Ive been to many diners throughout NY and NJ. As diners go, most of them seem to be the same as far as the variety of food. The cheeseburger deluxe, the open face sandwich, the all day breakfast, which is always one of the best reasons for the existence of diners. But some places obviously do it better than others, Paradise Diner in Hauppauge, NY is one of the better ones. From their Grilled Chicken Panini, I actually prefer the Paradise Panini because of the addition of the roasted red peppers, which makes any sandwich that much tastier, to the Chicken Portobello saute over pasta. What comes through is the flavor, the consistency of the dishes, the pleasant way youre greeted when you walk through the door and something that a lot of diners dont do, change their menu from time to time. Changes in the menu is just a good way to prevent you from getting bored with the food selection. This place always has a nice variety of good choices. Bottom line is the service is good, the place is clean and the desserts are very good. Im not sure what the other reviewer had, but maybe the bad dessert they had was one they left in the car for a couple of days after a drunken stupor. Hopefully, they werent driving. These guys care about their business because it comes through in the food. Consistently good and reasonable prices. A good diner is always a good reason to bypass the franchise restaurant. Diners are uniquely North East and when you not in this area, you find yourself missing them. Eating, real good local food at a good Greek diner is always a good choice, especially at Paradise. Went here with two of my friends. At first our waitress brought me someone elses food. Then when my friend and I ordered a second round of drinks and she came to tell us that they were on their way, she got my friends drink order wrong, and said, "I already put in a different drink. Its too late now." As if it was anyones fault but her own. Then later, she took my friends food away before she was even finished eating it. When the three of us were done eating and ready to pay, we did so up front. It was obvious with our methods of payment in hand that we were going to split the bill in three. The woman up front looked at the three of us confused. Then when my friend gave her cash to put on the bill first, it seemed like she was annoyed. When we asked to split the rest on two different cards she freaked out and literally yelled, "Now you screwed me! I cant do that! You screwed me! I can only put it on one card now!" It wasnt that big of a deal for her to react the way that she did. She could have told up simply and at a human tone that she could not do that but no, she yelled at us. Definitely not going back to this ludicrous diner.

I came here with my parents last week for a late breakfast... This diner resembles others as far as its ambiance. However, I did not like that most of the booths had duct tape on the seats. I ordered the challah French toast after my moms suggestion.... Breakfast is one of my favorite meals so I was very excited to try it. Much to my dismay it wasnt at all worth trying. There was absolutely no flavor....I could have definitely made this at home and it would have been twenty times better.... The turkey bacon and eggs with cheese were ok tho I wont be returning to this place...

we went to dinner there on wednesday night and was greeted very nice at the door by a man who sat us in a booth by the windows. the waitress came over very fast and introduced herself told us the specials and took our drink order, we ordered prime rib that was great and my wife had paradise salmon that was wrapped in a dough also very tasty. the diner has good food and fast service we really enjoyed our dining experience ,they won us over as steady customers

I went for Dinner to have corned beef and cabbage tonight! The atmosphere was not very clean with dirty dishes and glasses. The food quality was poor. To top off the night we had dessert to go. When we got home to eat it, the apple turnover was molded and soggy on the bottom. Will not choose this diner again. They need to have better wait service as well.

I came here with my family Sunday afternoon for the very first time . The place is nice and cozy and the staff has excellent customer service ! The food was delicious and they had very good size portions ! The penne pasta was to die for ! I definitely recommend this place to whoever is looking for a nice diner ! We will be visiting again !

My hamburger was over cooked and when I sent it back they made me another one which was served to me raw. The Cheese cake was dry and the sugar free lemon cake tasted like mud. I actually spit the food out. The manager/owner never came to the table to apologize or offer us anything off bill or discount. Horrible food. Stay away!!!!

I just got back from the Paradise Diner, took my wife and two kids, I saw the huge banner out front saying $9.99 Dinner menu, Ill tell ya...what a selection ! Worth every penny...and probably more ! Service was great, I really have never had any complaints at all. (And their desserts have always been fresh !)

The food was impeccable but apart from that, in of the staff members which was a Caucasian woman was very rude an stressed very racist tactics. She asked my friend for a tip an told her if the food was good than why didnt she leave more money . just very nasty an hateful wont ever go there again.

From the second we went in to the diner, we were treated great...the hostess and waitress were both great and friendly. The food and atmosphere were top quality for a very competitive diner industry...loved it and will be back again! Ask for Annette as your server, shes excellent!

My husband and I had breakfast and it was not good. The home fries tasted like they were old and were cooking on a dirty grill. The eggs were over cooked. We also sat there for over 15 minutes and no one approach us. We had to ask for help. We will not be going back.

I went there in september this year. The food i ordered was extremely delicious! Loved it! and the people who worked there are very friendly. I would recommend everyone to go there, I am sure you will fall in love with there food! I cant wait to go there again.
