7/14/14; 4 adults and 1 child; I had the early bird Broiled Grouper, which was loaded in butter with instant mashed potatoes, Manhattan clam chowder, and ice cream. The soup tasted good, had some kick to it, but very little clam; so I believe that it was not fresh. Plus it tasted salty. The main dish was drowning in butter, which was not appealing. I chose that dish Broiled, not fried to make it somewhat healthier. Diced tomatoes and spinach (?) was on top of the fish with some lettuce on the side of the plate as garnish? Overall the dish looked un-appealing and that look delivered with the taste. I tasted the butter more than the fish. Side of mashed potatoes was instant! Needless to say that I was disappointed. My father had coconut butterfly shrimp, which was mainly the breading. He seemed hungry when we left. Mother had some lasagna which was over portioned and not hot. Wife had soup again and said it was really salty. Place was empty at 5pm on a Monday nite. Floor was sticky when walking to table. 2 out of 5 stars. Server was very nice, food was not appealing. Approx $80 for a disappointing meal. 7/16/14; 4 adults and 1 child; We ate here for dinner 2 nights ago and I wasn’t too impressed. I had some special with 2 eggs, pancakes, sausage, and bacon. No toast & no home fries. Coffee was included. Wife had scrambled eggs, Mom had 2 eggs with meat, and Dad had the same. 2 out of 5 stars. The floor was still sticky, just like the other night…really? Do people clean? I don’t want to imagine what the kitchen looks like if the floors weren’t cleaned. The place was somewhat empty too. Weather was raining somewhat heavy too. 2 stars since the food wasn’t the issue this time, it was the floor and the waitress seemed a little annoyed when we asked to reduce the a/c as it felt like a freezer. The comment was that this spot with where the sun heats up these 2 seats; Mother made a joke that they don’t have to worry about that, and the smirk I saw just made me shake my head.

My husband and I along with cousins and friends were looking forward to a great dinner! We ordered seafood dinners that were not only pricey but presented unattractively on the plates but in my case the salmon was so oily, I couldnt eat it and poorly seasoned! I forgot to mention the mussel appetizer of which had enough salt in them to make your blood pressure rise! My cousins date had ordered a pork chop and asked the server why there was no applesauce served with his meal? Her response was, applesauce? Really? My cousins date pointed it out on the menu and the sever never tried to reconcile this but continued to act surprised! That was the only animation received from her. When another cousin requested to have her Turkey dinner replaced the server summoned the manager who insisted that she explain why she didnt like the turkey! I read the reviews about breakfast and lunch, the food proportions being great, hard too believe after our experience. If you are looking for dinner, save your money and go elsewhere!

We saw such great revies of this place and decided to give it a try... The food was ok, nothing amazing. My son wouldnt touch the chicken fingers, my fruit salad was ok, my wife had some eggs and hash browns, and my mom ate a chicken sandwich. Again, nothing amazing. The only thing we did notice was how HOT it was inside. I was sweating and complained to the waitress who immediately brought it to the attention of one of the managers who promptly told me the AC was at max. I find this VERY hard to believe. I was not NOT the only one sweating as I saw a man going to pay his bill he was wiping the sweat off his forehead. I will never go back to this diner, nor would I recommend it if you want to sit down, eat, and be comfortable!

I was just here with my family this evening.I ordered the Roasted Turkey, and I wasnt pleased with the entree.. when I notified the waitress she took it to the back and the manager stormed out and asked " who didnt like the turkey" and said "nothing is wrong with this turkey, its fresh turkey". He was so rude! I worked in customer service for years and its a certain way of doing things. If a customer is not satisfied, you are suppose to apologize and ask if they would like something else. My family comes here 3 times out of the year and this will be the last time we will eat here! Awful!!! Completely Dissatisfied!

Thursday night, July, 2016: Six of us went in as a last minute dinner plan and none of us were disappointed. With a large menu, our food choices ranged from seafood, turkey, and yes, even liver. The portions were plenty with more than enough for leftovers. Our table chose varying soups (Manhattan Clam, Chicken Orzo) and both soups and salads were good. Desserts are served much the same... large and not disappointing. The diner itself was clean and our server great despite handling several larger groups. Ive eaten here before and would return again.

Had breakfast here both mornings we were in Wildwood and had great food and service both times. The staff is friendly, personable and accommodating, and went out for their way to make us feel welcome. At first I thought it was a little pricey, until I tried the Stuffed French Toast - awesome! Even the side order of link sausage was killer and the portions would have been too large if the food werent so damned good! You really do get what you pay for here.

Absolutely love Star Diner, our favourite breakfast spot in Wildwood and one of the places we look forward to dining at, every time we visit. Ive been a fan of their delicious omelettes and entirely-too-filling sausage gravy and biscuits for years. Never had a bad meal in over five years of frequenting The Star and am always looking forward to my next visit. I recommend Star to anyone looking to dine, at any time of day, without reservation.

Seemed like a family owned, Greek diner, so I ordered gyro. I got something that didnt neither look nor taste like gyro Im accustomed to, but it might be just a matter of preference. The prices were OK for the amount of food on the plate (a lot!). The serve was very nice too. I personally wouldnt go back there, but I would recommend it to someone who is looking for a quick, filling meal.

We used to go there primarily for the breakfast. The sausage and scrapple are the BEST. Now however I have become familiar with the chocolate dipped chocolate chip cookies. Amazing and Addictive is the only way to describe them. Try them you will either love me or hate me for creating an addiction that can only be calmed by eating these delightful cookies.

Meh. Tolerable for the shore, but not good, exactly. Had a bagel with lox and a side of homefries. I think it was called the works, but came with anything but. It came with cream cheese and an undressed salad. No tomato slices, no red onion slices, no capers. Bland homefries and gross hollandaise sauce (guessing it came out off a gallon jug).

Really sticking with the original Doo-Whop feel of the Wildwoods. Friendly staff, good portions, delicious food. Parking lot is undersized and hard to manuvear. Also it is on the main route out of North Wildwood across from a very busy WaWa.... makes for difficult left turn entrance or exit.
