Went there tonight (12/14/16) and had their $21.95 special. Plus and extra order of mozzarella sticks. Lets start with the sticks, for $7.95 there were 8 or 9 on the plate and the cheese was still hot and melty. Most places give you 6 and the cheese is either cooled off or melted out so its just a hollow stick. Also got the stromboli as part of the special, it was delicious and the sauce for dipping was outstanding. The bread was fabulous, hot and fresh, though I wasnt thrilled with olive oil they had for dipping. Then came the salad which was simple mixed greens, but very good, followed by the entrée. I had their Chicken Martini. The lemon sauce was so good, very tangy, I loved it and would go back for that alone. For dessert I got the cheesecake and a cup of coffee. The cheesecake had clearly been in the fridge for a while and was a little dried out. My mother who with me had the cannoli which she was raving about how fresh it tasted. The staff was very friendly but seemed to be constantly running around which resulted in some service issues. My mother had asked 3 times for some parmesan cheese for her eggplant rollatini and it was finally brought as she was eating her last bite. We also had to ask twice for more bread. Its possible it was just one of those nights and since this was my first time I wont hold it against them too harshly. But it is why I gave 4 stars instead of 5. I would definitely recommend as the food was wonderful and you get good portions for the price.

I was responsible for catering an affair of well over 100 people at a semi-formal dinner dance where the food needed to be special. Taormina II came through with flying colors, serving a three course meal (hot appetizers, full buffet dinner, and dessert) that left our guests raving about the food. No detail was too small to be taken care of, and the staff was friendly and efficient. Our organization had had samples of food from Taormina IIs restaurant before, so we decided to try them for catering. This was our second year in a row of having them cater our annual dinner, and this year was even better than last. If you like high-quality Italian fare prepared to perfection by people who love what they do, Taormina II is highly recommended!

I decided to try Taorminas ...it was a horrific experience. First impression, you walk in to a grey, dismal bar and nobody is there to greet you- We finally got seated in the rear dining room (the yellow room) our table had a terrible stench to it and the food was severely over-priced. The wine tasted very cheap- and during our meal, we heard a huge fight break out in the kitchen. It appears the owner was yelling and screaming at his staff- it was so loud and disruptive that no one in the dining room could move...I was afraid a physical fight would start. This place needs a major face-lift, better chef, and more reasonable, realistic pricing.....not worth going back

This restaurant is absolutely fantastic! The food is authentic Italian food not fast food Italian. The service is friendly and fast. Everyone in this restaurant treats you like your family. Carlo was my waiter and we loved him. He is fun and amusing. Anthony the owner is the nicest guy and really cares about his customers. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who knows and enjoys good food and friendly service. Bon a petit!

My wife and I dropped our car for a service. We decided to stop in on a gamble to see how this place was. WOW!! Both of us are picky about certain dishes and they nailed both. Could not believe how fast and pleasant the service was. Definitely making it a point to stop back in my travels.

The staff were so friendly that the food could have been poor yet we still would have had an enjoyable experience. Luckily the food is also good, especially the pizza, reasonably priced too, perfect after a day of travelling on the Hudson Line all day.

Really enjoyed the lunch. I paid under $10 for a sandwich, fries and a glass of iced tea. The sandwich was so big, I was stuffed and took half of it back to the hotel and ate it for another meal. Id go back for sure.
