The place itself is clean and nice looking, and the snack and bar staff are superb. But if youre a bowler, the lane conditions are inconsistent at best, and there seems to be a serious security problem with stuff getting stolen, so you cant leave your coat, your bag, or even a bowling towel unattended for a minute, or it will be gone. Management doesnt care about the theft problem or warn their patrons; as far as theyre concerned, theyre not responsible, so its not their issue. If youre a bowler, there are better places, lanes wise, and if youre just looking for a fun night out with friends, there are safer places where you dont have to watch your back every five seconds for thieves.

I am appending my review here as I feel some of the comments were unjust and unfair. I do not get the opportunity to open bowl at this center because I live quite a distance away. That being said, they have made some major improvements since they have been taken over. The food menu particularly the wings are really good. Like I have said I really love the staff here all the way up to district and senior managers. My daughters love to bowl as well so theres no reason I shouldnt bring them here to meet everyone and see where I bowl my league. Thanks for making significant improvements and Ill be sure to recommend these lanes to anyone and everyone.

I think the Plainview AMF bowling alley is good bowling alley, especially because they have made major improvements. Even though the bowling alley looks nice and has great employees the lanes it self are way to oily and there have been a lot of items that have been stolen there lately. For example My friend Ben and I bowled there on Saturday and when we finished bowling we decided to play a game of pool but we couldnt find the cue ball, whichs means somebody probably stole it, but overall it is a pretty good bowling alley once you get used to the lanes.

Went here with a date, the lane we were told to use had a ball stuck on it so it took longer to play because we had to wait for someone to come and clear the lane. We needed bumpers up and were told they were up, and they were not. It was an OK experience.

Pizza did not taste like pizza. Kids couldnt eat it. All food is brought in frozen. The chicken wings were pretty good though even though I saw them taken out of the freezer in baggies. Place looks aged and music is from the 80s 90s and poor quality.

They do a nice job keeping the lines maintained, however the staff could stand to be a bit more friendly. Increasingly hard for your more traditional alleys like this to stay relevant when you have trendier places like Bowlmor nearby.

It has a great atmosphere. The bar tender on certain nights named andrea is absolutely amazing. Its a wonderful place to bring the family and kids.
