Had breakfast there with my grandkids. The food was fresh tasty and plentiful. I was amazed at the portions. I ordered a crabcake breakfast with eggs, homefries and toast. I could not eat the entire crabcake because it was so big and had *very little* filler. I could not believe the price. Try that here in New York for what we got. The staff were friendly, accommodating and humble. I saw some bad reviews here. Well everyone has as off day. Not with me. I will definitely be back!

The place was clean and the service was ok until I sent the order back, then the waitress got an attitude. I refuse to pay for food I cant eat so I returned it. The the fried sea food platter I ordered was the worst Ive ever had. It was tasteless, no seasoning, and the crab cake was mostly filler. The turnip greens were overcooked and the baked potato burned. The tossed salad was the best thing about the meal. I ate the veggies and paid for them. I will NEVER go back there again!

The food was good but the service was terrible! Our waitress waited on people she knew before anyone else. We waited 15 minutes to even get a cup of coffee. People came, ate and left before we even got our breakfast which was luke warm, so it had been sitting. People at the next table from us ( who came in after us) apologized as they left. The hostess did give us $5 off the bill but our time was worth more than that! Avoid thus spot if you dont have a few hours to kill!

Stopped in for dinner this Mothers day and my wife had a meat loaf dinner that she said didnt taste quite right so the waitress asked her what she would like instead and she said chicken, the waitress said OK, then the manager or someone came from the back and stood over our table and said that my wife was wrong and that they did not have any chicken he was very rood and nasty about the whole thing, if you want a good meal keep driving.

Service was very friendly and fast, hardly waited at all before our meal arrived. I cant figure out the negative reviews here, because for the amount of food, and the quality of the food, this place has no rival. Eat at McDonalds if price is a concern and quality doesnt matter to you. Oh, and by the time youre done ordering your "super sized" meal, youve spent almost the same amount.

My partner and I went to Sage Dinner for Breakfast today, 3/6/16. The waitress, young woman, wasnt really warm, but tolerable at first. She took my order, and the eggs were good, but the home fries where horrible. I ordered sausage with my meal and she never brought it. My partner couldnt eat his food. We wished we never stop there on our way to VA.Beach.

My dad and I are regulars here and we live the food. The wait staff are warm and welcoming always. Often the owner will come iver and greet us and he always has a smile. The food is always delicious, hot, and fresh. It is my pleasure and honor to recommend The Sage Diner in Only, Virginia to everyone. Enjoy and God bless you all!

Have eatin all over this country. This was the best!! Sunday nite and then Watchapreaque said no, no, 1/2 hour before closing. We went to Sage and ordered and got everything we wanted and all of it was totally delicious. Wait staff was wonderful. Thanks Heather. Going back soon !!!!! Nummy !!!!!!!

Great service and food was actually pretty good! Chip beef and eggs for breakfast that I had not had since I was a child, ham & cheese omelette hash browns toast coffee. Price not bad either $. Thanks for being on route 13.

Visit this eatery every year on the trip down to OBX then on the trip back. It is a nice place, clean and friendly. Food has always been good and very reasonably priced. Loved the Chicken & Dumplings !

Delicious! Moved out to ES from midwest...and it reminds me of my favourite resturaunt back home. Absolutely love there cream of crab and meditranian wrap! Great environment and awesome staff!
