I usually dont write reviews but I had a horrible experience and I want to share it since I cant get in touch with management. I used to go there all the time. I started realizing the more I went the worse service Id received. Last time, I ordered a platter of food on Christmas for my guests and they completely messed up my order. First off I dont eat pork and they gave me pork after I specifically stated that I do not eat pork. Then they messed up my sides. I called an complained and they said to come in we will fix it. On the phone the man admitted they made a mistake and asked meto come pick up my food. When I drove to get the food they asked me for the food back first. I explaimed that I dont have it and that I called before I wasnt told to bring it back. The guy who works there (GEORGE) started yelling at me insisting I go back home and come back due to their mistake. This guy george literally was yelling at me like we were on the streets. When I asked for the manager he claimed that hes the supervisor and refused to give me the managers name. That was the last straw for me. The people are unprofessional and there are too many other options out there. That guy george needs to go. Perhaps a class in prpfessionalism. This used to be my go to place for soul food. Thank God I found Magic Soul food plus is closer to home. So in a way thank you for screwing up.

for the place, it was cold tge whole time we were there, and we told the waiter, but he only agreed, but didnt seem to make any effort to fix it. for the food, the ribs were overcooked and undesirable. we also. tried the beef brisket, but it was terrible also, it tasted like something I could get at Arbys, which isnt good either. the only good food we had was the chicken witch was deeeelicious and so was the macaroni and cheese, but The potato salad tasted like it was out of the container and the greens were mixed with turnip greens which gave them a bitter taste. The brownie Sunday was yuck and unpalatable, and tasted like they heated it up in the microwave, because after a few minutes the brownie got hard and chewy, it was so bad I couldnt eat it and sent it back. others then the Sundays there was no other deserts ready, and lucky we checked are bill because he was going to charge us for it to. i will not eat here again.

I just moved to the neighborhood and decided to give this place a try. It lookd great, but looks are deceiving. The food was terrible and the service was terrible. I ordered the catfish and the fish was not fresh at all. It was mushy and the protein was breaking down in the fish, because it was old. My bun was cold and my food came before my drinks. When I told the waitress about my fish not being fresh she immediately told me she could not comp my meal (when I did not even ask). What kind of response was that? She told me to just order another one or I would just lose my money. The second one seemed to be fresh but I had already lost my appetite and could not eat it. My brothers burger was mediocre at best and had an off putting after taste. We both left hungry, disappointed and it was a waste of money. Hopefully one day they can get the food and service to match the exterior appearance.

A REAL bar-b-que spot right in the heart of Jamaica, Queens! Ive dined here several times and always found the food and the service to be excellent. Their menu has plenty of options, including several appetizers. Every entrees Ive tried has been very good. The brisket (I highly recommend it!) is literally fork tender, juicy and has excellent flavor. Theres fried fish, bbq chicken, shrimp and of course ribs (both beef and pork). The numerous side dishes are homemade styled and quite good. This is a nice restaurant for a family gathering, local dinner or just a quick lunch. The servers are always friendly and the prices are reasonable. The only negative here is that the portion size of their sides is a bit on the small size. The parking can be tight, but there is a small lot in the back of the restaurant. I highly recommend Smoke BBQ Pit!

CHECK YOUR ORDER BEFORE LEAVING - I use their take out service - After checking my order (for the main dishes), I found they had given me pork ribs when I ordered beef ribs; and, they gave me a BBQ chicken sandwich when I ordered a pulled pork sandwich. Although they corrected the order, when I got home I realized they did not include the peach cobbler that I paid for. Now everybody makes mistakes; however, when I called to talk with the manager, I was told by (SEAN-who answered the phone) that the manager instructed him to tell me to call back later, because it was too busy for him to talk with me now. I just spent $75 dollars at their establishment and the manager didnt have time to talk with me. - As far as I am concerned - that is unacceptable.

simply amazing, really nice to see a place like this in the area. I came here with four of my friends, the place was packed, the service was excellent and the BBQ wings were to die for. Extra crispy and tasty, probally the best wings I have ever had. We decided to get the full feast which was a great idea recommended to us by our waiter. It came with a full slab of ribs, whole chicken and one pound of pulled pork along with 4 sides corn on the cob and cornbread all for under 50$. Really cant give enough praise to this place great portions, great food, you really need to try the peach cobbler for dessert definitley worth giving this place a try, I will be back in the near future and will continue to recommend this place to family and friends.

Ordered the BBQ pulled chicken "platter" .... What I got was anything but .... and for the money being charged, I was very disappointed. It shouldve been closer to $9-$11, not almost $16. The presentation was poor. Plated in a small round container the chicken was dry. Even though it had BBQ sauce. It was overly warmed. It wasnt very appetizing. My sides of collards and macn cheese werent anything special. Maybe if I werent so uncomfortable by the touchy feely advances being made and coxing to return during the week for cocktails by Nate the front person/bartender I wouldve noticed how small the portions were. My boyfriend and I were skeptical and now know for certain .... We will not eat from here again.

Place has no security. Sit at the bar at your own risk! Had to call the police on a drunken male patron, who literally cursed me out! I did nothing to provoke this undesirable person! Management could not control him nor did they ask him to leave. I had to call the police after the man verbally threatened to call his sisters to the place to "WHOOP MY ASS!" At that point, the man ran out of the place! I will not be coming back to this place again period! Management needa to hire security to keep their patrons safe. Especially their female patrons!
