My friend raved about this spot so I decided to order the chicken tikka masala, a rich creamy red decadent Indian signature I LOVE but to really test their culinary depth I ordered theeeee(drum roll please) LACHA PARATHA! I said over the phone, " you know the 1000 layer flatbread cause I hate naan bread". The man taking my order says, "I dont know about a 1000 layers but therell be few". I felt a little risky and called back to throw in a "saag"to my order, a delectable spinach purée punctuated with cumin seeds, spices stewed right down to rich thick green goodness. Alas! My door bell rang after 45 mins. I handed $+tip , snatched the bag & dashed to my dining table. WWWWWELL !!! Dare I say, I opened the paratha first and to my great dismay , a flat, very flat chewy looking fail stared back at me. Still, I tore it and took a bite. I like a stiff chew which is why I swallowed it. The chicken tikka masala was a good color, they got away with a very fetching flavor profile which makes up for the lack of distinct spiced creaminess along with the white meat chicken cubes escaped with passing grade tenderness which I appreciated. The saag? Nothing near a Saag whatsoever! But, I love spinach and so I still ate a few spoons of the sautéed healthiness set before me. The pickles & pompodums were pleasant. All in all if you are craving Indian its nice & pleasant enough to lick your cravings but not deep enough to reach your soul. But thats only my meek opinion of course! LoL @spiceisnicewithdenine

They would have gotten 5 stars but heres why they received 3. Food is great tasting, especially the chicken tikka masala. Great flavor. Mango lassi could have been a little less thick but it was super delicious. Overall, good food. Heres where things fail: their customer service. The delivery guys are super incredibly rude and extremely impatient. Can you give me time to get out the door to the elevator or stairs? How do you call me ONE MINUTE/60 seconds after? I would say thank you and none would respond. Not even an "ok". One even told me he has other deliveries and Im holding up business. If I am holding up business, then what exactly are YOU doing wrong. Its way too expensive to be that nasty. I may or may not buy from them again and would gladly spread the word. Get it together.

My roommate and my go-to takeout place in the neighborhood. We always pick up - the men who work there are very friendly and accommodating. The Chicken Tikka Masala is always velvety and creamy. Nice chunks of white chicken. Plenty of food for one person. They give a whole container of jasmine rice with each dish. My friend always gets Chicken Korma and is incredibly happy every time. The vegetable samosas are delicious as is the naan (if you are looking for a fun splurge, go for the garlic naan). We are boring orderers so I cant tell you much else, but for the consistent quality of the food, the price is right (I always find Indian to be expensive but we get so excited every time we order from here). Go forth and get takeout.

Went in on an impulse a few months ago after exhausting myself at the Planet Fitness up the block. Im very glad I went in. I did check the Google Map ratings before going in and the 4.7 star rating helped to prompt me to go in though the place was empty an an early Saturday afternoon. Im glad I didnt let the solitary setting deter me from a mouth watering and very satisfactory meal. Above that was the great conversation I had with the manager, server, maitred, receptionist, etc... all wrapped into one person who basically catered to me and kept me entertained. In short, the 5 stars are for service, food quality, freshness, great flavors and fair price. Ill be back.

YUM!! How did I not know this place delivers all the way to Windsor Terrace? I have tried my share of Indian delivery cuisine, believe you me and Im making my second order in 24 hours. Yes, its been a comfort food sort of week. The Chicken Saag was here in less than 30 minutes, and it was some of the most delicate, flavorful, delicious Saag Ive had. Looking forward to trying other menu options. The rice was a wee bit dry and the sauce was a wee bit oily, but thats being super critical. OH and really reasonable prices!! So happy to have found this place, and hoping it will be consistent.

I searched all over the internet for a good Indian restaurant near my neighborhood and every review I found told me that there was no good Indian food in Brooklyn. Those reviewers must have not come over to the "ghetto" side of Prospect Park. King of Tandoor is the best Indian food Ive ever had - if not the best Indian restaurant in Brooklyn. The service was great, the location was clean and had nice ambiance - much more than I expected from this neighborhood. Oh, and the prices were extremely reasonable - dinner for two cost about $30 + tip. A+++++

Food was okay I enjoy the lamb biriyani. I place one order, was enough for two people, could have enjoyed more lamb. The guy at the cashier register of all places, was very rude to me. I place an order at 10p, recieve my food at 10 15p. As I precede to eat my take out order, he literally yells at me and tells me that they are close!! I told him its not 1030 yet, reluntantly he lets me stay. Past this place dozen of times, decided to give it a shot, I will never eat there again.

This place is so great. The deals are well priced, especially for a Indian cuisine in Brooklyn. Its a very cozy restaurant and the aura inside is very welcoming. Staff is very polite and friendly as well, and the place overal is attractive. Love the artworks from India there especially the Taj Mahal. Food is well cooked and do recommend this to anyone who is in the area or would like a deliverY! My mom love their food. Shes the reason I ordered from this place.

We had a family dinner to celebrate Mothers Day and we decided to take a chance on King of Tandoor. We did not regret it and everyone was extremely satisfied with the food and the service (the waiter was extremely thoughtful). We had the naan, Kurma, malai kofta, curry lamb, etc... everything was great. They even had Mango ice cream! We used to travel to Jackson Heights, Queens for Indian cuisine but not anymore! Another A+ for food, service, AND pricing!

One of my favourite Indian restaurants in Brooklyn; friendly staff, excellent Paneer Makhni and Samosa, good chutneys and lassis, generally good variety on their menu. Decor is lightly fancy; dress "casual but nice". They offer delivery too, but its often a bit slow and the food isnt always warm when it arrives; better to eat in.
