Attack us for a tip? I searched for this place to take a break for the local gym and have a nice dinner. Found this place and decided to walk 15 mins to check it out. The food and service was great. We realised when We got there that they only took cash. We put our money together and got enough to pay for our meal. We were about to leave when the server asked us if everything was OK if something was wrong with our meal. We said no We enjoyed everything was great. He asked then Why dont We leave a tip because he dosnt get payed except for the money We give him. Oh OK I understand. Some restaurants do that. I dont normally go to restaurants that do, and some times I do forget to leave a tip after a bunch of splitting the Bill Math and need to be reminded. I was going to really take out my wallet and leave a generous amount when he continued. "how do you get payed you work right" my friend and I looked at each other confused at this mans sudden raised attitude that switched from pleasant to demanding "you need to leave me a tip Thats how I get payed Thats what you do in other restaurants right? Thats what your suppose to do. First of all other restaurants do a little thing called gratuity. And if they dont there are muuuuuuuch nicer and polite way of asking for a tip. How were We suppose to know he only got payed this way? What if We only had money for the food? We just go hungry? Not to mention the feeling of this man was only nice for the money and turn once he thought he wasnt getting any. It also brings up "why?". Was it because We looked young? Because We where black or misunderstood parent just trying to send his baby to college? Ether way, We were going to need this a weekly spot, work out at the gym come here for dinner. Even remember to bring cash for a tip. But this experience but such a bad taste in our mouth (even with some goooood food) no way We are coming back. So if you decide to eat at this place dont Dare forget the tip. Aside bring some RAID cose there were ants every where

I REALLY wanted to love the place. Everything started perfectly: great decoration, nice setting, and friendly staff. I’m a Ramen Fan and had them in Europe, Asia and America so one could say I’m quite picky. What disappointed me was the taste or more the lack of it. I found the Ramen I picked (Super Miso) bland. Not in a “this is not good” way but more in a “it could have been so great” one. Same reaction for the person with (also a Ramen Fan). I’m not saying it wasn’t good but just merely Ok. However, the numerous great reviews makes me think it might just have been a one-time failure. So I will give the place one more chance see if I change my mind!

Awesome spot near the Morgan stop for ramen. If Robertas is too long of a Wait (it always is) and dont want to wait for the hype (which it is all hype) come through here. The food is well worth it. Taste, flavors and smells all over the place. Your taste buds will seriously thank you. Want some spice? Pshh, they got you! Service is topnotch as well. BYOB if you choose to be a beer snob in public, more power to you. The only thing that might be hit or miss with people, is the fact that youll share a table with people. Again, this could go either way, but hopefully youll always have cool people to hang with.

This is a good spot because its quiet and friendly and the food is okay. They have a BYOB policy and a the interior is nicely decorated, like a wooden shack made for communal eating. The ramen itself is fine, the noddles are good, they have gluten free options, but the broth is definitely not that fantastic. Id recommend getting extra miso and roast garlic for sure. Their pork buns are decent, so maybe rock up here to have a catch up with a friend, eat pork bun and grab a beer from across the street. Not amazing, but serves a purpose and is a good spot to hang out at.

This is the best Ramen in all of NYC. I have been to many a ramen place around town and they have all been fairly decent but this one stands out because of their simplicity. Each bowl of ramen has the right amount of broth to meat to noodle ration and you can customize it, adding items, removing the amount of salt in the broth. completely amazing. I have tried them all and they are all fun and unique in there own special way. Come for the Tyson Ramen but dont forget to order Kimchi, it is AMAZING!! only con: cash only but BYOB!

I have been here twice and really love it. Great atmosphere. I got the pork sliders and mabo ramen. Both are amazing. The mabo had the perfect amount of spice and the broth was very rich and full of flavor. The pork sliders are delectable. The service is wonderful and the gentleman who served me both times is very nice, attentive, and cute. I will definitely be back. Thank you.

This place is cozy. Always has great service and the ramen will leave you feeling nice and pleasant. A certain euforia will envelope your soul and spirit. Ive been going here so often that I got to know the owner.. Hes a really solid nice guy just doing his thing since he the beginning of the bushwick trend. You can count on enjoying the food here every time!

Is it okay? Yeah, sure, its okay. I mean, the noodles taste pretty prepackaged, but the broth was okay I guess. Not great. Solid 3/5. You can bring your own drinks, which is cool, but I mean, eh. Meh. Very meh. Nothing wowing about this place. Go, hang out, have a good time, eat some mediocre ramen, whatever. Its not bad, its not great. Its just kinda there.

This place sucks the Ramen was Al Dente I dont think Ramen is supposed be like that its like you didnt cook your top Ramen enough also the chicken that was on top was cold and the egg was like hard boiled. It should be the yoke should still be a little bit runny so overall it really sucked

I love this place. One of my go tos in an ever changing neighborhood. Affordable, CASH ONLY, and (most importantly) BYOB. I highly recommend the Tan Tan Men, which is not a Village People song, but a bowl of spicy peanut broth ramen with cabbage and ground pork. I love you Shinobi.

The tan tan men is ridiculous. Ive been looking for a good Dan Dan noodle for years in this city, and though this isnt precisely the dish (apparently its the Japanese version) - I nearly died of happiness while eating it. Stellar food here - quick service and you cant beat the byob!

This is my absolute favorite place to eat in Bushwick. The broth is made daily, and slow cooked for 7 hours, which adds an incredibly rich flavor. Its BYOB so dont forget to stop by a bodega on the way, and grab something to bring in. I just wish it was open on Sundays.

Shinobi Ramen has some of the best ramen Ive ever had, definitely the best place to go in New York. They make their own broth, cooked for 7 hours. Its small and cash only, the only way they can improve is by accepting my credit card...
