Oriens is a local fixture in Greece, NY featuring fresh deli and regional Italian food. The highlight is their in-house, home-made gelato. Good staff and decent eats for the value. They also feature a Tuesday Dance Hall theme where you can reserve a table outside, dine and listen to a DJ sing favorites from across several eras. People dance and enjoy while those who dont eat are welcome to pull up lawn chairs outside the dining area and listen from there. The people here love to dance and will gathered here until there was close to 50-75 people eating, talking and doing their best jitterbug! Fun!

Authentic Italian food that is delicious- especially the wide selection of desserts. The Sette Velli cake is a must-try- creamy with chocolate and hazelnuts that just melt in your mouth! And dont get me started on the gelatto!! Its amazing in variety and taste! You will easily find one to love with a great selection of fruity, chocolatey, nutty, minty, cheescakey flavors...also great for takeout!!! This cafe has a quaint atmosphere and is worth every penny you spend!

While buying 65$ worth of subs the woman who cashed me out was clearly and expressively angry at my apparent nerve to order such a quantity of food at a restaurant - an establishment designed to serve food. I tried to be as nice and understanding that it was busy and that i put in a large order at a tough time, but I felt disrespected and far from comfortable with the customer service. Wont be going there again.

The best tripe in all of Rochester. I go in often for the tripe. The baked goods are to die for and the gelato. All is made right on the premises. Youve got to try it. I recently had very bad tripe. It was like it was all they had. It was hard and rubbery. Then to have such a small portion it wasnt worth the $10. Then the bread omg 1inch by 1 inch. I gulp and gone. Sad

Just stopped here on the way home from the park for some Gelato. I got cookies and cream, and my girls got cherry and chocolate mint. The interior of this cafe is pretty awesome and is really enhanced by their pastry and Gelato display cases. I will have to stop back in here for dinner some time. It looks like their menu has a mix of casual and Italian food.

Amazing gelato, so many favors and they will let you try one before deciding. Their dessert are out of this world! And it is ALL made from scratch by an Italian studied Pastry Chef, even the gelato! I havent tried the food but friends have said it is equally as good! The owner is usually on premises and is so sweet, as are his employees

While you CAN go to Oriens for their arancini or sandwiches, their coffee drink selections, or their jam-packed dessert cases... you have to try their 24 flavors of gelato (made on premises). Ask for a taste and then get a cup - you can mix flavors if you cant decide on only one. Sette velli and dark chocolate and my favorites!

I came here only based on gelato reviews since that was what I was after--- everyone, the gelato was/is amazing! I scarfed mine down in no time and ended up getting a pint to go. I tried a few flavors, and everyone of them were delicious. I definitely plan on coming back here in the future.

A favorite for my family and my young kids. The food is outstanding, from soups to authentic dishes. Gelato made right there. Great variety of dishes, desserts and bar. Lovely quaint atmosphere, it takes me back to Italy. There are patio tables for eating outside also.

We ordered a gelato cake less than 24 hrs. before we needed it and we were pleasantly surprised that they would have it ready. Our guests gave many compliments on how delicious the cake was. Thank you for both great taste and a quick response!!

So delicious! So many gourmet goodies and big selection of gelato. They have non-dairy gelato, even chocolate! Very friendly. You will be delighted. Higher price than I would prefer, but an excellent occasional treat if you are picky like me.

I am an opera singer. I have traveled around Europe, and across the United States. This has to be the best and most authentic gelato outside of Italy. Even gelato in Little Italy isnt as good as this. Bravo Oriens Cafe!

This place offers the best Italian cookies Ive ever had. Comfortable dining area. Great menu for light fare. We ate there and brought a small tray of cookies home... it lasted 1 day!
