My original review from 5/15, posted on Yelp: In a region full of small diners, Broken Yolk is hands down the best Ive had. Quick service, eggcellent, diverse menu, and friendly servers make this restaurant worth it even on the busiest of mornings. Try their signature dish, the Broken Yolk, or the José Benny (chorizo patties and poached eggs on English muffins, topped with sour cream and salsa verde). They also have great specials, like their Crumb Cake french toast (just like it sounds - crumb cake dunked in egg batter and toasted on the griddle, topped with streusel and blueberries). If youre like me, you prefer the homemade restaurants to the big chains that make Buffalo unique. This place hits the spot for a breakfast date or a family. Youll be in and out and completely satisfied whether you have a sweet or savory tooth, the Broken Yolk has it all! Updated review from 5/16, posted on Yelp: Man, this place has gotten popular! Im glad to see that this business is doing very well, and the service and quality of food hasnt changed a bit in the year since my last review. With new specials every month, theres no lack of interesting new menu items. We have taken to going here weekly for our breakfast date, and have settled on a few favorites: the Broken Yolk (their signature dish), the Lumberjack Waffle, and their Caramel Banana waffle. Were certainly not the only regulars, either! I see two or three every time were there. If youre going on a weekend morning, be sure to include some extra time because it can get very busy, even with their fast, efficient, and most importantly, accurate service.

Went there today on a limb to try out there food! Ordered "the poked yolk" which I strongly recommend! Ordered it for a takeout, I called ahead. They gave me an estimate of 10-15 minutes showed up in 10 and it was ready. Very impressed with the prompt timing of the food, very pleased with the service and attitude of the staff serving! The meal tasted great no complaints. Strongly recommend this place, I for one will be going back in the future!

Abolutely Spectacular. The menu is massive with a fantastic variety. Adorable building and space is utilized so so well. The portions ate huge for the price and I cant say enough about this place. The Poked Yolk after one visit has lodged itself in my heart and made my top 5 list for places to eat in NY. The staff were beyond perfect and honestly this has been one of the experience I have ever had.

Its a small family run (in appearance) restaurant. The staff was super friendly and helpful. My sons pancakes were to die for, they were awesome. My wife had and omelet and said it was good. I had the crabcake benedict, and it just didnt work. It was made perfectly but for me the combination was just odd. I wanted to try it and Im glad I did, but it wasnt for me. Always very crowded!

We knew it was a good sign when we found it crowded on a snowy Saturday morning. Despite the crowd, the wait was not long at all. My 2 sons and I ordered pancakes (almost bigger than the plate!), the country benny and a spicy omelette. All the food was excellent and the service was prompt and very friendly! They even make their own jam. Highly recommend!

I went here yesterday and had a fantastic, Mexican version of eggs Benedict. We also got an order of cinnamon roll pancakes which were also awesome. The wait staff was very nice and for not having reservations on Mothers Day, we were seated fairly quickly. There were a lot of things on the menu that looked great and I would absolutely go back.

Been here twice now, both times had to wait for a table, which is always a good sign. Both times it was worth the wait, great food, great friendly service and clean. The portions are generous and you shouldnt leave hungry. My only suggestion would be to refill the coffee a bit more often. Other than that, no complaints at all..

I like this place. Its a good go to breakfast spot. Its actually the only place I go to anymore since my husband found it a few months ago. Good.food and the customer service is great. Everyone that you see or that answers the phone is friendly and polite.

The food is good, a bit pricey for what youre getting. The wait is terrible. They expect this business yet have made no accomodations,I feel this easily kisses a star. As good as the good was, I wont be back unless they expand. Its not worth an hour wait.

This place was amazing! Great food and everyone was so friendly. My waitress name was Kelsey. She was phenomenal. Made sure my coffee was always warm and checked in twice outside of coffee to make sure I was okay. Wonderful! Found my new breakfast spot.

The first two times we were here, we couldnt get enough. This time, staff was still great. Service was still great.... But until my son and I switched plates, we were underwhelmed by the food. Will definitely return, Im sure it was just me.

If you Like breakfast foods, this place so just for you! Make sure you give at least 30 minutes for a wait on the weekends because it does get crowded! But the wait is well worth it. The entire staff is absolutely out of this world kind.

The food is delicious, the portion sizes are very generous, and the staff couldnt be nicer. Monthly specials are creative and provide nice additions to the regular menu. The Poked Yolk has become our favorite breakfast spot.

Ordered the lumberjack waffle. Im not a huge breakfast person, so its hard to impress me with breakfast foods...but let me tell you, this blew me away! This was outrageously delicious. Will probably be eating there regularly!

Delicious Food & good size portions. Went on Thursday morning at 10:30am & we still had to wait 15 minutes for a table - you know its good when its always crowded! Give yourself time.
