I will admit the place is dingy, dirty, cramped, tiny, maybe a bit dark, service isnt the best in the world, etc... but the food is so amazing to me it doesnt matter. I dont drink so I cant say anything about the margaritas or the insane selection of tequila, but I love that they give you mild AND regular salsa with your chips. To me, there is nothing more amazing than a MC chimichanga. Not sure about the reviewer who said he got taco meat in his, because Ive always been asked as to what kind of meat I wanted in mine- I always choose the shredded beef. And you cannot miss the bunuelo (not sure on the spelling) for dessert, it is amazing! I have never been disappointed by my visits- only by the lack of space and feeling like being right up against the other customers. I think MexConx should either do a total remodel or just move into a better location..they deserve it!!

Having lived in Texas for 16 years, I know my tex/mex. This was a good showing. Great, friendly service. They seemed to be having a slowdown in the kitchen but my fellow diners who had been there before said thats never happened before. Food was very good and tasted mostly like I would expect from a place back home. Some particulars about food: Pros: Reposado margarita was good and strong. Great honey orange fajita special. Standard (but good!) shredded chicken enchiladas with green sauce. I didnt try the shrimp quesadilla but everyone else raved about it. Looked almost more like a large soft taco than a quesadilla with all that shrimp, and thats not a bad thing. Cons: Guacamole and both kinds of rice I tried (Mexican and yellow) needed more seasoning, but still werent bad, just meh. Overall, a great tex/mex meal where I wouldnt have expected one.

Our server was the only good part of this experience. We waited for our food for over 60 minutes, when it came out it was incorrect. I asked to have my order corrected only to have the "chef" replate the same food for me. The server again very wonderful did take the meal off of the bill for me leaving me hungry 2 hours after our arrival. Horrid experience. I frequently purchase gift cards for my clients from this establishment, that too will cease. Maybe bad food and great service work for some but for me Ill take good food good service together.

We thought this might be a good place but it turned out to be pretty bad. The burritos and enchiladas were very cheesy and fatty, and pretty flavorless. After living in California, weve gotten spoiled and good Mexican food in New York is hard to find. But this place is worse than most, and overpriced. Most of the ingredients tasted like they were "store-bought" - the chips are not freshly made and taste like Tostitos from a grocery store. The salsas are pretty flavorless too. We dont intend to return.

Fun place. Large selection of tequilas. Reasonably priced. The food is decent, average and not bad. For people who say this is the best Mexican food theyve had, well you need to get out more and explore. Will I return? absolutely because its decent and inexpensive. Its a locals favorite. Its not a big place so you may have to wait at busy times. The service is usually welcoming and friendly with smiles.

The fajitas are the best! You will not go away hungry. They use filet (tenderloin) for the beef fajitas. The chips and salsa are excellent! The Margaritas are very good also! I have been to here at least a dozen times and the service is always excellent! Very friendly and courteous! You should definitely go here! We will be back soon!

Best Mexican food in Saratoga. Lots of Mexican dishes that you typically dont see in a Tex-Mex restaurant. Portions are great. Awesome selection of tequilas.Staff is pleasant and fully versed on all dishes. Plenty of parking available in their private parking lot. Highly recommend going to the Mexican Connection. You wont be disappointed.

Ive had enchiladas many many times in my life but when I tried them at The Mexican Connection it was as if I was eating them for the first time, beautiful! Dont let the haters sway your opinion, this place may be a hole in the wall but it has awesome and traditional Mexican food. Better than El Mariachi III.

If you have never had authentic mexican food than you may be okay with eating here. However, this has to be the worst attempt of mexican I have ever choked down. Terribel food, insane prices, I HATE to say it, but taco Bell is better.
