In short: similar experience to Molly Nichols ... I was excited for my first visit & I was prepared to write a great review after hearing wonderful things about the food, but my experience was far from great and I will likely not be back again. Actually, this may be the most neglect I have ever experienced after ordering :( In long form: For a table of two we were given a 15 minute wait even though there were tables available, but I understand some businesses do this if they are short wait staff, so that once you are seated you get the best attention and quick service. After being seated it took nearly 7 minutes for a waitress to greet us. We promptly ordered drinks & food at the same time as we had already been there nearly 30 minutes and knew what we wanted. Drinks were served quickly & correctly, and the waitress said our orders were in. Great! Im now excited for a great dining experience. After a slightly longer than expected wait our food, our food came out and it looked awesome, but that was the extent of our service. When I needed a side plate I had to ask the hostess since my waitress was not to be found. I would have appreciated a re-fill on my empty water glass and the opportunity to order a beverage to go with my meal, but my waitress ever came back. I even put my empty glass towards the end of the table hoping someone, anyone, would notice, but nothing, and even waving my hand when our waitress went by another table one away resulted in nothing. It was as if I was a ghost from Christmas past. I was waiting for a tv show host to pop out and tell me I was being pranked. Seriously! I felt invisible :( My guest enjoyed a lovely rib-eye, it was delicious & perfect, while I was served the alfredo dish which was missing the chicken breast. I thought maybe I read the menu wrong, but the online menu version confirmed it. I would have brought this to my waitresses attention if she ever came back, but decided against flagging down the hostess again and waiting even longer for the remainder of my meal. I was hungry and it still tasted good, but disappointed that it was not prepared as stated in the menu. As I watched other tables come & go while I was still waiting for a waitress to come by and ask anything, "Do you need anything else", "Was your steak prepared the way you like", "Would you like a refill", "Can I interest you in a dessert", "Would you like your check", anything, I couldnt help but be in awe with how neglected we were despite both my guest & I attempting to wave down the waitress multiple times with no results. We spent $45 for 2 people, and would have spent more if we were ever attended to. After I finished my water I planned to order a mule after seeing one go by and my guest would have had another beer. Likely we would have shared a dessert too, but were never given the chance. Instead, after finishing dinner, I ended up getting a to-go container for my improperly prepared leftovers. I then thought maybe if my "now visibly frustrated self" left the table, leaving my mild guest on their mobile device with the to-go box and empty stacked plates, someone would notice that we needed our check, but when I returned, still nothing. I then put on my jacket, entered my calories on my phone and still no one. I made one last attempt to flag down the waitress and again, its as if I was invisible to my waitress. This time however, another server noticed me; I go up to her and explain that no one has stopped by even once since we received our food & was wondering if somehow we had done something wrong to deserve such horrible service. Then finally the waitress drops off the bill, quickly takes my credit card, thanks us for stopping in, and races off. I know everyone is dealing with something, so my mind often wanders off to what is this person going through that they are so distracted from doing their job! Whatever it is, I hope they know any job worth being done is worth being done well, and work done well will be rewarded! Ask my favorite, over-tipped waitress Katie at Olive Garden.

You know you are walking into a little town when there is only one place open past 10pm and twice the waitress had to come back because they were out of whatever we just ordered. The place was half empty but service took forever and a half, which almost made me not want to leave a tip. The food was ok, but then again, its a pub so we are not going there for its fine cuisine. Maybe get better at either hiring more people or just not taking over half an hour to bring over a burger and fries... But to be fair to them, they took this long because they were making sure the chicken they were bringing was turned into a piece of charcoal...

Went there a couple of weeks ago and had a wonderful meal. Portions were huge and everyone was satisfied. Went back this week and ordered wings. Ordered half hot/half cajun. when the waitress brought the order I could barely tell the difference between he two. The hot, were not and the cajun barely had any hint of cajun spice at all. The wings had an over all funny taste to them and the blue chesse was extremely runny like it was cut with something to thin it out. Was very disappointed. Hopefully this was just a rare occurrence because I want you to do well and Akron needs this place. It was terrible to see that building sit empty

Went to the ale house with a group of friends and loved it! Skipped appetizers but wasnt too upset because everything was good portions and delicious!. 2 friends split a buffalo chicken pizza and they really liked it, me and my girlfriend had burgers. Loved the sweet and spicy goat cheese burger, whoever thought of goat cheese on a burger knows whats up! Had a bunch of great sounding sandwiches and burgers on the menu, cant wait to try them.

Weve eaten here several times. Food is amazing but service has gotten worse every time weve gone. This last time, we waited 40 min for a table when there were several empty ones in dining area. Food took forever and waitress was nonexistent. Very disappointed, will probably just keep this place as a take out choice!

Great little hidden gem! Delicious steak and wines (and of course, ale) all at a good price. Lovely little wood setting, nice country location, and friendly people. Stop at the Genesee Abbey nearby for prayer and meditation while youre in the neighborhood.

Been working in akron for a few weeks now. This is the place to go for a good meal, both the Hangover amd Bruchetta burgers are some of the best Ive ever had. Good atmosphere and friendly staff, cant go wrong.

Enter had a bad meal. Occasionally all restaurants run out of food at the end of a night. Some people have unrealistic expectations. Great atmosphere and friendly employees make it a great experience.

Got to say the Ale House has been slipping. They came out swinging when they first opened, but are falling short lately. Not impressed with my last visit, not at all. Wont be back anytime soon.
