I heard so much about this place even before I moved in here. Its tough to find a parking spot only because it is popular and very busy and so worth it! The front end has delicious pastries, cakes, cookies and tarts. The back end is where you will find fresh bagels rolling onto the conveyor belt, so doughy soft and piping hot! Grab a bag and put on your gloves, you are in for a treat. Walnut raisin, olive, foccaccia, rye, pumpernickel, marble, semolina, cumin, muligrain, panelle, ciabatta, baguettes, sunflower seed, challah, rolls and varieties of buns and bagels and so much more. Its like being in bread heaven, the great smell and visual treat is just wonderful. There is a little cold meats and cafe section as well. Every customer looks so happy and so busy checking the breads and filling up their bags. I only wish there were labels/ handouts for the treats up front, its a little odd to point at what you want in a sea of goodies! Dont miss this one!

Dont know what sweet treat to get? The answer is RAINBOW COOKIES. Made with almonds, deliciously moist. Each layer is separated by fruity jam and then the entire thing is covered in chocolate. I used to take pounds of this stuff to work in Chicago and theyd fight over it. Their other cookies are also delicious, especially anything with jam. Breads are always fresh and delicious. We get the round rolls hot from the conveyor belt. Also highly recommend their deli, you really cant go wrong with this place. WARNING: this is a true NY style bakery. The foods great, but theres a heavy dose of NY attitude. Service is severely lacking. You wont get much in terms of acknowledgement, a thank you or a smile. God help you if you park wrong during rush hour--someone is definitely going to curse you out. Ive heard people shout "MOVE YOUR F****** CAR!" to each other in the parking lot... on multiple occasions.

We have been using Rockland Bakery Bread for 5 months. They dont use their distributor anymore and nobody bothered to tell us that. Finally, we called the bakery direct. 7 times we were told someone would call us to make an order, yes 7, over the span of 3 weeks. We werent able to order online because our acct number was not valid. We spend thousands each month on bread, yet Rockland wont call us back. The customer service is beyond terrible. Wont reply to VMs or EMs and the people that answer just take our number. Of all the wholesale groups we have contacted, this place is by far the worst. I would be horrified if someone from my company ever communicated this way.

A carboholics dream. Massive selection of breadstuffs, cookies & cakes. Quality varies between different products with excellent seeded or onion rye bread, ciabata rolls and onion buns to mediocre baguettes, semolina bread and meh bagels. I suspect that some breads contain transfatty shortening as this aroma is diagnostic. There arent any ingredient lists for any of these products, so what youre ingesting is a mystery. I can confirm that some pre-packaged breads do contain trans-fats as indicated by the labels ingredient list. It can be smoky inside at times so dont wear your finest garb.

What makes this place so special is the fact that you can almost always pick hot fresh bread/rolls/bagels right out of the oven. With the baked goods cooked on-sight and the selection of pastries second to none this is a must try if you havent. Bread can be sliced before you leave if you choose. They also offer an Italian deli with delicious options to go. They do sell gluten free bread in the form of sliced white loaves. Since it is made in the same facility cross contamination is possible. Nevertheless it is a good alternative.

Bought 4 dozen rolls for a party. They charged me the price per roll instead of a price per dozen. I questioned it and pointed to their sign that gives the price per dozen and was told "thats not for these rolls." She called someone over and asked if there was a code for a dozen of these rolls and was told no. I wasnt going home empty handed for the party so I bought them, but I learned my lesson and wont be back. One less customer taking up space in that lousy parking lot. There are better options around for better prices.

Ok there are three different areas of this bakery and you will need to spend time in each area. * The Bakery is literally where the bread is being baked. You walk around the back of the store taking baked good right off the cooling racks and sometimes right off the line. Amazing!! * The desert area has the best Italian cookies and cakes and plenty of happy staff to assist. * The Deli counter is great, they use the amazing bread to make just about any sandwich you want and the salads a awesome as well.

For the best bagels around ,you will need to check out this place. Go inside and into the back and you will be in bagel heaven. You will feel like you step in time and walking into an old warehouse. But this place is a full on bagel and bread paradise. Grab a few bagels and pick out your bagels yourself. Upfront is the treats, plenty of cookies, cakes and pastries. There is more, if you get there for lunch, you can order a bad*** sandwich. Nothing to complain about in this place.

I had the worst experience this morning , two people were taking breakfast orders and both people were calling different numbers. My number was skipped by just 1 and a tall husky American guy refused to take my order and told me to get a new number, not respecting my time, the time I waited or the extra time I would have to wait. I paid $1 for my coffee and left, then I purchased my breakfast at Nanuet Diner were the food was more expensive but the service is lovely.

I love the products. This place gets very busy with long lines and a very crowded parking lot. Recently seeing they are open till 10:30pm I decided to go at around 8:30pm to avoid the crowds. I managed to avoid the crowds but found they did not have what I needed, the shelves were almost bare. This happened twice to me in the past few weeks. Why have late hours if they dont have the products to sell forcing the customer to come back when they are crowded?

Top of the line bakery. The experience of walking into this place and hand picking your bread from the oven alone is enough for a five star rating. The freshest of the fresh here. They have a great selection of cookies and cakes that are extremely cheap and taste twice as good as they cost. (Must try their fruit tart cake, by far the best I have ever had!) These guys deliver all around the tristate area. They also have a small deli attached as a bonus!

Great place to stop by in the morning. You can actually walk into the bakery itself and pick up bagels as theyre coming out of the oven (yes, theyre HOT). Because of that, the bagels are obviously incredibly fresh. I cant say much on the pastries (I dont have much of a sweet tooth), but what few desserts I have tried have been good (the almond cannoli are delicious!). I highly recommend a trip here if youre ever in the area.
