My son recommended Tavern 23 so I met him and a few friends there. Out of the way place you hardly notice it from the road. Interior is has kind of a rough hewn look and was clean. Mostly local patrons. We ordered hot dogs, pork shank, wings and nachoss! All were great and the pork shank was especially good. Prices were reasonable. Ill stop back again!

Where should I begin - first off the greeting was Non- existing one . ,2nd a bill was placed in front of us for $48.23 which we had no knowledge of . We always pay our tabs here and the way that they did this was very rude . In front of all paying patrons with a napkin labled Big guy + older guy !

Nice, warm atmosphere, good rotating selection of beers on tap, and great food. Definitely a hidden gem in the City of Poughkeepsie. The crowd varies from college students, to young professionals, to older generations.

Been here a few times for drinks. Beer cold, no complaints heard about the drinks. Cozy home town atmosphere with a clean and nicely decorated bar. Only gave 4 stars because Ive never had the food.
