Me and my wife have found a jewel of a restaurant right here in Tappan NY right over t he NJ border. The wait staff is great and the food has been exceptional on our last 5 or so visits. We see the same regulars going there all the time which means we are not the only ones that love this restaurant.I even got them to make me a specialty drink a "Little Beer" that the manager had no problem being accomodating. Highly recommend Il Portico to anyone looking to enjoy a fine night out of dining, just make your reservation early, they get packed on the weekends.............................

I was having dinner with my husband last week, when the owner went crazy and berserk on a couple that were waiting to be served. Very unprofessional as the owner was yelling and cursing. Dont know what happened with the couple, but it appeared they were waiting for 20-30 minutes without menus. Never go there again. Oh, and poor service

Truly one of the finest restaurants Ive ever had the pleasure of visiting. The food is absolutely delicious, each dish is better than the previous. the service is terrific and the environment is superb. It is a historical landmark, I highly recommend it.
