This cute litte spot offers fresh pastries and Mexican food. The inside was small, with a few table seating. They had some baked goods to the left, such as sweet bread, pound cake, and cookies. On the right, below the counter was the refrigerated window showcase with cakes, other desserts, and drinks. We ended up getting Concha, Oreo Cheesecake, and Choco Velvet Flan. The cheesecake was really dense, a bit too dense for me, but still tasted good. The Choco Velvet Flan was very interesting and tasty as well. We got small coffee also and it was good, solid, smooth coffee. The female staff was nice, not too friendly but she was nice. It was such a cute spot, and they offer so much more than just pastries and bread, I would like to go back for their Mexican dishes, I hear huevos rancheros are pretty great here. Read my full review of this restaurant and food on my food blog, foodlovergirl.

This is an amazing little family owned business in Washington Heights. Now I will say I have only had the pastries and coffee. However both are really good. They have the best Tres Leches I have had in NYC. Thats my go to. The cheese cake is also really good. Usually I get cafe con leche. Its reasonable and pretty strong. They also have breakfast, lunch and dinner options. Its nice to see a family owned business doing well in a city that is quickly becoming a chainstore paradise.

What a fantastic discovery! We have enjoyed several delicious berry scones there. On our first trip in we were also invited to sample the strawberry cheesecake - so light and creamy! We later enjoyed the classic cheesecake and a slice of apple pie for dessert with friends. Well definitely be back! They make pancakes there too and though there are only a couple of tables well be back for breakfast one day.

Best bakery in the area by far. Ive lived here 4 years and when Sweet Life came into the neighborhood it was a game changer. The baked goods are mouth watering and the authentic Mexican food is just as good. The atmosphere is warm and friendly. Check out the pictures- they speak for themselves!

My girlfriend and I recently ordered a meal along with a large strawberry smoothie. We finished the meal, and ordered four more smoothies, one for each person in the apartment.

This is my favorite restaurant in the neighborhood. Always polite. Excellent food and great prices. Much more than just a bakery. Coffee is superb, so are the entrees.
