We went on the second day of opening where the seafood is supposed to be 60% off. As the old sayin goes, if its too good to be true, it aint. When we showed up at 8pm, we were told that there will be a 1.5+ hr wait for a party six. We waited at the subway across the street since there was no seating anywhere at the bar left. According to the menu then, the prices of the king crabs legs was $28.99/lb. (I only noticed this b/c it was what I wanted to order.) When we were finally seated, the price went up to $33.49. Seriously?! I didnt know crab prices were so volatile. When I pointed this out, the hostess told us that its b/c they had old menus floating around. At the door?! Really? So its one price at the door to bait me, then switch me once Im seated. But the kids were starving at this point so we let it be. Then the waitress came to take our order.. except, she only took it from half of the table - she didnt get the other family in our partys drinks and appetizer order in at all. To add to the fun - one side out of two of the menu was not available and the one side we can order from which consisted mainly of sides and steamed seafood.. well, they were out of five out of the 12 items, including the king crabs I was about to order. Oh, another few fun facts: 1. youll need a tixx to order king crab and lobster. The formula seems to be one ticket per adult. 2. You have to order your own steamed seafood in the kitchen counter, pay cash and pick it up yourself. 3. Plastic forks, index card size plates for the snow crab legs were the only utensils provided other than thin one size fits gigantic hands only gloves. It took us three tries to get water to the table. After ordering and picking up our own food. The waitress finally came back to take the second part of the appetizer order (after some prodding). Youd think all is well. Nope. The waitress messed up their appetizer order. The owners supposed favorite thing on the menu, the chicken wings, was stupid salty. Made to sell water to dehydrated travelers in the dessert salty. We were also told that they will not accept credit cards for the drinks and appetizer order today after being told when we ordered that they would... So not going back there.

Far different from advertised photos. Definitely not what we expected, which was a decent seafood restaurantrestaurant, definitely not a bar with make shift seating. Dr. Sea is basically a dive bar failing miserably at trying to serve food. The service, while pleasant, doesnt appear to have much experience in the restaurant business. Always apologizing while not really delivering. This place may score highly by a group of drunk frat boys, but not by the likes of most local families looking to score a dinner out. Plastic forks and tiny paper plates will make up your dinnerware and utensils. Ordered king crab and they tried to serve us snow crab. Loud music droning on while the volume of the TVs blasted away in concert, almost as if they were competing to be heard over jukebox. To top it off, the owner said he couldnt get our Groupon to work and asked me to call them to cancel the Groupon. Seems shady to me like they are utilizing the traffic that Groupon is driving to them, but skipping out on the commissions they would normally pay Groupon. Save yourself the hassle and avoid Dr. Sea. Im sorry but I dont expect many people to really enjoy an experience at Dr. Sea, unless they are already very drunk, very hungry, and have a lot of extra cash to burn.

utterly disgusting atmosphere. customers are ALWAYS on their rudest behavior. Every time I am here (not even exaggerating) there is a bar fight among some hooligans that dont know how to mind there own manners and business. Do not come here especially if you value your friends, you will have the crappiest and most regretful time of your life. People will lurk behind the bar and stalk you home im not joking, I felt very unsafe. and its located next door to the most unreliable hospitals of new york to add. avoid at all costs!

My boyfriend and I came here to watch a football game and eat dinner. It was a fine experience. The food is good bar food, nothing great. Our waitress was friendly and provided good service. The place is a bit depressing though and the crowd was a bit raucous. And I get it, youre gonna say, well you went during a football game? Correct, but they werent even loud about the football game. They were shouting and yelling about their private lives, who theyre dating, who they went to school with, etc. I wont be coming back here.

Dim sum is great. People complain about the service, its dim sum. You are not going to get "white glove service". Its a crap shoot whether you get a friendly server. Now with that being said, the dim sum here is actually pretty good and cheap." Bueno, Bonito, Barato!" I think translated In Spanish means, good, nice and cheap. Yes sir! it is the 3Bs. If you want to have some delicious dim sum, come here, if you crave 5 star service, go to a nice steak house.

Came in on a groupon. Definitely not what we expected. This place its not for dinner. Its a bar... you can have some beers and some shrimps and or some clams. We ordered the Salmon and the filet mignon with the shrimp. Shrimps good, clams good, salmon dish no good... salad was old. I give it 3 stars because I see myself going back but not for dinner, I will go back for a few beers and some cajun shrimp or clams to hang out. Not kid friendly....

Was there on their fifth day after opening, the atmosphere is good, I love the cocktail there, it fits ladys! Love it! The seafood was 30% off, it taste pretty good, would be better if there is more flavor can be chose. The server told they will have more flavor coming out, so I will come again to try the new favors. Cocktail is highly recommended!!
