Best pizza ive had in a long time, love the new renovation also. Beautiful bar and party room. As a former pizza man it upsets me to see some of these negative comments about the staff. These people have obviously never had to work 12-13 hr days 50-60 hr work weeks and deal with the public. They may keep your slice in the oven for a minute or two if the pie recently came out to insure it doesnt blacken the bottom. It is a 500 degree oven after all, lets see how you would do for a minute or 2 on a 500 degree stone. If youve ever been in a busy pizzeria you know it can be a hectic place. Typically becasue the food and service is good. ( or else why would so many people be there) . Orders come in and go out as soon as humanly possible. Ive been in spuntions plenty of times to witness the controlled chaos, the guys behind the counter sweating and running around, bumping into each other and burning themselves just so you can have your pizza. I would love to see "gregory" or "jody" get their butts behind that counter and see how good they can do. PS , I understand you cant please everyone, however you really must have no life if you hop on your computer to complain about pizza. What a world we live in ..GET A LIFE PEOPLE!!!

Fantastic, Personal and Great Prices! Weve now been going there for a good 10 years and we have never been disappointed. We bring our four kids and theyve practically grown up on the place, getting pizza or chicken fingers (filet, well prepared and fresh. Fried lightly). My wife and I are always trying something new, even trying things we wouldnt usually try, like pasta with gorgonzola cheese. WOW! Some of the best pasta dishes Ive ver tasted. The Fried Calamari is a staple for us, as an appetizer and the garlic bread served at the table is delicious; and plentiful. A very nice wine selection served by some of the best waiter staff weve exer experienced. The bartender is so incredibly personable we sometimes go without the kids so we can eat at the bar. The owners remember you, come visit with you and are always attending to the guests. Just a great place where you know youll leave full with some money left in your wallet. I highly recommend Spuntinos ~ now in St. James too. Different atmosphere, very pretty, but just as awesome!

Should a went else where..We had a horrible dinner at this place one night..we were celebrating my husbands birthday along with my kids & friends..we order appetizers, salads & few entrees..we ordered clams that were so hard to chew along with sand which hurt my teeth..the calamari were so hard to chew on..we complained about them & the lady owner just had to say, " everything is fresh here, so I dont what you are talking about" she was so obnochious B _ _ _ _..that was a big turnoff for us..so then the dinner came out..that was not that great..the birthday boy ordered chicken marsala which he complained about too..the chick smellled not fresh * chewy also..there were other small things too but too long too talk about..the night turned out to be horrible with the food & the service esp the lady owner who did absolutely nothing about it..Its sad they charge a lot & then they give you this disgusting cheap food.....Will never ever go back & I will share this also with my family & friends..This place was a nightmare.:>(.

Quite honestly hate to write a negative review but enough is enough! Ive tried this place a handful of times because everyone talks about it but everytime I go sOmething else is wrong. I understand mistakes can happen but everytime? This last time we ordered a few slices & chicken parm. The pizza was ok... Although the crust was a little burnt but the chicken was really bad. The prices are high but the worst part are the guys who work behind the counter are so rude! They are NOT friendly and when we were sitting in the booth across from the register, we watched them make fun of each customer that they served. I'm done with these losers! You can keep your spuntinos... I'm moving on!

This solid pizzeria has one problem: the people behind the counter. Spuntino gets backed up with phone orders on a regular basis, often lying to customers about wait times. On more than one occasion I was told a simple pizza would be 15 minutes.. and then once I got there to pick it up, was told that again.. THREE TIMES. After fighting with the manager and demanding my order, I walked out hotter than the pie that just came out of the oven. What they do is have you pay for the order and THEN tell you the pizza will be up soon. Dont fall for it; ask them if its ready first. It likely wont be and you can leave and go to a real pizzeria. Or better yet, just dont go to Spuntino.

rude staff, & cold under seasoned food... We came in for pizza. The two guys behind the counter rushed us even though we were the only ones in there. The couple in the booth next to us had their food brought over. . When our food was ready the guy yelled across the room, "YOUR UP". He forgot part of our food and when we realized he tried to charge us twice. The counter guys were very arrogant like serving us was bothering them. They looked as if they were hanging out, not working. The food was luke warm at best. The side of marinara was STRAIGHT out of the can. No salt, pepper, etc. I will not be coming back

This is one of the worst pizzerias on Long Island. The food tastes awful and is almost always cold. They keep your slice in the oven for a minute or two in order to take your money and quickly move on to the next customer. Never get a marinara slice; worst thing Ive ever tasted in my life!!!! If there could be anything worse than the pizza, its the staff; rudest people Ive met in a long time

One of the best pizzas on long island. I come visit from Boston and my first trip is to spuntino for pizza and dix hills bagels for classic NY style bagels (best in the world) and they are both in the same shopping center! Owner or manager of the spuntinos is usually there when Im picking up and he always remembers me and asks how Boston is, makes you feel like family and always welcome!

A friend introduced us to this place last week. Weve been back 4 times this week for late lunches/early dinners. I find the food tasty and well prepared. Ive tried the chicken francese, the veal picatta, the marinated chicken cutlets and a number of pasta dishes. So far, nothing to complain about. I particularly like the focaccia strips they serve with the bread basket.

I took my wife here for our first Valentines Day 6 years ago; we havent stopped coming since. The food, the staff and the company has always been great. When you eat here, you enter an environment where family and wholesomeness become more than words. Spuntino is highly recommended to all who want to have great food, great service, and a great time.
