The waitress charged us the burger that they took back. My family didnt know they charged me for both and paid the bill. When I pointed out that she took back the first burger and brought another one saying her manager said okay. The waitress said she charged me for both burgers because I ordered both burgers. Again I pointed out that, "But you took it back." If I know youre going to charged me for both, I would have kept it and let the guys eat it. Please note, allergy is not a preference, but is a very serious health conditions that can cause tremendous problem to the people who have allergic reaction to certain food or spices. I told the waitress that I allergic to peppers and spicy stuff like people allergic to peanuts. I got ro have no pepper and no spicy in my food. And the second burger was spicier that the first. I didnt eat it. For $16, it is a very expense mistake. After we left, my family realized I was given a spicy burger wrongfully because, my second burger has avacado, which is a spcit burger. They reodered a wrong burger for me. They reorder the spicy burger that son had ordered. After paying the expensive burger, gave the waitress $10 tips for two burgers, I still do not have a burger that I could eat. That manager stopped by and helped out. She explained and showed the waitress how to process the order with only one burger instead of charging two. Unbelievable. If I didnt check the reciept, we would have walked out paying for one burger I did not have, paying for a second burger I could not eat d gave.them a $10 tip. Then the staff from the kitchen kept looking at me with a very unhappy look. Please explained to your staff that when customers returned something because they are allergic to it, it is not because the customer is being picky. It was because of allergic reaction that can cause pain and serious problem for both the customer and the restaurant.

Great food, lacking service. After my fourth time visiting the brick house Im just not sure their awesome food can compensate for the slow and aloof service. Having worked in several food establishments and being raised by a chef I can certainly see things from both sides and not only as a customer. The BBQ is out of this world and the rest of the food is just as great. The menu is creative but still has some classic staples as well. The beer selection is great too and the cocktails are fun and tasty. This would all be fantastic if you didnt have to jump through hoops to get it. Each time, bar service has been slow...very slow. It does seem that certain sections of the bar will be forced to flag someone down for service. This seems to come from a lack of organization as the reasonably sized bar had at least 4-5 staff behind it. I assume they just dont know who has what section or customer. Also expect to be talking to several people before, during, and after you sit down. This has consistently resulted in confused bar tenders/waiters/other help taking the same orders several times and slow delivery of drinks and food. They also check on you at strange times, its picky I know but for example I cant tell you how the meal is going before Ive had a bite and I dont want anything else after Ive had my card out for ten minutes trying to pay. The staff is very nice but perhaps just a bit too casual and that shows in the chaos described above. All said and done I would like to see this place survive and make some training improvements so possible future visits go a bit smoother.

Weekday nightmare. Took my extended family there about 9 of us. We made reservations so we were seated quickly. Shortly after sitting started to notice lack of service. Our server acting strange was only taking partial orders taking long to just bring waters and gone for long stretches of time finally after 1 hour and 35 minutes she come to apologize saying our ticket was next and food would come soon. 1 hour and 50 minutes she tells us theu are making our food and how they are short handed and all these details we should have been told as we were seated. She left with your food willbe out in 5 more minutes. 2 hours and 5 minutes we finally walk out. This was hard for me being that i go there regularly really enjoy the food the atmosphere nachos drinks. The server did all she could. Management really droped the ball thats what bothers me. Someone could have given us a little notice before we sat forn2 hours without food. People call out schedules get mixed but good management handles it. More than 2 hours wait to make Few burgers and nachos.

You will say wow when you first walk in to this restaurant. Theres tons to look at. Then we found ourselves getting a headache at all there really was to look at. There was way too much going on with no specific theme to the place. There was a pool table which was cool to have, but then also a projector playing something that was blurry and we didnt understand why it was there. We did like all the quaint places they put seating as it was a fairly large space. And yet, just way too much going on. Was it eclectic or contemporary with antique flair? Not sure. The waitress was nice and attentive. Food was good, my husband enjoyed the burger and the pizza and sweet potato fries were delicious. The bathroom was horrible. Toilet tissue everywhere, there was a squirt bottle for soap and no paper towels, just more toilet tissue. Overall, mediocre.

Great bartender, bad hosts. Left phone number for text when requested outside table ready. Told 20-25 minutes. Said going to bar to wait. 45 minutes later go to multiple hosts who say sorry we text you several times. Told them never got a text. Was sitting right at bar maybe could have come and looked? Agreed to take us to outside table in the back. Was size of a hubcap. Asked for bigger inside table with booth seat. Was seated back at bar at high table not much bigger than hubcap. We were like we could have sat here 45 minutes ago. Hostess walked away. Finished drinks and left. Went to Prohibition, sat outside on sidewalk like we wanted...

I would love to have given this restraunt 5 stars because I love the food and atmosphere and feel we needed something like this in Rockland. Unlike previous guests my experience with service on all 3 occasions was very good. A sweet young man served us the last time and he was adorable!! The problem we had on all 3 occasions was that the place is always freezing cold. I get that it must be expensive to heat an area this big but something owner should have thought about. As it is the atmosphere lends itself to a "cold" feeling add to that 30 degree temps outside and it is not a good combo. I will not be returning till warmer weather arrives!!!

Ok, heres the situation on this place. Very good food, drinks and atmosphere. The service is horrible. To the owner or GM of this place, here are some tips from a person who is the the customer service business. 1) have your wait staff smile more and be more amicable rather than rude and unpleasant 2) dont have five different wait people handle a big table (we were ten). Drinks orders were fouled up, delayed, forks and knifes missing, though to get questions answered. Total chaos. All of us left this place stating sentence 2 above. None of us would go back due to sentence three.
