Ive been a frequent patron of PLG since year 1, back when it was still called "Gratitude Cafe" - in fact, its still in my speed dial as such! Its one of the only healthy options in the neighborhood. Organic ingredients, locally made bread, all put together in-shop and to order. And the best part? Everything tastes amazing! The menu is great for adults and kids and if they have the ingredients, theyll make you whatever you want too. The decor is hip and clean, almost "hipster" according to several of my friends who I constantly take here. I did used to enjoy the kids play area that they had before they built the bar, my son loved coming to hang out there while we waited for the food on a busy day; now that the spot is much smaller and harder to get to, we usually just call ahead and take it to go - PLG is so popular, its nearly impossible to get a table on the weekends (not a problem if you dont mind taking to go, which I dont). My only complaint is that theyre too nice to the people who park at a table with their laptop for the entire day - theres limited space as it is, and these people take a full table to play on their computers while ordering nothing more than a coffee. Throw a time limit on them, or at least make them order something first!

Great spot. Has cute little outdoor seating for when its nice out. Sometimes you find "healthy eateries" that arent really that healthy at all... But this place is truly built with integrity. They try to use as much organic ingredients as possible, a lot of ingredients are locally sourced and support other makers/artisans in the area and their dairy comes from a farm in upstate NY! They also have gluten free bread option [at no extra cost] thats actually pretty yummy. They also have almond milk option for vegan drinks. Nice array of food options but would love to see some more vegetarian sandwich options !

Considering the neighborhood this place is in, I was exited to try it once my roommate told me about it. The look of the place is cool and hipster friendly. They definitely dont seem to have the staff to handle the line that was almost out the door when we were there. It took almost 20 minutes for me to get by egg sandwich. The sandwich was kinda small but good. Considering that and the small cold brew coffee cost about 10 bucks Id say it wasnt worth it though. I may try it again at some point when its not so busy.

This place is absolutely lovely and charming. The decor is in congruence with its refreshing name "Gratitude Cafe" (GC). Beyond the atmosphere, the food is also delicious. When I go, I usually order one of their juices and the tuna fish sandwich dish. SO YUMMY! GC is so bustling and popular that I take off one star for lack of seating. It seems like I can never find somewhere to plop down and relax as I dine.

A true community coffee shop, run by a local family that lives in the neighborhood. They started with a Kickstarter campaign that was very well supported by everyone around (back in 2014 we were all desperate for a place with good coffee --- now there are lots of options). They have smoothies, good WiFi, free newspapers and magazines, and even a little play area with toys for kids. Perfect!

Great food. Okay coffee. They raised their prices and are now too expensive for my taste. Its always a bit crowded and they are very loud people or invasive people. Not the greatest place to work on your laptop, if thats what youre looking for. But a good spot to catch up with a friend and chill in their outdoor seating area.

I love this little coffee shop. It is probably one of my favorites in Brooklyn so far. There is a great ambiance, they let you work (computers allowed), the drinks are great and so is the food. I am not a huge sandwich fan but everything Ive had here so far, Ive really enjoyed. Definitely a place to regurlary come back to.

Good food and drinks, (seems like they have a focus on sustainable food) good friendly service too. Would probably be a nice cafe to hang out at for a while during the week; weekends not so much as its a small space and gets pretty crowded. Family friendly too, theyve got a little play station for kids.

The owners sponsored a crafts fair this holiday season, didnt charge vendors to be there, and gave us donuts and mulled wine while we were there. Wonderful people, very community-oriented, and their establishment is lovely. Quality coffee, solid food, and decent beer & wine selection. Highly recommend.

Great BEC sandwiches and a homey community atmosphere, plus delicious coffee and the NY Times every morning! My only warning is to bring headphones and blinders if youre trying to get work done. Animated conversations and adorable but loud kids are the norm here.

The food is so fresh and delicious. Their menu is creative. The atmosphere is inviting. Great little sidewalk eating area. Having draft beer is a bonus. The owners are always there and are super friendly! This is the way a business should be run!

This place is fantastic. Really great food and coffee at an affordable price. I didnt try any lunch options, but I bet theyre good. The egg sandwiches in particular are just excellent. Pay cash if you can because its a small establishment.

Atmosphere is cozy, food is great, people are friendly, and they serve beer, wine, and coffee! Seating can be a bit difficult to find because its so small, but you cant go wrong with their food!

Love this place, quite music good for one or two people groups. However, had to minus a star due to hours changing and closing at 5pm instead of 10pm. Loved coming after class/work.

Unwelcoming condescending staffs. The food and coffee was ok though, but not as much to offset negative vibe I had. I have no plan to going back there again.
