This is the best Asian cuisine in the area. We tried it at first because the name was so straight forward and silly and we wanted to see just how wonderful it really was. Well, wonderful is an understatement. The staff is great and friendly. Come twice and they will remember you and treat you like family, ready to bring you your usual drinks as if you were a regular. Take a break and come back months later and its the same. The sushi is very well made with fresh ingredients and large portions. I find it difficult to order anything besides the katsu curry or the bibimbap because both are delicious. The ten don is another must try. Even the plain white rice is tasty. Do yourself a favor and order the salad with your meal so you can try the dressing.

Love, love, love this restaurant! Its my "go to" place for Sushi, in the area and Sushi is my favorite type of cuisine, and I can be fairly picky. Service is always friendly and timely, food is always amazing. Its small, so its most often quaint and quiet, but can be expectedly busy on weekend evenings or holidays, so a reservation is prudent for groups. Environment is comfortable and rolls, bento boxes, general sushi and saki selections are delicious. The price point is expected for good Sushi. I would recommend this place to anyone and everyone!

3.5 as I will give it 0.5 for extra plating and service points... Good service really, very on point. Food is only average but it looks very good in photos because they plate them very well... thats the primary reason I went. The ramen I had with pork was a little too old and chewy, soup was okay at least its not too salty but was a tad bland without broth flavor. Pricey for the quality. Sushi rice really break-easy and sashimi was only average. Cant justify for the rating. But I saw bibimbap was good tho.

Love the food & the staff! I wasnt sure about this place because of the name. After hearing great reviews we had to check it out. We lived in Japan for 8 years and since being back in this area we have looked for a restaurant that could measure up and this place does! We have never had to wait long for a table. I would recommend you give them a shot.

Their food is on point! Their rolls are made to order and are the best Ive ever had (including the 4 years I spent in Korea and Japan). The entrees were cooked with extreme care and WOW... Very good. The ambience is extremely inviting and the staff treats you like family. My #1 place in Hampton Roads for Asian cuisine.

Cant go wrong with the chicken katsu curry! The deep fried gyoza are amazing. Definitely up to par with food right in japan itself. I havent tried the korean dishes yet but I have high hopes for those too. Also the server was able to explain the differences with the types of sake they had to offer.
