Patty, (previous poster) I pity you. You must be a complete and utter imbecile if you dont understand how sophomoric and bereft of common sense your post reads. ALL food servers in the restaurant industry depend on tips to survive. Read the last sentence twice (so that you understand). The law doesnt even require that the proprietor pay their wait staff minimum wage because of their reliance on tips (which theyre also taxed on). This is industry standard and would make your hamburger cost $30 if it were otherwise. I also find it interesting that "only 3 menus had the minimum 15% gratuity on large parties" displayed. Im guessing Route 66 went out of their way and spent additional money on two sets of menus so they could confuse troglodyte patrons such as yourself....for personal amusement I guess. This is also an industry standard; so much so that having to print it on a menu or have it displayed elsewhere is almost insulting to anyone with a minimum of elementary school education. Long story short: if you cant afford to tip the hardworking wait staff in a restaurant that brings you their food, then you have absolutely no business eating outside the confines of your own kitchen. Im betting you ate all your food and put on your act when you got the bill. Ive worked in restaurants before l, and unfortunately know your type all too well. Ive eaten at Route 66 every Summer for the last 8 or so years and never had a problem with their quality of food or staff. In fact, Ive always had the exact opposite experience than you. If you had a legitimate complaint it should have been addressed prior to the bill; like when you were served. Instead, you chose to get out of tipping by trying to concoct a tale of woe regarding your meal.

The food there was bad it had no taste to it and if you have 8 or more people they add $ 15.00 as tip on to your bill . they do not have that posted up where any can see it . They only have it in there menu books they did not tell us be for that we where up there for two beach jam and girl family fun day . we thoth it would be nice to go in there will a lot of people we had in are party but you only have so much money for the rest of the time you are there for your kids it is not the place to go they then told us the tips is how there people that bring you the food is what they live off so I m thinking is that they do not pay there people very week or very two weeks . They also told us that you have to pay a tip to very restaurant that you go to ! it is not a law and if you do not pay a tip in that restaurant they will call the police on you boy scouts and girls are a non prophet organizations we will let all scouts know not to go there wan the events going on in wild wood .

I asked them if they knew where I could get good seafood and they told me that they sold good seafood. I order the seafood combo which I paid 17.50 dollars for. After I paid they were very rude to me and never gave me everything that was with my order. My cocktail sauce was frozen and when I said something about it they took it back put their fingers in it literally and gave it back to me. I saw them and asked the manager for my money back because I didnt eat anything that they gave me. They only gave me half back and called the cops when I didnt even get half of my food. They were very rude and dirty. The employees touched my debit card and after that with out changing gloves stuck their dirty fingers in my cocktail sauce and expect me to eat it.

This restaurant is absolutely unbelievable. The waitresses are extremely friendly. Not to mention that the food it top notch (and not just compared to boardwalk food). The burgers are amazing. It is kept so clean that you could practically eat off the floor. Anyone who hasnt tried it should stop i, you wont be disappointed!

We had a variety of meals in our party with no complaints. Slow service during off peak hours and no refills on drinks are two major mistakes in my restaurant book. Will not visit again, but mostly due to all the other choices on the boardwalk.

This is the best place to eat on the Wildwood Boardwalk! You have to try a Galaxy Burger! Yum! The waitress will even dance for you!
