Worst, blandest pizza Ive ever had!!!! First time ever to New York, I was in the area for business and was hoping to get some good New York style pizza. I was at the restaurant during normal dinner hours. The pizza slices on display looked like they had been there all day, were dried out and not appealing. I understand that the slices have to be warmed up so I took that into account and tried some anyway. Honestly, there werent many options...I think six different pies were on the counter. Both slices that I had were bland and completely lacked any flavor at all. I was SOOOOO disappointed, being that I know there is good pizza in New York...just NOT THERE!! I will give them one thing though, the restaurant had a nice modern atmosphere (not what I was looking for but ehh...to each their own) The counter service was quick, not polite, but quick. The seating was nice, common booths and tables. I wouldnt go there if youre looking for good or authentic though, since modern pop music isnt what I consider authentic Italian. Very disappointing overall!!!

I WENT TO LASCALA YESTERDAY AND WAS VERY DISAPPOINTED WITH MY EXPERIENCE. IV BEEN GOING THERE FOR THE PAST 25 YRS AND THE PIZZA AND FOOD HAVE ALWAYS BEEN TOP NOTCH UNTIL LAST NIGHT. I ORDERED THE CHICKEN MARSALA AND IT WAS DROWNING WITH SAUCE LIKE I WAS EATING SOUP, THE MOZZARELLA ENCROZZA WAS ALSO DROWNING WITH SAUCE I COULDNT EVEN SEE THE BREAD. AND THEN FOR 18.00 DOLLARS I ONLY GOT 2 SMALL PIECES OF EGGPLANT THEN I ORDERED THE RIGATONI WITH MEAT SAUCE AND THEY ONLY PUT A LITTLE MEAT SAUCE ON THE PASTA AND IT WAS VERY DRY, AND THE ITALIAN BREAD THAT COMES WITH IT WAS LIKE EATING RUBBER AND THE SALAD WAS VERY SMALL AND PATHETIC,THEY MUST HAVE HIRED A NEW COOK BECUZ FOR 25 YRS I HAVE ALWAYS BEEN VERY HAPPY WITH THE FOOD AND LATELY ITS BEEN BAD. I WONT BE BACK THERE ANY TIME SOON UNLESS THEY FIRE THE COOK AND HIRE SOMEONE NEW.

My family and I frequent la Scala on a regular basis, and tonight might be the last night I ever order from them again. I had called in 15 minutes earlier to put in a pick up order, and on arrival, was ignored and obviously unattended. When questioned they made a show of checking a stack of boxes, listing the names aloud, but unfortunately nothing for Sophia. 10 minutes and a couple of rude questions about my ethnic origin later, they happened to discover my order sitting on top of another oven the entire time. They handed me the half dozen spinach garlic knots they claimed to haven been the reason for the delay, only to find out later that they had packaged the original half dozen knots in the box already. Very disappointed with their service.

La Scalas pizza is very good but the rude associates cause me to NEVER go there again. I am extreme pizza lover and had to go there at least once a week but every time I went I felt as if I was not getting the same friendly treatment as other customers. One day I went to La scalas for some garlic knots but I was very picky as to the ones I wanted which I feel I have the right to be since I am the customer, the associate working that day was very rude and instead of giving me the knots I wanted gave me very burnt small garlic knots. Because of this and a few other situations I refuse to go there. There pizza is amazing but I will take my business some where that respects their customers.

This place was amazing! I was only in town for 2 days in September 2012, and I ate here twice! One night I had fettucine alfredo in the beautiful dining room with their amazing buttery garlic knots, and the next day at lunch I had their fantastic pizza. And more buttery garlic knots--I swear I could make a meal of them. Service was friendly and quick for both visits. The only way they could improve is if they delivered to Louisiana! I think it says a lot about their food that Im still thinking about it seven months later. :)

We frequent La Scala 3-4 times a month. We dined there over the weekend and off the special list they had Broccoli Rabe and Sausage Ravioli with Balsamic reduction. We suggested a white cream sauce for our dish and the chef agreed! It had to be the best dish we ever had at LaScala. This dish with the white cream sauce should be a staple on the regular menu.. Please consider!!

Its hard to be an Italian restaurant so close to Emilios, but this place has pretty good food. Definitely order off of the specials menu. Stay away from the stuffed clams. We couldnt find the clams! :( The restaurant is a little noisy and our waitress was a little annoying. But, overall its a nice place for a casual Italian meal.

Was liking the place but our last takeout order was disappointing. Two pizzas shouldnt cost $39. We ordered a veggie pizza and were charged $23.95 which is the price for a pizza with the works. All it had on it was a lot of broccoli and some onions. And the pizza wasnt that great. I guess its hit or miss with this place.

I ordered lasagna to go and waited 30 minutes after being told 10 to 15. When i got it back to the hotel room I found that no plastic-ware or napkins were included and the lasagna was not hot, full of water and almost all cheese. In their defense, the pizza looked good but I didnt try it.

I have been here many times and have never been disappointed with the food or service. The place is always busy (a good sign) so be sure t get there early to avoid a wait. They also have a takeout counter where you can get pizza or anything else. On some nights they also have live music.

Best plain slice on Long Island. Also, the pasta is delicious when Im not just stopping by for takeout. Sicilian is nothing to write home about, but for anything triangular, skip Emilios and come here. If La Scala started serving thin bar pies, Id have no reason to ever go to Emilios again.

I like the food in the dining room very much but I find the pizza quite disappointing. I had a slice tonight after work and before a meeting. I ordered a mushroom slice and it was covered with canned mushrooms, which is disappointing especially since they have real mushrooms.

Living in Commack for 20 years and no pizza place comes close when it comes to their round pies. Consistently excellent. Same people working there forever for the most part. There is a Marios pizza across the street and still this place is always very busy.

The sauces are amazing! The food is always fresh. Dishes are laden with flavor. The staff are knowledgeable about the menu and they are super friendly..I wish they were in Huntington! I dont say that about a lot of restaurants....

Great food, good atmosphere, reasonable prices, huge portions. The place has been remodeled since my last visit opening up the dining area and adding a bar. One of the best classic Italian restaurants in the area.
