I saw the reviews and ended up going 3 times in one week! The Gangnam Burger was decadent and something I will save for special occasions. The Redneck Tacos were exquisite! Yesterday I made a special trip for the brisket and bought a side of the incredible smoked kimchi then assembled my own tacos at home. The brisket was really really good. My husband eats the kimchi straight with a fork! Next time i want to try the ribs and korean slaw. Its WONDERFUL to have a restaurant nearby that has fresh different flavors! Everything else seems one dimensional in comparison.

Kimchi Smoke is the kind of local businesses you want to see succeed. The venue is small, but the owner and staff are incredibly earnest, putting their all into this place. The food is a hybrid of Texas and Korean BBQ, with a little more emphasis on the Texan side. I had the Chonut 2.1, which is brisket, kimchi, bourbon barbecue sauce, and cheese, all on a glazed donut. Its out of this world. They also offer a more traditional BBQ, as well as a catering menu. In a world full of different attempts at Asian Fusion, Kimchi Smoke deserves to rise to the top.

Never made it, although was planning to go tonite with my wife, so I called to see if there would be a wait. I got the rudest person (young guy) who answered. 1st he was annoyed when I asked if I should make reservations, he said they dont take them.. ok fine, understood. But for a restaurant to be indignant and annoyed at my question asking whether there would be a wait??? Ridiculous!! The short of it...We went elsewhere.. on the way back we walked by, noticed place was empty at 7pm on a Friday nite.. I wonder why?

You wont find barbecue like this within maybe 100 miles. Austin Cho brings an amazing take on authentic American barbecue with Korean flavors. This man can make a brisket. The Chonut is an indulgent sandwich the hits all the right sweet and savory spots. Definitely go if you can. Space is tight and seating is limited.

Best brisket in NJ. Went there with my family and boy, was everybody happy! My mom had the hot dog, she only ordered one but she was very happy that she got 2. My dad, who usually has something to say about everything, this time ate everything and he was happy he had a Dr Browns Cel Ray soda. Cant wait to go again!

So legit. Real Texas BBQ with a delicious Korean twist. Would highly recommend to anyone looking got real BBQ thats smoked low and slow. Brisket is extremely tender and juicy with prefect amount of smoke flavor. Support local businesses!

Delicious but pricey. Authentic flavors and slow cooked meat. French fries were very well done but everything else was A+. Worth it as a splurge every once in a while. The only other downside is the size of the eating area - 7 seats

I drove all the way from boston just to eat here and it was completely worth it. I would and will drive another 9 hrs, 430 miles, back and forth for some more of their food. The owner is also an extremely nice gentleman.

Great food at reasonable prices. Its a very unique American Korean BBQ restaurant. There are apparently a few others in Texas and NYC but here in Bergen County this is one of the most unique fusions ever.

The mixture of Korean and BBQ is a masterpiece. All of the sweet and spicy flavors mixed with noodles rice and other Asian flavors is just phenomenal. I am in love with the BBQ box. Cant wait to return.

Runs like a glorified McDonalds and the food is terrible. Very salty. Get a million times better barbecue at Finks in Bergenfield.
