If you have ever hosted a party here in the past, make sure you do not have the same expectations. I have hosted 2 other parties and been to a number of parties at AMF Norwalk. The party I recently hosted and paid more than I have ever paid for a party at this location was very much a disappointment. There was not a party table set up for the birthday boy, there was no AMF worker assigned to my party to assist, as there has been in the past. I showed up with 10 children and was told which lanes to use. There was a small table with some food for my 7 year olds to help themselves to. The web site still shows the way parties used to be handled. I paid nearly $30.00 per child for 2 lanes of bowling, a hotdog, some pizza, some french fries and lemonade. I was told the management changed a few weeks ago and parties are different now. I asked where the bowling pin was that children normally sign as a gift for the birthday boy. I was brought an old beat up pin that was cracked and dented and scratched. Birthday parties are certainly an after-thought at AMF Norwalk. If you have hosted here in the past you will be unpleasantly disappointed.

Surprised of all the negatives reviews. Perhaps its for the old place (prior to renovation). Went here a couple of weeks with the family (party of 6) on a Sunday nite. We all had a nice time. The staff was attentive and pleasant and the food was surprisingly good. We ordered the appetizer sampler ($28) and got a free $10 card for the game room. My only gripe was that the seating area/lane felt a bit cramped. Would definitely come back here with friends and family.

Over priced poorly planned experience and I will never be returning and would highly recommend people to think twice before going to this venue. Reserved 3 lanes, couldnt get a refund even though they were closed for a snow storm. After spending nearly a grand we were kicked out of the bar by the bartender and not allowed to finish our drinks, which he knowingly poured without informing anyone they were closing. He was rude and had no respect for his guests

First time to check out this place after its former name rip van winkle, the place is modernized, hype, suitable for parties but not for competition..the staff is very attentive,polite...however the only drawback is the pricing an average person will spend $17-$20 just for the lane and shoes not including the drinks etc.a pitcher of beer is over $10...but then again considering the upgrade just probably going there once in a while would be ok..

Horrible. Despite being told that the maximum part size was 8 at a lane, we were overcrowded by a party of 25, which while having 3 lines, chose to congregate right in top of us. They let their kids sit on our bench, play with our scoring pad and just make a general nuisance of themselves. They had no manners and the management thought a few free games was the solution. I will never go back. Have rules and follow them or dont.

Very bad experience here. The computers shut off in the middle of our game, and the manager (Richard) refused to let us continue bowling or give us a refund. Seemed like he could have very easily helped us out - we spent over $100! Extremely unprofessional, poor service. Such a shame, because we have been coming here for years with my family every Thanksgiving, but we will never go back.

Just called to find out priceing and if there were any open lanes available. I spoke to the rudest most unprofessional representative i think by the name of Ashley. Not only did i not get any information but she made it very clear that she did not want my business. Its no surprise this place has a terrible reputation. I will never call or attempt to bowl at this place again.

I almost didnt have my sons birthday party here because of the reviews, Im glad I did. The staff was amazing and went way out of there way to make the party great. Our server ran around getting beers and also kept the kids bowling in order (dont know how she did it). I would safely say our party was a major home run and we plan on going back for more bowling. Great Job!

this place is terrible, i reserved a lane and it costed me $184. I tried to cancel the payment because it was too much and they still charged me. i asked for a manager and waited for an hour, still nobody came to talk to me. The place wasnt even crowded and they still charged me. Service was terrible as well. I DO NOT recommend this place to anyone.

Waited over two and a half hours for a lane while six or more lanes sat completely unused. Was told multiple times that it would be half an hour more, only to come back and be told there was no change. Music ridiculously loud (louder than most CONCERTS). Hot as balls inside. These guys need to seriously step it up!

This is actually a pretty nice bowling alley. It was completely redone about a year ago, I think. Looks really nice inside. They have a bar area and nice comfy seating while waiting for your turn that allows you to chat with the others in your group or next to you. I would recommend as a local place to go bowling.

Super expensive bowling. The staff is okay, nothing spectacular. The cost to bowl is pretty steep though. If you go on the unlimited bowling night you can at least feel like you are breaking even. The music is pretty loud and this whole place has really been designed as more party than bowling-focused location.

Bowling alley has awesome lighting (reminds me of a really nice lounge/club). The bar and food area is really cool to hangout in and the service was great. Theres also laser tag which was super fun; though a little expensive. Overall a great day out though.

And Joshua said, Roll great stones upon the mouth of the cave And it came to pass, when Joshua and the children of Israel had made an end of slaying them with a very great slaughter all the people returned to the camp to Joshua at Makkedah in peace

TERRIBLE, it LOOKS nice, but thats it, it is FAR overpriced, paid $15 for 2 drinks at the bar, 1 beer and 1 coke with rum, outrageous prices. bathrooms are the same as the old place, they didnt even try renovating it

Descent bowling alley. It is very much overpriced like everyone else said but it does look good on the inside. Played a few games here and didnt bother with the bar after looking at the prices.

Great bowling alley. Lots of food and drink options, and a fun environment. Helpful and friendly staff. I think the lanes are a little cramped, but that means more people there having fun!

Great place for family fun. Automated bumpers go up and down as needed. Automated scoring. Arcade with many games and virtual rides. Even has laser tag. Pizza and wings are delicious.

Nice bowling alley... Their prices can get out of control. This week they want 9$ per game, per person plus shoe rental!! Thats over $100 for 30 minutes of bowling...give me a break.

Bowling was very fun when it came to my groups turn to go but the wait was a pain. I had seen empty/vacant alleys but the employees didnt send groups to go, which elongated the wait.
