The owner Mr. Tassonne seems like a nice enough guy. Unfortunately he seems to stretch the truth or possibly just flat out lie - which seems to be pretty UN-American. In the article Todds American Dispatch Mr. Tassonne was quoted as saying he works 103 hour work weeks because he had to lay off a tipped employee - which he may, but his restaurant is only open from 6 a.m.- 2 p.m. seven days a week which totals 56 hours. How do you possibly work an additional 47 hours? I understand keeping the books, schedules, ordering etc. I own several very successful businesses and I dont total half that amount per week. Could Mr. Tassonne possibly work smarter not harder? He also stated that he has an additional $21,000.00 payroll expense due to the minimum wage increase. That would work out to FOUR full time tipped servers (not counting the one he laid off) working 41.38 hours a week for EVERY week of the year. For a restaurant this size it seems to be a little excessive. Perhaps a refresher course in business management is in order instead of blaming someone else for our failures (i.e. government). Sadly however that is no longer the world we live in. I pay ALL my employees a Living Wage without complaint with the hope that this will keep them off of the welfare rolls, help them get an education etc. Of course I dont drive $60,000 cars or live in a million dollar home but I do make a comfortable living and can sleep well at night knowing I am a part of the solution - not the problem.

This place might be awesome, though probably a bit pricey considering most of us have already paid the owner when he fraudulently collected our tax dollars. Hey, anyone can be a scumbag who touts patriotism and then screws the average working tax-payer. Oh, wait... no, no most people dont do that. Most folks have integrity, though admittedly, thats a lot less funny than childish phrases on a menu. Oh, also, fun fact: taxes are lower than they were under GWB. So, perhaps Mr. & Mrs. Welfare-Fraud can sell a half-empty (like her, his and the former Presidents head) glass of water for a bundle. Good thing they took the plea or theyd have to pay more than just the 23K they stole.

Exactly what I expected ... this is a "diner" not fine dining. Reviewers critical of the food and/or service imho are just unrealistic. Service was prompt and with a smile (two actually) as soon as I walked in the door; servers were attentive and outgoing; had several good conversations. Food was hot and timely (again, for a diner) and of quality I expected (again, its a diner). As a Libertarian I loves the ambiance also ... Way-out-there Liberals will not enjoy the look and vibe here ... my 2 cent opinion (soon to be taxed I bet)

About service: nice and friendly, when we go for breakfast we go to relax and chill, I dont like quick service and rush! This place provided what we needed. Comments are awesome!!!! LOVED IT!!! Great diner to eat breakfast at. The servers are attentive and they truly try to get to know the customers. The food is hot and fresh. Egg white omelets are awesome because they use real egg whites and not processed egg whites. The coffee is hot and tastes smooth not bitter. The only room for improvement is the wait time for breakfast. When you go at peak times you can spend close to 30-45 minutes waiting for your food. This does not deter us from going there; we ensure we leave enough time for breakfast.

I had no idea what I was waking into. This small crowded place is a filled with political propaganda and racist messages, while promoting religious values. Its not very welcoming. I just want diner food. I dont need the ramblings of some right wing gun nut. The server was nice, but the food took forever. We were only offered a refill on coffee once. We were there for over an hour, just for diner food. The actual food was mediocre. Nothing horrible, but nothing great. The prices are very reasonable.

The menu claims they serve knowledge, but the walls are plastered with racist and antipatriotic depictions of President Obama, they call him a dictator on the menu for no apparent reason, and the decor speaks of murdering people for minor crimes while incouraging you to pray. I got no knowledge at all, just a heaping serving of intolerant propaganda. The food was good, the prices were okay, and the service was subpar.

Food is good and reasonably priced, service is great. Political messages on the walls provided a welcome environment in a liberal stronghold like Syracuse. Nice to feel welcome and comfortable somewhere. In a city where the hospitals wont even offer the most popular Cable News Channel in the country - Fox News - for viewing in patient rooms, it takes guts to run a diner and not hide your views. God Bless the owner.

I would come for breakfast and/or lunch every weekend while attending school locally. I would not go anywhere else. The family atmosphere and the food are second to none. While conservative beliefs are the standard, the primary concern of this location is that the customer comes first and that no one should leave unsatisfied. I can think of no other establishment I would rather support.

Nothing about this place is any reason to return, and now, reading into the reviews, turns out owner stole over $20,000 in fraudulent welfare claims from taxpayers. The place as a whole doesnt deserve one star, and the owner doesnt work for his customers, seems to expect people to choose to patronize him for his views, rather than putting a good meal on a plate.

I went here on a daily basis while I was doing move-in renovations on our house. The service is good, and the foods consistently even better. I love the fretta, but not the politics. Super-friendly, orderly, clean, and brimming with character. This place seems destined for continued success, and perhaps notoriety.

Great diner food with daily specials. Conservative diner with local and national news playing regularly. Very hospitable staff, offers service members discounts and law enforcement discounts. Definitely a place you want to visit if you are in the area for a good cheap meal!

Great breakfast, especially the Gianelli sausage! Cute little spot, and friendly staff! The only complaint would be that the prices (for breakfast) were more along restaurant prices, instead of diner prices. Didnt try lunch there yet, but would definitely give it a try!

This place was fantastic. After going to a Trump rally I hadnt quite had enough bullshit but luckily this place has plenty to feed all of New York! With hypocrisy and welfare fraud for dessert! Fun for the whole family... Unless youre black, Mexican or Muslim

Who wants to eat in a place surrounded by nuts carrying guns? typical upstate redneck conservatism, turned up to an 11. Go check out the menu and see if its actually worth spending your hard earned money to support these lunatics.
