restaurant you hand out towel wipes and place the choppedsticks and napkins in front of the customers. We go nothing, but all the other tables around us did. (No biggie again it was busy...im a pretty understanding person when it comes to this restaurant busy) 4. Our noodles comes out, no ask if we needed anything mind you we where sitting at the bar in front of a wall far down by the exit door we didnt get a condiment basket in front of us or anything we had to steal from the people besides us which was awkward. 5. Not once were we checked on after we got our noodles. Not once were we ask if we wanted a refill...i finished my drink before i got my pho...put it on the side so she can see that i was done.... passed by, i counted 4 times! Me and my boyfriend are both in the restaurant business and what we experienced last night was one of the worst service we have ever have.. she deserved nothing which my boyfriend wanted to do..but because i have a heart for this business i couldnt see myself doing that so i tipped her anyways... the only reason im writing this review (my first review by the way...i hate these things cause most of the reviews are fake in my opinion) is because im black and the biggest misconception with "black people" is we do not tip very well so dont want her(our server) to think that we are cheap and it doesnt matter what service i got cause i wasnt going to tip good..but because you sucked as a server last night and it was that bad that you deserved nothing. Didnt catch her name obviously...but it was a older butch lady Caucasian piercing on her lip or somewhere on the face. I hope this review helps you improve your staff and service. You have a great place but your service needs improvement.

Not particularly "out-of-this-world" ramen. There is enough flavor that I like it, but I wouldnt say its really a game changer. The main problem I have with it is the shear amount of sodium that is inside of it. My arteries feel like NYC water mains from the high blood pressure I get each night Ive eaten here. I know that ramen will naturally have a high sodium content, but Ive tried authentic restaurant ramen from various Japanese establishments in the NY metro area, and this is clearly over salted. Sea water would be a decent chaser after finishing an entire bowl to cut the edge off the saltiness. The spring rolls are nice, but in my opinion expensive. They are the same type Id get in Bridgeport Vietnamese restaurants only smaller and more expensive per roll. The atmosphere is interesting, and they certainly have a decent vibe going on. It seems to be popular among the younger crowd with the average age being no higher than 19 here. The furniture is horrible, and its clearly because they want you to not get too comfortable so that youll take a table for longer than an hour. Service is so-so... waitress came around a few times, bus boys were quick to clear up, and water was kept filled. Nothing to write home about I guess, but theyre certainly much better than their counterparts in Fairfield. The other thing that isnt particularly... stellar is their requirement that all members of a party be present before being seated. This area of SoNo is not great for parking, so when I explained that one member of my group was parking the car and will be with us shortly to the host, he was indifferent and wouldnt seat us. This caused us to lose the private table that had been available and we had to sit in the shared table with the terrible stools. If business is that great, then I dont suppose theyll be changing that policy anytime soon. And I certainly wouldnt return to exasperate any sort of heart disease this food will cause.

The food was very good here. I got the vegetable ramen with tofu, lots of flavor, lots to taste. Excellent until the last bit. Also got the bubble tea with tequila. Pretty good drink. The bushido draft sake was better. Drinks and food wise I highly recommend, although their 12 Oz servings of beer do not seem to be accurate honestly. Will go back again for sure though, ramen was just that delicious. I can definitely see how this place can become tight and packed when it gets busy at night. Even half full seems almost tight. Service was satisfactory. Didnt have to wait long for the food at all.

The Fairfield location is so much better when it comes down to the quality of food. I got the firecracker wings at both locations. Here they over seasoned them to point where my mom and I have to wipe it off. The Pho here was okay, they give so much noodles compared to the broth and meat that it seemed overwhelming inside of the bowl. But the seating arrangement here is way better than Fairfield. Unfortunately here you have to pay for parking and Fairfield is free.

One of my favorite places to eat. The boas are life changing and the soups are to die for. However, if you are looking for AUTHENTIC pho, this is not the place for you. This place gets creative with their pho and ramen, which in this case is their competitive edge. Reasonable prices for Sono (mostly because its soup) and chic, fun, fast-paced interior; this place gets CROWDED and LOUD. Dont be surprised to wait for a table. Its worth the wait!

This place is so so so needed around here. Get the firecracker wings, some bao and some pho. The mushrooms dumplings are insane if you want a veggie app, and Ive heard the veggie ramen is good, but Ive never had it. The drinks here are great, if you like whiskey try the voodoo priest, if you like fruits, get a bubble tea with added liquor. Great for lunch, great for dinner. Get there early though as this place gets packed, and for good reason.

Had the pho bo vien and it was very delicious. Its a nice laid out restaurant and very reasonably priced. The service, atleast when i went, was lackluster. When i was asked if i needed another moment to look at the menu, he disappeared so long, another server had to take my order. Not his fault as he got bombarded with questions at another table, but his service throughout was less than desirable.
