Changing my review from a 4 to a 2. I originally would of given them a 3.5 but cant do that. I originally said the wings are good and the cyclone sauce. I havent gone here in a while so I thought Id treat my sons because they like it. Theyre kids and they always like anything fried from anywhere. Not hard to impress. When we went they ordered their typical chicken tenders or boneless chicken. Which ever it is. My son was into his second or third chicken tender only for him to spit it out. I looked and he was biting into a giant piece of breading, batter or something. Told our waitress and all she did was offer the kids a free dessert. So I still payed for something that was inedible. It should of been wiped off the bill, replaced with a fresh order and the offer of dessert for them. But no. I ordered these chicken tacos. They were so blan and covered in lettuce and tomatoes. Thats all it was. No cheese or sour cream for the tacos? Huge disappointment and I wont be returning ever again. Even if I was offered a lifetime supply of their fried pickles because they are good. Customer service goes a long way.

We were seated quickly which was great for a busy Friday night dinner. The server was very friendly and actually made some genuine small talk like a locally owned restaurant! We tried the wings to start and a couple drinks. My wife loved the pina colada. There are plenty of beer choices on tap. The menu offers more choices than you might expect. But the wings were surely excellent. I look for fresh crunch on the outside, juicy inside, meaty, flavor, there were high quality wings from a premium supplier. They clearly know how to set up and control the frying temperature and timing, just perfect. And so many flavors of sauces for the wings you have to go back for more just to see. We also liked the ribs and fish tacos. A great delicious choice in a comfortable atmosphere in Poughkeepsie? This is definitely a spot for lunch dinner drinks and more! Try it!

I have gone to this place multiple times for drinks and/or food. Other than ordering chips and guac, the one time I wanted to order a veggie burger, I waited for 45 mins to find out if it is vegan...I still dont know bc the server never returned with an answer, I also inquired with the manager during that time and never got an answer from him either. Additionally, the bar staff is often times rude, ie I just asked what type of beer one of the taps is and the bartender just ignored me, not bc hes busy, there are only 2 of us at the bar. I do my best to avoid the establishment altogether but occasionally I am unsuccessful at coercing my drinking buddies to go elsewhere due to the fact that Hurricanes has cheap beer.

For a new restaurant in the area, Im impressed on how quickly you moved in, but you still have a ways to go in terms of service and food. On the plus side, we were seated quickly and everyone was super nice. On the negative, the service took a long time, not everything ordered came to the table, and the actual taste of the food was just "Ok". I wanted to like this place because its so cute and fun on the inside, but I think I would just go there for a bar atmosphere and an appetizer next time, but perhaps not to catch a serious meal.

I have never been impressed with the service at Hurricane in Poughkeepsie, but tonight prompted a review. 3 of us were seated on the outside deck on a what seemed to be an ample staffed night for the current customer base. We waited 15+ minutes and no one came to our table with several servers walking past our table. We left and went to another local establishment. Only after we let the manager know on the way out did we seem to be attended to. Very disappointing.

Ordered from here a few times. Theyve made mistakes but been fine with fixing them. This time when I called because they forgot my drink, the girl on the phone acted like I was personally asking her for a million dollars when I asked the driver to return with my drink. Get a grip, it doesnt affect you. Wont order from these people again.

Ordered an Orange Mochito, rotten and old mint leave and was not very refreshing or crisp. Second attempt, not much better, didnt muddle mint or fruit each time, different combination of fruit each time. Music outside was too loud, they did nothing to lower it when asked, and it was a little loud. The beachside chicken was really good.

Delicious food but slightly pricey! The staff was very knowledgeable about the menu. Willing to let you try the barbecue sauces before ordering. The waitress we had was very patient given this was our first time and were probably a little slower at ordering that regulars in the restaurant!

Great wings and selection for a good price. The size of the wings in comparison to other wings joints are huge and they use just the right amount of sauce so its not disgustingly drippy. Also the voodoo cocktail was quite tasty.

Love love love. Great food, great services, very reasonable prices, family friendly. Never been on a Friday or Saturday night but there is always a crowd and music when I drive by. Lots of Bob Marley. Really gets that ocean vibe.

Love the beach theme, great wait staff and beer selection as well as selection of wings! Salmon and Cuban sandwich very good. Nachos are not a good option - bad combinations of ingredients. Most everything else tasty!

Service was great. The selection of tap beer was good. The nachos needed to have more Chile on it. The service said they could bring more out but I declined. Im hoping that they give you a good portion for now on.

Great dry rub wings! So far, I havent had a better dry rub wing in Poughkeepsie. Staff makes a good balance between checking if you need anything and leaving you to enjoy your meal.
