First off, waitress gives us the wrong specials. I order off of them and then she returns to say they are not available. No big deal, mistakes happen. We order an appetizer, never comes no acknowledgment of appetizer order. Our entrees come 40 min later still with no mention of why are apps never arrived. Food was ok, but not worth $30 a person. Waiting for a drink order and busser comes and asks, takes order but never actually fills it. Waitress comes at the end of our meal finally fills our drink order 5 minutes before we our done. Charged $9 for a drink I never got to enjoy. Waitress checked in once right before check. New to area and looking for new places to enjoy, a fellow person in hospitality disappointed.

Been going here for a while. Staff is always friendly and the food is always great. They have amazing gigantic margaritas, their guacamole is delicious and Id recommend their chimichangas as an entree. Sometimes they have a mariachi band that sings and comes around to certain tables which is nice-- theyre not overbearing. The only downfall is the seating sometimes. Two times I have been on a weekend night for dinner and both times I was sat at a bad table and once by the kitchen where platters were just about flying past my head-- no bueno. Its like they put as many tables as they can fit no matter where they are placed and its kind of awkward or too close to another table.

This used to be the VERY best restaurant. Nothing quite like it. However over the past year it has progressively declined. I did not want to write a bad review because for so many years all I could do is rave about it, however I am just sooo disappointed in my last 2 visits. The drinks too strong and nowhere near as consistent or good as they used to be.The service nowhere near as warm and welcoming as previous years. And this past visit the waitress told me they no longer have their house dressing for the salad and brought balsamic instead. Slight I know, but disappointing in that the charm has worn off. I hope they get it together, there was hands down NO PLACE BETTER.

Not a bad meal, but there are better versions of the same cuisine near by. It used to be a continental spanish restaurant, but it looks like they changed the menu to a Latin fusion concept. I saw Mexican, Columbian, and a couple of Peruvian and Argentinean dishes too. What I ordered, a scaled down Columbian Bandeja tipica, was ok. The steak wasnt cooked particularly well, but it checks off the boxes if you are in the mood for Columbian and dont want to drive to Patchogue. The highlight for me was the seafood soup. The broth was complete and spicy and a bit addictive.

Went for lunch at 2 and was given dinner menu with prices doubled. We asked for the lunch menu and received it, as did the table next to us who overheard our request and had also been given the dinner menu. They then requested and were given the lunch menu as well. I had called ahead and lunch was "until 3." Unfortunately, the salsa and guacamole were bland and undersalted and the rice i got with my entree was so salty that i could barely eat it. The male server we had was nice but the female server was rude and nasty. Disappointing.

We had been to this restaurant a few times in the past and the food was good...the service was friendly but tended to be slow..Tonight we had a horrible experience. We had a reservation for six people which apparently ment nothing.Hostess was friendly but powerless to do anything .kept telling us 20 more minutes.we had asked to speak with a manager out of frustration but they never came over.after waiting almost an hour and a half we walked out.. hungry and frustrated. The food is good but not that good.DONT GO THERE!!

Made a reservation for 7 oclock and when we got there the hostess told us there was a 20 minute wait. This wouldnt have been a problem however we waited an hour and a half and still werent seated. No one came over to us to apologize for the wait or even cared we were there. It was obvious our reservation didnt even matter. Dont go to this place if you want to eat sometime in this century....

Have been coming here for the last several years. I have to agree that the previous servers were more personable, friendly and attentive. Wrong food delivered to table but it was busy and we were in no hurry. However food just as good, portions were plentiful and drinks were delicious even though it took quite a while to get them! Will continue to visit!

We eat here all the time. The food is amazing. Ive eaten at resteraunts in mexico and spain and puerto rica etc and honestly nothing beats this place. The salsa is to die for first off and the portians are so generous and the selection of food is huge and just outstanding and i dont drink but from what i see and hear they are amazing aswell.

I was surprised to find this restaurant in Miller Place. The food was really great and homey. Very good guacamole, large yummy drinks, good ceviche (I would love to see them adding a salmon ceviche to the menu one day), very good fajitas. Mariachi sing so nice! Its not the fancy type of restaurant but its authentic and delicious.

I rarely write reviews on restaurants. However, because we looked this place up on the web and ate there, I have to inform future patrons of what they are getting. This is not authentic Mexican food. Salsa is from a jar and chips are from a bag. It goes downhill from there I am afraid.

Weve been dining at Don Quijote since it opened and have ALWAYS enjoyed the experience! Great authentic cuisine, superior service and friendly atmosphere. Perhaps the disappointed poster would better serve his/her palate at Taco Bell.
