I moved here a few years ago and almost all the recommendations I received from locals about restaurants were very disappointing. I think the bar has been set pretty low in the greater Binghamton area when it comes to food and customer service. That being said, Consols has been a big hit with my wife and I. All of the dishes we have tried have met or exceeded our expectations and the service has been very good. If your dining in, the ambience is not the best. The dining area is loud and overly crowded but that is just to accommodate the long line of diners. They opened a new restaurant in Vestal which provides a better ambience with the same great food and service (minus a few of the original menu items). The pizza (traditional and grilled) is excellent. For dessert, try the chocolate cake.

Watch your step! watch your step! watch your step! you will hear this a thousand times if you eat in, and depending on where you sit. If you order pizza for take out, they will not put it in a box.. very very odd.. they will wrap it in paper.. leaving it exposed.. to get cold in the car.. and your obnoxious tip jar at the take out counter ought to go.. do not expect a tip if I am picking up the pizza... spending money on gas, etc.. Obnoxious. Yes, your pizza is pretty good, though.. Wish you would give more for the money, though I do understand that times are tough.. Also, your gnochi is amazing.. So, overall pretty good.. Any constructive comments on my comment? thank you.

Besides the fact that they dont give a pizza box....the pizza smells a lot like vomit. I am not exaggerating, its most likely the tomatoes but its very similar in aroma to vomit. If you are hungry enough to get over the awful smell, the pizza is mediocre at best. It very thin crust italian style pizza with lots of oil. The pizza only comes in one size (A papa johns large) for $9. As of this writing I have tried most of the pizzas in Endicott and only Mama Giuseppas makes a 7/10. Consol is a 4/10 because the smell destroys the appetite. Nicks was 5/10 and the the customer service was very rude.

Typical Binghamton Italian... bland, boring, average portions, fairly affordable, still havent discovered pizza boxes, though its decent... the boxes work really well to keep a pizza warm and not ice cold by the time youre home..... The paper isnt original its just stupid... Take your pick. Michaelangelos might be the best bet if you dont dig Little Venice sauce (alot of people dont). Cortese is way overpriced, Buds place is like eating a tasteless nutrient paste.... Does anyone know what Basil or Oregano are in the Binghamton area??

Known for their grilled pizzas, homemade pasta and classic italian food. salads composed of actual greens. Grilled pizza deserves its reputation. Seafood was actually good, desserts were tasty... Tiramisu is best choice, chocolate cake is the runner up unless you are a chocoholic. Cannoli was good but Romas on Nanticoke have the best cannolis in the area. Prices were quite reasonable. Service was great, and it was pretty busy on a Sunday. Decor is a bit dated but clean. Feels like what it is; a family owned restaraunt.

This is the best pizza in town. We visit from FL every year and this is our first stop each time. Dinners are well planned and very reasonable. Staff is friendly and quick to please. A crowded restaurant is a good sign. Yea, you may have to wait a bit but it is worth it. I would much rather visit a busy place where you know the food is fresh and not left over like a restaurant that is not well attended. Perfect evening out.

Home made spaghetti was a plus.... regular sauce... tasted like plain tomato paste....no meat. Rigatoni with Vodka sauce was filling....large portion. Have had better Italian than this. Service was quick. Atmosphere reminds me of restaurants back in the 50s. We are in Little Italy...will try some place else next time.

Incredible cuisine! Catered our wedding with Manicotti, Chix marsala, meatballs sausage and roasted veggies. The delivery was on time, the food was packaged well and hot. Our guests loved the food! Quite reasonable too. Highly recommend for catered events! Thanks Consols.

Both the pizza and pasta dishes are excellent and prices are very reasonable as well. The only problem is that it can get so busy the service suffers and you end up waiting a long time for drink refills or the check - a few more waiters would certainly help.

Delicious authentic Italian food in the heart of Little Italy, wonderful atmosphere, and great customer service! Ive eaten here for years and am authentically Italian/Sicilian, and have never had a bad experience! Would absolutely recommend!!

Fantastic pasta! My wife and I love visiting Consols when we are in town. My favorite is chicken parmesan and homemade spaghetti. My wife loves most items including their beans and greens. Dessert must try the chocolate cake!!

Excellent food, ok atmosphere, overall one of my favorite places to eat. Isnt the most charming place in the world, but it has a certain charm in its own unique way. Worth the stop for sure.

Great pizza and traditional Italian dishes. Fast service, but can be crowded and noisy. Expect a wait for a table Friday - Sunday. Small bar with friendly bartenders. Inexpensive.

Prices are OK, the building is a bit old, the location is a bit far out, but worst of all, the pizza here was one of the worst that I had ever eaten

The food was delicious. I do think the inside and outside of the building could use some modernizing, but otherwise this is a great little spot.

Real pizza; thin crusted and homemade. The food of an italian grandmothers table. So good.
