My daughter and I ordered the salmon special. There was SO MUCH food for $12.95. We could not finish it. They give you soup AND salad. The beef barley was delicious. The cream of chicken was OK. I ordered Greek dressing for my salad, and it even included Feta Cheese -- not just Greek dressing. And the olives were fresh, not canned. I thought the grilled salmon was delicious. I ordered the fried eggplant and coleslaw as a side and my daughter had broccoli and green beans. The green beans were over cooked, but the broccoli was fine. The eggplant was a little greasy, but tasted great with marinara sauce. They even brought free cinnamon rolls, not old bread like some of the other places I go to, and there were free coffee refills, even though it was not breakfast time. We took food home before our complimentary dessert, so I called and was told I could get the free pudding or jello the next time I come. I thought our waitress was very friendly. I dont know what other people are complaining about. As far as diners go, it was an excellent value. I would go back. I was there on Sunday, Oct. 3, 2015.

So, I thought this Diner was one of the best in area but they proved me wrong today. I have never had a problem in the evening or on the weekend but the service during the day is ABSOLUTLELY THE WORST I have dealt with in a very long time. I find plastic in my food and the MANAGER thinks, "its ok, it wont hurt you." WHAT!!! Doesnt offer anything new nor does she take it away! Then my friend and I go to pay and they want me to pay for a salad that I hardly ate....SERIOUSLY! She also then tries to justfy the situation (again) by telling me that she sees other customers put hair in their food looking for a discount....SERIOULY like I would bring plastic with me to a restuarant to get a discount! Thanks for questioning my integrity and tells me, "it doesnt really matter to me when I find things in my food." What kind of business owners allows this kind of behavior (Customer Service) to go on. Im so sick of it!

Ok, Im not a picky person or demand much. It would seem GSD does a better breakfast than dinner. One of my party and I ordered the sirloin medium, it came out well. My friend sent it back, but not being very picky, I kept mind, although it was a bit dry. I think another party member sent back a dish that was served cold. The staff is friendly and accommodating, so I have no service complaint. Emily seems a sweet girl and never showed anything negative, even though I admit some of my party were difficult. LOL It was Mothers Day, the busiest dinner crowd of the year. They werent crowded at all. If that is due to their diner fare, I couldnt say. One bad meal doesnt necessarily mean a bad place. I would go back. Its not like they poisoned me or anything. LOL

I love diners, but this one, is not so great. Some of the food is way over-priced for diner food. Not only that, but maybe a diner shouldnt sell steak at all? I got a chicken salad sandwich, and I actually had to search for it between my two slices of bread. My husband liked his buff chicken sandwich, but mine was pretty bad. Not only that but the waitresses were dying to get out of there, so every time someone walked in, they sighed and rolled their eyes. A few of the waitresses sat down at the table next to us and complained about people. I shouldnt have to hear that, not only that, but dont eat your food near me and then serve in between bites. Youre supposed to be working, wash your hands!

I got the "chefs special", there were five of them. I chose the pork loin. For $13 it came with a lot if food so I was excited. Soup was great, had the cream of mushroom. Salad was fine. Then came the entree. They brought me two giant slabs of pork split by congealed stuffing. It was smothered in brown gravy that tasted too sweet and bitter. The pork sucked all the saliva out of my mouth. Gravy did little to help. My sides were lima beans and mashed potatoes. Lima beans were boiled too long with no taste to them and the mashed potatoes were bland as well. It is suppose to come with desert, but I declined it. I was done. Horrible food, I wont be back.

My family and I come here once a year, why once a year?... Because this is our pit-stop on our way home from the shore . Food is usually good, after all, it is a diner. We usually always get the hot turkey entrée with fries and its good. I went with steak and eggs and I was happy with it. The reason Im writing this review is because of our waitress that we had, Stacy. She had amazing customer service & an amazing personality, she was super down to earth and even joked around with us a little. Make sure you ask for her the next time you visit.

The food wasnt too bad, as we had breakfast there, but the staff, mainly management was quite rude and seemed to dislike us being there. We had a group of people meeting there for breakfast, before an activity, and they refused to seat us all together, even though the place was mostly empty. When we got up to talk to our scattered group, we got disciplined for not being in the right section. Overall, it was a very unpleasant experience, and I doubt our group will ever give them our business again.

Food: I ordered a bacon burger, and to be honest I could have made a better burger on my grill. At best it was mediocre, and did not taste fresh. Ambiance: it was old, dark, and was deadly quiet. At lest have a radio on or something. Service: The hostess was totally unapproachable. The waitress seemed like she was trying to be nice but just acted akward. Honestly youll just get better food at the wawa across the street.

We randomly ended up at this diner late at night after playing eeny-meeny-miney-moe with the GPS unit and driving down from North Jersey on some really random back roads. The food was awesome (gotta try the loaded cheese fries) and the prices cant be beat. Plus they have a fabulous little liquor license that definitely transcends the traditional NJ Diner Experience, taking it to the next level!

My family and friends waited over an HOUR for our food to come out. When we talked about the wait we got yelled out about how we should be happy to have "fresh food" given to us. Of course our food was not only under cooked, our friend found hair in with her french fries. Our server was nice but we will never go to this dinner again.

Have eaten here for years. The problem management is she doesnt understand customer service. If you have an issue, ask for Zack the owner. He takes care of the customers. The food is diner food. Although some dishes leave something to be desired, Over-all is ok. If anything, take some cheese cake to go. Its the best.

Food is mediocre at the best. Had meatballs that had no taste at all. The place is not too clean, flies are bothering you while you are trying to eat. The glass that was given for my husbands beer was dirty. The best part of the dinner was the dessert. The chocolate cheesecake was great!
