Ive eaten at alot of mexican restaurants & Id rate their food about average..about what Id expect from a mexican restaurant. Id definitely eat there again. The service was great, they were curtious & quick and even gave us a free shot of tequila at the end of the meal. The walls had hand painted village scenes, paintings of people & an assortment of other images which I kinda liked, some might consider it cheesy but I thought it gave it some character. There were 2 guitarists that would come up to each table & sing mexican tunes.. which I thought was great although they were kinda loud! Only disappointing part of dinner was the sangria. I love sangria & theirs is not worth drinking!!

As others have stated already, its over priced mexican food that is "so-so" The beans seemed watered down and sloppy & the sauce tasted like regular jar tomato sauce. Service was good when talking order but then went to nothing. Actually just paid cash to leave quicker after seeing the server had forgotten about us while watching tv. Didnt even get a have a nice day or anything as we walked out the door on our own. To add insult to injury, had to wait to pull out of the parking lot due to 5 of the kitchen staff in their white uniforms playing soccer in the parking lot out front. Not sure who owns the place, but they obviously have no control over their employees or just dont care!

Food was really god. Service was on the slow side. My wife and I each ordered an iced tea for a drink. The server suggested a pitcher. Got sticker shock when we got the bill, $12.00 for a pitcher of iced tea !!!! OVERKILL. I thought it would be 1/2 that much as iced teas usually come with free refills at most places. It was also the servers job to let us know the price ahead of time. If she told us, we would have stuck with individual glasses. I also filed a report via the CONTACT US option at the website and was not afforded the courtesy of a response from the restaurant. I guess they had NO COMMENT. Star rating is based on overall experience.

We used to visit El Bandido all the time when finances allowed. Now that we can only eat out rarely its the only place we will ever go for Cinco de Mayo!!!!! We love the food, hospitality and Mariachis!!!!!!!! The atmosphere is that of a party so dont expect quiet. Most importantly the owners have integrity and common sense. Dont worry too much about the prices because they include sooooo much. :) You can easily eat twice from one entree. Lastly, my dad who would never eat Mexican Food can enjoy the Puerco Dulce (kinda Pork Parmigan w/sweet sauce). I highly recommend you try it!!!!! Hope you enjoy it as much as our family.

Had dinner there at 5:30 on a Saturday. Place wasnt all that busy, but oh so noisy! Once the dinner crowd stated to arrive the noise level was ridiculous--and it was just general conversation. No overly raucous parties. Very difficult to hear your own conversation and lighting was horrible. Food is just so-so. Absolutely nothing to write home about. Very overpriced! Fajitas were $22.95. Soda was $2.95 for a small glass and there were no free refills. Definitely does not deserve a second visit.

We stopped by on our way through NY and what a treat! The restaurant is beautiful for there are tons of hand painted murals of different Mexican legends, the food was great, and our waiter was the best. My sister forgot her credit card and the waiter came running out to the parking lot before we drove away to give it to us. This is a great family establishment and you should definitely stop by if you are in the area!

Easily the best Mexican food around. The atmosphere and staff are great and you wont find anything else like it this side of the border. Their Margaritas are amazing too. Each meal comes with a complimentary mini cheese quesadilla, desert shot (or 43 or tequila) and dessert. Ive been going here for many years and will always refer to El Bandido as the best Authentic Mexican food around.

although prices are a little high, the food is well worth it. i live over an hour away from this place now, but will get a craving for good mexican food and ill take the 160 mile round trip just to enjoy their food. the chips and salsa are second to none! i have to get some to go everytime. my only complaint is they are so far away and i cant eat there more often.

The service here is what your paying for. The Mexican fare they offer here doesnt justify the expense. Small portions of food, common menu. I stopped here because parking lot was full as I was searching for dinner. Maybe they have a killer happy hour, I dont know. Based on the food $$$ I wouldnt add it to a list of go back restaurants.

THIS IS THE MOST EXPENSIVE MEXICAN PLACE IVE EVER BEEN TO- ESPECIALLY FOR AVERAGE FOOD. IF THEY WERE SMART THEY WOULD LOWER THEIR PRICES AS THEY COULD GET A LOT OF BUSINESS FROM THE HOSPITAL AND MEDICAL SCHOOL DOWN THE ROAD. THERE ARE A BUNCH OF CHEAPER MORE AUTHENTIC PLACES DOWNTOWN THAT ARE FAMILY OWNED IF YOU WANT MEXICAN FOOD.

Fun atmosphere and tasty food. Also, the waiter was patient helping my daughter decide what to order (she doesnt like food that is too spicy and didnt have much experience with Mexican food so he walked her through part of the menu and described the dishes). Well definitely return for the nachos and burritos.

Kids quesadilla, $9; 2 Chili rellenos with a tablespoon of watered down refried beans and a tablespoon of rice, $30; glass of soda $3; extra taco they brought by mistake (waiters doing), $6; knowing I will never go back to this raw sewage smelling, cooks hanging out in parking lot, dump...PRICELESS!!

YUCK!!!! We went on a Friday night. It was crowded (dont know why) and really loud. If the food was good I would have overlooked it. Everything was soggy, sloppy, tasteless. Not cheap either. Hacienda in Chester blows this away. Tulcingo in Monroe is also excellent.

I LOVE El Bandidos. I think they have great food, great service, and good prices. Im not a very picky eater but I know good Mexican and El Bandidos has good Mexican food. A+ They usually give you a free fried banana and shot at the end of your dinner as well :-)

Great chile rellenos, chicken poblano, and enchiladas suizas! Fast, attentive service. A great discovery.

I like it here - don not agree that it is overpriced or dirty or slow. Staff is friendly and courteous. Food is tasty, but too much unhealthy fatty stuff is given for free so if you do not want the fried banana with ice cream, speak up!

This place gives you the littlest portions possible for the price. They water down the beans. Its more Mexican-American style food, which I am not a fan of. The waiter had a tough time communicating with customers. I would not recommend.

Affordable family friendly Mexican food served by a pleasant staff. Excellent homemade salsa! They even have a Mexican troubadour at times that adds to the authenticity of the experience. Please dont be a gringo and request "La Bamba."
