Walked in and received no greeting from the hostess. No hospitality, just a group of people dragging their feet around with miserable facial expressions on... Great. May I note that the moment my spouse and I walked into the establishment, we were both hit with an irrefutable smell of PURE URINE. We were repulsed but starving and already being seated so we decided to look past it, eat quick, and leave as soon as possible. However, that was not possible due to the unjustified time it took to be served. Our server, who goes by Pat but name is Patricia was timely with our drinks but brought cold coffee to the table - clearly unpleasant but what can you do when the staff working could care less about maintaining any proper standards for running a restaurant? Onto the order. She asks if she can take our order. Eager to get our food and get out- I answered yes and gave her my order but maybe had spoken too soon as my spouse ended up needing a minute to look over the menu. She said that was fine and walked away to the table across from us. I assumed she was going to clean it since it was disgusting and disorderly, not something you want to look at while enjoying a meal- but no oops, she was just having a seat. Ok. Thats one thing. But that fact that she didnt come back for ten minutes to take our order.. was another thing. She literally took so long that we had to flag down a random server to ask them to take our order. The waitress hesitated and looked around, it was obvious she did not want to help her co workers stranded table, aka paying customers, because this table was not assigned to her. I had explained that our waitress had already taken my order but that she needed to take my husbands. She says "oh okay one second", walks into the kitchen, and walks out with a random plate of food and sets it front of me. I explained that I didnt put the order in yet and that we wanted to eat together. (Something I shouldnt have to explain as most people would like to eat together when they come in together at the same time.....) She took the plate away and said she would get over server. Patricia comes back. Finally. When I reaffirmed my order, I asked her not to bring me the plate that they originally tried bringing me because I didnt want cold food. She laughed under her breath. As my spouse orders, he had a question about the selection of toppings for the crepes. He asked our server what the options were and Patricia replied, "Its in front of your face." Blatant disrespect. WHAT are you getting paid for if you cant even be bothered to explain your menu to your customer?! The fact that she had the nerve to talk to him this way had my blood boiling. It was enough to want to make me get up and leave. No wonder servers are only paid bare minimum, because of people like this who only deserve the bare minimum. Pathetic excuse for customer service. Whatever. She takes the order. We wait forever to get the food. While we are waiting, we hear the hostesses and servers all huddled up in the front arguing loudly about losing a ticket, cursing back and forth across the restaurant. Was this a breakfast or an episode of Jerry Springer? Such a trashy ambiance. I felt embarrassed to even be sitting there. We get the food. My spouse inhaled his food because by the time we got it, he didnt care what it tasted like. (Men). My eggs were warm but were rubbery, telling me that they had been sitting there and had just been heated up before serving it to me. My hash browns however, were freezing cold all the way to the inside- confirming that this must of been the same plate they originally tried bringing me, the same plate I asked them not bring me, the same plate they told me they wouldnt bring me. Awesome. As we are finishing up, a server to the left of us was at the POSi system whistling loudly in our ears. At that point, we got up, paid, and left. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE. Go to Waffle House, surprisingly you WILL get better service, food, and you wont have to smell urine throughout your meal.

I am a Rutgers student and they used to give 50% off on Wednesday for Rutgers students. The food is ok and the waiters were well behaved. So, once in a while we would drop there for dinner. About 3 weeks back, I saw that the management has changed. I was not aware that they had changed the 50% off policy. At the end of the meal, when I asked for discount, the manager told me that since I had not ordered a drink, I am not eligible for discount. I told him that I did not know about the change in policy and the waiter had not informed me about it, he rudely told me that it was posted outside. It was a tiny posting -- probably designed to escape your attention. He never apologized for it or said sorry and never explained anything nicely. He was very rude. It was the most awful encounter I ever had in a restaurant. The food quality has also gone bad. The salad was rotten and I asked them to change it. They did not have any fresh salad and offered me a soup. The soup was also cold and tasteless. The waiter often forgot the sides- we had to remind him 3 times to get the pancakes. In short, I have decided not to go there for the next year or so and hope that this management goes away.

I really regret eating here. ignore all of the reviews posted, they were probably posted by one person (all written on the same day? sort of fishy, right?). i had a simple short stack of pancakes and i was beyond disappointed. the service is pretty standard... no complaints, i tipped my waitress... but i think i saw the manager picking a fight with a cook in the back, which made me pretty uncomfortable. I definitely overpaid for really bad food. i would never recommend this place to anyone! if you drive just a mile or two down the road there is a local diner that serves the same kind of stuff with better service and better prices.

I usually have a great experience here since I come every weekend with my family before church, and I never had a problem until today. Waiting time was unbelieveable 25 minutes for a seat and another 15 minutes for our waiter who never even showed up. People were being seated who were party of 3s and 4s before us and we are always a party of 3. Very disappointing today, I want to see some better accommodation and quicker but efficient service.

Food is good the hostess and manager very professional, however the waiter was terrible. She did not provide us with the essentials napkins, straws, plates. When I asked her she talked over me and said go talk to the manager. INCREDIBLE! GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE!

Food was good, or waiter brought my husband scrambled eggs when he asked foe sunny side up. He did not write anything down. Everything else was right though. This is the only 1 in Hillsborough, NJ, and we are here visiting from Canada.
