I love coming here to eat especially because theyre fast and they have a parking lot (which is a plus) but i was so annoyed on Monday when i went to eat for breakfast here. Honestly ive seen this happen at my own job where they see "kids" walk in and they dont give them a good service because the waiter automatically thinks they wont get tipped because theyre kids. And i know thats what the waiter thought of me and my boyfriend on Monday. He was so rude he took our order and after he brought it we asked for hot sauce and he seemed to be annoyed that we even asked him for it. After that he never came back to our table. I started getting really annoyed when 2 older couples sat in the booth behind us and the same waiter that attended us was SUPER NICE with them he asked if they needed anything he laughed them up and refilled their coffees at least 3 times (meanwhile i never even got one refill). Honestly im a really good tipper i enjoy doing it because ive how stressful it can be as a waiter sometimes but its really rude to give someone bad service because you think the person wont tip good. Unfortunately we had to live up to his expectation and left a mediocre tip but only because our service wasnt as great as other times. We will be coming back because like i said i really do love that place. I just hope we dont get that waiter again.

We were staying at a hotel near LGA so decided to look up a local restaurant. Found Buccaneer, which came highly recommended. When we arrived, the restaurant was hotter than an oven. The service was non-existent. When we placed our order, he did not ask clarifying questions, so that should have been my first clue. When the food came out close to 20 mins later, now I only ordered a BLT, the order was wrong. The sandwich was on whole wheat toast, I prefer white. And no where on the menu does it state what bread it comes on, let alone bread options. Secondly, it was just the sandwich, no side item. I thought it would atleast come with fries. Then while eating we needed refills on our drinks and had to hunt down and get the attention of the server to get them. This also applied to getting the check to be able to leave. Then the biggest surprise, for a plain BLT and a burger the total was $25. The one slice of cheese I ordered for my BLT was almost half the price of the sandwich itself. Then we were charged for the refills, now this was fountain soda, not bottles or cans. I would avoid this place if you can, the food quality was fine, nothing spectacular..... but certainly not for the price you pay....

I cannot in good conscious recommend this restaurant. I went here once in 2013 and once in 2014, both times with other people. I will never go back to this place. Both times the experience ended badly. July 4th of 2013 I had their Pizza Burger, which I thought was a total failure, but I used my debit card and was charged one figure in person, and $7.65 more on my bank statement. I was not happy. I called them and spoke to a manager twice and they said I had to come there to get the money back. I dont live in Queens, nor do I have a car right now so this was out of my way. Therefore, I didnt go back until yesterday when someone wanted to meet me there. To their credit I did get my money back, but before that happened I finished my meal and the other people left, but I went to the rest room because of my greasy hands. I was gone 5 minutes. I came back and my stuff was no one longer there. I was not happy. To their credit the gentleman said he thought I left and tried to chase me down, but they didnt check the bathroom, which was closer. Please dont go here. The food isnt that great anyway.

This diner is the worst Ever!!! Dont order from here, They pick and choose the days and hours when they are going to deliver. They lady who answers the phone with an accent is so rude and unprofessional and needs to learn english! I live close by and there have been times I call to order that their excuse is "We only have 1 guy delivering and he is on a bike so he cant go far", "We are not delivering right now" (anytime I call or any day I call). How unprofessional to know youre a diner and not prepared as far as a delivery guy! If the weather is where you know people are going to stay in and order, they should be prepared! I guess they like to lose money instead of making it! And when they do finally decide to deliver, they take forever and get the order wrong or forget something!

The staff at Buccaneer Diner are not the friendliest, but the breakfast was good. Now, theres 1 thing Thats troubling. On the menu, theres a list is Exotic Coffees, Jamaican coffee being one of them. I was excited when I saw it because Ive had Blue Mountain Jamaican coffee a very long time ago, and loved it, so I ordered it. When I got the coffee, it had whip cream on the top, which I liked, it was strong, which I liked, but it had a taste I couldnt figure out. I had my friend taste it, just to realize the coffee had alcohol in it. No where on the menu did it say the Jamaican coffee had alcohol in it. I think the Buccaneer Diner should be responsible enough to let the customers know that the Jamaican coffee or maybe all the "Exotic Coffees" have alcohol in them.

Have been patronizing the Buccaneers for years. Love the food. Generous portions and affordable. Diner is rarely crowded. Service, on the other hand, is a foreign concept. Last time, I got a cup of coffee from the Cashier as I sat down. Waitress # 1 disappeared after she took my order. Somebody else brought my food. Nobody came and asked me if I needed anything. Had to ask Bus Boy for coffee refill. Finally was able to bother another (mildly annoyed) Waitress to get my milk AFTER I was finished with my meal. If it werent for the great tasting, affordable food and location, I would have dropped them a long time ago. The issue, as it appears to me, is poor oversight/management of the wait staff.

I have eaten at this restaurant several times. One thing for sure, is that the quality of food and service are not consistent. I have gone here and the food and service is wonderful. Then I went with my friend and her two sons, ugh. It was horrible. The kids ordered steak, which came out almost raw, They requested medium. The soups have been good. The sandwiches have been good but not all the time. There is a large menu to choose from. There is a big turnover of staff. There is plenty of free parking in the private lot. The salads have been good. The pastries and coffee are food. They have a fully stocked bar, as well as beers and wine.
