Unbelievable. If there was an option for 0 stars I would choose that. There is just so much I could say about this place, but I wont because I know my girlfriend would not want me to display publicly - so I wont. I just called my mom to tell her what happened last night, and she even said that was ridiculous and she told me that her and a few families her neighborhood already boycotted this place. I wonder why!? I mean my mom had her 40th surprise birthday at North St. Grill. Well either way, I am not going to share, I am just going to explain what happened to me last night: Its hard to convince my girlfriend to come to this place because of what happened to her in the past. But I finally convinced her to go, about 3 times over the summer and she wouldnt eat. I had no problem with this place until last night. Its New Years Eve and we just wanted to get a drink to celebrate the night before we went home. My girlfriend is a mother who works her ass off, and we got lucky because her mom said she would watch her son for the evening. Well we get there and we sit down at the bar. And we engage in small talk with a friendly folk to our left. I notice the bartender already has a smug look on his face? He passed us several times and made us sit there for about 6-7 minutes. When he finally came over, I asked do you have a wine menu, and is it possible if we can do a desert? He looked at the clock and said the kitchen was closed. Then said "first let me just check your IDs" I said no problem boss. He took both of our IDs and gave me back mine. He took my girlfriends ID and went over into the light and looked at it for about a minute. He came back and said I dont like the "texture" of this license and told my GF "I cannot serve you. " We both laughed because we thought it was a joke... my girlfriend is almost 30 years old. Its weird because me and my GF both have the exact same NY license with a hollogram and everything on it to INSURE it is valid. I dont think you can even fake the new NY license? I could be wrong. Well, he said no, "I had another instance and I am not taking any chances." AND THIS IS WHERE HE WENT WRONG: My girlfriend had about 3 credit cards, a school ID with her picture from a legitimate college, and probably about 3 other things with her name or either a picture on it. We asked if we can show you all of this information to show you that her license is valid. With her license the EXACT same model of mine. Anyway, he said no, I dont want to see any other forms of ID because my mind is made up. This is probably the most arrogant and stubborn person I have ever dealt with. I told him he was 100 percent wrong and he needed to be proved wrong. He could not get it through his thick skull that he was wrong. My GF was extremely embarrassed and just wanted to get out of there. I did not want to make a scene. I just wanted to let this place know, you were 100% wrong and my GF did not want to do anything but go home after you turned her down. Make up your mind PPL, you cant serve someone 3 times over the summer and then turn her down because your to stubborn of an individual!?? This message is for the bartender who does not know how to listen or see what is right in front of him. Open up your mind so this does not happen again and GET A SECOND OPINION. You clearly have no clue what you are doing.

First impressions are important and the vibe I got walking in the door of this cleaned up brownstone put me in the mood for good food. I was zeroed in on the pris fixe menu for Hud Val Restaurant Week and was not let down. The caprese was flavorful, the lobster ravioli/sauce excellent and the ricotte cheese cake pleasantly light. Attentive, friendly wait staff, simple classic decor featuring photos of Fishkill architectural icons from the 1800s and smooth mellow 70s Brit pop soft in the background (Squeeze!), allowing for clear dinner convo in comfortable low tones. Oh, Ill be back...

Been here for beers many times, finally ate dinner here recently and loved it. The food was awesome, the appetizers were pretty hefty, and the prices were actually very good. I was impressed. I used to think that the beer selection here was kind of poor, but I maybe this was the first time that I actually asked what they had on tap, and there were several other excellent beers available beyond what I could see on the tap handles.

A fun, local bar in Fishkill that is a little more upscale than the surrounding bars. We didnt try the food but what people were getting looked good, if not very standard bar faire. Staff was a bit surly though service was quick. Beer selection was decent, but not amazing. Think normal bar drinks like domestics and one or two larger "craft" types. Slightly less towny and motorcycle bar feeling than the others around.

One of my favorite spots in Fishkill and around the Hudson Valley area! Very good food and service, with a quaint atmosphere. Ive been to the area for several business trips and it was very nice to have a place where the staff remembered me. Craft beer selection isnt the best in the area, but its serviceable. Highly recommended if you are in the area.

The food was incredible. Perfect portions, perfectly prepared. The wait staff went out of their way to make our visit as wonderful as it could be. The service was quick but we never felt rushed. The perfect place for a fantastic meal.

Good food, small menu, good craft beer selection. Daily specials to keep things fresh for repeat customers. Nice atmosphere in the village of fishkill. I had buffalo shrimp carbonere, a special, and my wife had the shepards pie.
