All I can say is that I had an amazing experience here. Compared to its brother Quality Meats, this place wins my vote hands down. My girlfriend had recommended this place but we had never taken a trip here until now. Oh boy do I regret not coming here sooner. Now getting to Quality Italian is a little confusing. The entrance isnt really on 57th Street, but through the bar and up the stairs on 6th Avenue. Once you make your way upstairs, youll be greeted with their large dining area. As far as what we ordered, we got: - Fucilli alla Norma ($20) - Oysters Ricci ($14) - The Quality Italian Chicken Parmigiana ($29 per person) Right off the bat, please order their chicken parm. This thing is out of this world, and is literally a pizza of chicken parm. Theres a reason that there is a 2 person minimum to this dish. It fills you up. There is a ton of flavor within each bite, and the chicken itself is incredibly juicy. The other 2 dishes that we ordered were alright, but nothing that is really memorable. If I were to order one of the two again, I would go with the oysters ricci because the fucilli was just a little salty to me. Ambiance and service-wise, I cannot find a complaint. Our server was incredibly attentive, and the noise level wasnt overly loud. Would I eat at Quality Italian again? Oh yes please, as long as I can get my chicken parmigiana.

This restaurant will lure you in with their outstanding pasta, steak and the garlic bread alone! It is close to Cental Park and the decor is classy yet casual. I love how the dishes here are meant for sharing because they are perfect for family. Here are a few dishes I really like. First of all, you need to indulge in their free garlic bread. It is so buttery, garlicky and tasty! The chicken Parm Pie is a winner although you need at least 3 people to finish it without stuffing yourself stupid. The steak for two is another dish that can easily serve 3 adults and it is excellent. Their aged steak ravioli in brown sugar butter sauce is also delicious but more on the sweet side. I highly recommend the other pasta dish with pork shoulder sauce; it is definitely better than your grandmas recipe! Unfortunately, I never made it to eat their desserts the twice I have been here. I ate way too much of the garlic bread, pasta and steak before I made it to dessert round. They do look delicious too. This is a perfect spot for business meals, family and dates!

Wow! Seriously WOW! EVERY single thing we got here was amazing! The NY style salad is great...the bread and the olive oil for the table are so delicious, I actually was spooning some olive oil into my mouth...I asked the waitress to check what kind of olive oil it is...so delicious. We got olive oil 3x and extra bread. The sommelier directed us to the most amazing white wine. We got th Corn brulee...amazing! I got the gnocchi...wow...they shouldnt even be able to call it gnocchi...it should be called little light delicious potato and cheese fluff balls...it reminded me of my grandmas pierogies...I almost cried! My husband got the sirloin agnolotti...the pasta was cooked to perfection and was delicious. For dessert we got the ferrero rocher gelato...wow! Better than in italy...very complex in flavors and so creamy. He got the smore dessert..that was amazing as well. Literally everything was amazing...Im still dreaming of it, and I want to go back.

We came here after happy hour on Friday night so there was absolutely nowhere to sit inside the dining area, thus we settled ourselves at the bar as same menu was provided anyway. We shared everything as portion-wise they were kind of small. Strongly recommended the baked clam and grilled octopus; as the meat completely absorbed the juice and was very chewy...hmm yummy! The steak however, was a bit overcooked given the fact that we only asked for medium rare. The last highlight was absolutley the dessert - we shared the apple and brown butter tart with cream, caramel and brown sugar as three separate sauces. I prefer to eat the tart without any addition however my friend really enjoyed the caramel. Their wine list was also pretty intensive. Try their house signature grapefruit cocktail! Overall my experience here was great - delicious food with intimate ambience. Have to make reservation ahead of time next time to guarantee a seat!

My family at first ventured to Quality Meats (just around the corner), but as a walk-in, couldnt find a table, so the lovely lady arrange for a table for us at Quality Italian instead. Sat down and our server who was amazingly excellent with the recommendations. The decor is really nice, the servers service was really good. But what I wasnt prepared for was the food. The seafood platter was really awesome, and when my steak arrived, honestly, was the best i have ever tasted. And Ive tasted my share of meat and this is by far the best. Of course, this is just my opinion and I like how my meat is a little charred on the outside, making it really crispy, while my knife cut through the meat like butter on the insider where it is so amazingly tender. On my next trip back to NYC, Ill definitely make my stop here. But be warned; the price matched the quality.

Easily one of the best meals and dining experiences Ive had. Everything is so well done and tasteful, from the bar area in the front where they make an excellent Old Fashioned, to the hostess and servers and sommelier, they simply are all great at what they do. And the food is out of this world. Braised veal shank that literally falls off the bone when you stick your knife into it. Homemade pasta thats cooked to a perfect consistency. Their "bread" is actually these little garlic balls that are puffy and crunchy at the same time (we actually asked for a second round of those). And the desserts were delicious as well. The steaks are well seasoned and delicious as well. The worst part about this place is deciding between which dish to order. Its on the expensive side, but absolutely worth it.

This high end Italian restaurant is one of my favorite restaurants in New York City. Since first eating here I try to go here at least one time every time that Im visiting New York City. The one menu item that is not only my favorite but the main reason that I go here is the chicken parmesan. Its such good quality - so fresh and consistent. Its very large and is meant to be shared. This easily could be shared by three people. The chicken parmesan is what Ive mainly gotten here but the bread and olive oil that come with the meal are also fantastic. The atmosphere is great and the service is always knowledge and fast. I definitely recommend trying to get a reservation for Quality Italian, this place is always crowded for a reason - its as good as it gets!

You will read in other reviews that the food is good and portions large........absolutely true. We shared the famed chicken parmesan three ways and had a section left over. The steak for 2 should be shared by 3 or 4. But thats not the thing we will remember about Quality Italian. The demography is groups of 8 to 10 guys in their 40s..........large, loud guys.........think "first responders or commodities traders on a night out". And that was the background for our waiter who thought HE was the main event. He was loud and intrusive. He made it impossible for us to have a conversation amongst ourselves. Quality Italian is a hit and will be a great success. Its just not for us.
