Since I only go to diners for breakfast in the evening, I cant tell you much about the rest of the menu, but I did have the Manhattan Diner Burger. It was decent. Nothing to rave about. I have a serious love of sauteed onions and it fit the bill. The Belgian waffle was adequate as well. Once you get late in the day, you know the pork sausage is a bit old, but its not overly dry. The portions are just right. They dont do the standard diner thing of destroying you with toast, three different meats on top of your waffle. But thats kind of what you expect, so its a little disappointing not to see the option on the menu. But this is a "Manhattan" diner, and since Manhattanites have a lower BMI than most of the country, this could be the reason why. Portion control, America, is not a dirty word. Theres free Wi-Fi if youre looking to sit a while. Just ask for the password. They dont rush you out so its a pleasant place to hang and refresh your coffee a couple of times. Overall its a decent diner with good service and a Yelp deal. Cant complain.

typical diner yes but there are other diners popping up with better food. the fruit salad is never fresh and those pastries laying around, even worse. I dont like the idea that I have to pay extra for substitution. this is formerly called key west diner so I had a word with management about the prices going up and they blamed it on the renovation. ok, but the food is still crappy. one more thing, several times I was overcharged when they were key west and now. I use to over look it until I thought, if I did not have enough money to pay for this meal I know for a fact that they would not let me get the meal anyway. its like what those bodegas do. they dont want to give you back the change and then they question me about how rich or poor am I to be asking for the change. besides im sure they overcharge other customer times whatever and that is more money in their pockets again for stale food. I think its time to find another diner or go to the grocery.

Decided to try this diner because I had a bad experience with one closer to me. My daughter and I were greeted immediately and sat within 30 seconds of our arrival maybe even sooner. They bring water to your table within a minute of sitting you down then about a minute later the waiter comes to take your order. Being that it was my first time there I asked for 5 minutes to thoroughly examine the menu. Everything looked delicious. Ended up getting the quesadilla and multi grain pancakes with fruits for my daughter. Food was done to perfection and very delicious. Totally recommend, great atmosphere, delicious food, fast and friendly service. Prices are the average for a diner. Will return.

done some research a few days before Thanksgiving to make sure I could find a marshmallow company that didnt have animal gelatin in their products because some of my guests were vegan. My boyfriend and I had attempted to make it at home but just couldnt get the mixture at the right temperature. When I called Sweet & Sara I didnt realize their factory was in Long Island City, not that far away from our apartment! I was so happy to visit their place with my roommate day before Thanksgiving. Sara literally saved our Thanksgiving sweet potato casserole I was trying to make! It was absolutely delicious and I would gladly buy from her again in the near future.

I went to the Key west diner and cafe whilst i was visiting New York, the authentic diner feel of the place was probably what drew me in, all of the staff were friendly and conversational and i couldnt of asked for better food service, albeit it took a while to recieve our food some days but that is expected for an establishment with so much business as it has. It may not be a convienient place to have your breakfast before work but if you have time to spare such as tourists its a place well worth going to.

I always come here for lunch on Sundays. It is a crazy busy place at that time. Somehow they always get us a table within 5 to 10 minutes. The menu here is very extensive. You can come for dessert, a snack or a 4 course meal. The wait staff is fast and the food is served quickly and the portions are large. But it is diner food. Families, little kids, teenagers and every age group is represented here on Sunday and the noise level is high. Also, they could use 2 more restrooms when its that busy.

I stayed in the Newton Hotel next door and went down to Key West for breakfast each day, the portions are huge and great value as we didnt feel hungry til the late evening. They delivered to the hotel when I stayed there (not sure if they still do or not) but to be honest I didnt use the delivery service as I enjoyed the experience of going down and being in the diner and even stood chatting to a couple of customers whilst I was waiting. I give it 5 stars :)

Though I live only a few blocks away, I typically favored Metro or City over Manhattan Diner. However while my parents were staying around the corner during a recent visit, I found myself here every day for 4 days. Great, friendly, fast service and perfectly brewed diner coffee. Also if you are in the mood for dessert, try their 7-layer chocolate cake. Even at the end of the day it was still as fresh as any fancy bakery for half the price!

The owner at the Manhattan Diner, is a rude obnoxious jerk. After placing my order, he asked for my credit card and said he will call me back in 5 minutes to give me the total. So I called him back and asked him for the total, and he said he cant give me a total. I went off saying what kind of a restaurant is this then he calls me stupid. How stupid are you, that you couldnt give me a total? Dont ever eat there!!!!!

I am allergic to shell fish. They flash cook there sea food and veggie burger on the same burner. I asked for the veggie burger to be cook in a pan, they said they couldnt do it. I been all over the world and this is the only place that couldnt put a burger in a pan. Because they could not guarantee it to be free of seafood. All they had to do was wash the pan very good.

Hello Gregory
We had a wonderful Saturday brunch, the food was very good. I had the Manhattan Frittata, very good with nice crispy edges and well melted cheese. For a buck more I had a very good Bloody Mary. It has been over a year since my last visit and my experiences here would definitely bring me back. If I lived in NYC I would make this a regular stop.
