David Chen restaurant has a very varied menu; the food was good, but not great. We arrived about an hour before closing and the restaurant was rather empty. It was also clear that our waiter had been looking forward to getting out early, so we didnt exactly feel welcomed. My partner chose a curry dish and I had a Thai dish. The menu does have a lot of choices, but that may mean theyre not especially good at any of them. At any rate, the curry dish was fine, but I thought the Thai dish was ok, but not any better than that. One visit may not be sufficient to fully judge a restaurant, so its slightly unfair, but based on this visit, Id try another place before choosing to go back here.

Not sure how this place is in business. 10 years ago the food was decent. Now the food is full of oil and far from authentic. Last time I ordered beef with noodles, chicken with snow peas and everything was served partially cold or rubbery. Even the server was trying to kick us out early even though we were one of three parties there on a Friday evening. Only reason it gets 2 stars instead of 1 is because the lunch specials tend to be alright if you like Americanized fast food (general tso, lo mein, fried rice)

Owner David and Susan hostess are awesome and super friendly. Consistant food at the most reasonable prices ($6.95 for lunch chicken w/broccoli, soup or soda and choice of fried, brown, white). Downstairs area w/large tv for kids. Some of the best sesame chicken around. Traditional chinese, will cook to your liking (less oil etc.), just ask. One of our families *standard* places to go to dine in or take out.

David Chen probably seems antique to young foodies: from the fried noodles and hot tea brought to the table to the abundance of takeout style entrees. Get past the midcentury atmosphere and enjoy the careful preparation of the food, crispy fried tofu, perfectly cooked celery in the Kung Po chicken. Keep away from the chefs specials and youll end up with an remarkably reasonable bill.

A real Chinese restaurant. They asked if I wanted dark or white meat for my General Tsos Chicken. This is great as the fancy people in the area can get their white meat, and authentic Asian cuisine lovers can get their dark meat. Food is great. Did have a problem once out of (20+ times) with a waiter.

Ordered Chicken with snow peas (white sauce). Very bland. There was no white sauce on my order, unlesswhite sauce means water. Ordered with a large group take out, so didnt see the food until it arrived. Very poor quality. No flavor.

The prices are reasonable and the excellent quality of the food hard to beat. My favorite dish is General Tsos seafood. There are ample portions of shrimp scallops lobster and crab meat. An amazing value and deliciously prepared

The food was great and the prices very reasonable, but the ambiance left much to be desired. It felt old and run down, like you missed its glory days. Staff had absolutely no affect. Not a single smile the entire time.

The atmosphere is better than the food, but it is a great place to go with the kids. They have a whole downstairs area where the kids can run around without disturbing the other patrons.

Best Chinese food ever. Large portions and I love getting my strawberry candy when I do takeout. Great restaurant for little kids with downstairs room and fish tanks.
