First time was great, told everyone I knew about it, again the 2nd time it was great great food great service, thought about giving it a 5 star review. So why the 3 star review, well you kinda chance your experience here, you could come on a busy or not so busy day, sometimes the food is very quick and sometimes they take forever to come out with it. The service might be the best of its your first time, mine was the waiter was very informative, but some(about 50%) of the time they do act as if you are an inconvenience, I remember one time, I had paid everything and was getting up to leave, I said thank you, and they quickly said bye, and before I completely left the table, as soon as j got up they rushed to clear it, I was probably the 2nd person there, it wasnt busy or anything. But yes the food is amazing, it is a very relaxing place with the tone and everything, I would still recommend it, just know that t could be good or bad on the service, but most likely good if they havent ever seen you.

What in the name of sweet And sour sauce is going on in this place????? The dining room, rest room and walk ways are FILTHY. The food smells and tastes like sock. The staff are like extras from the walking dead. Follow youre instincts people, when you see a staff member preparing food outside the restroom leave. I ordered the soup, I was not charged extra for the hair that was in it, but I was asked "did I keep it as evidence".!!!!!!!! My MIL had a different experience. All went well in the restaurant, but things took a turn for the worse Later on in the evening with a bout of veggie heaving. Needless to say Id recommend taking a meth overdose rather than eat here again. Lastly my sincere apologies to the lady I walked in on sitting on the toilet. I pittied you as you sat there waving in vain, exposed to a corridor of waiters and other diners Had there of been a lock on the door Im sure that wouldnt of happened.

AWESOME! AWESOME! AWESOME! A co-worker told me about this place because I wanted to know if there were any Vegan/Vegetarian restaurants in Jersey. She told me about Veggie Heaven. My roommates (who are both Vegan) and I finally went there on a Thursday night. For appetizers, we got the fried dumplings, which weren’t really that great. The dumplings themselves were great, but it was stuffed with cabbage and had a bitter taste. We also got the fake chicken drumsticks which were amazing! Scallion pancakes which were great! Veggie spring roles were awesome! For meals, I got the chow foon (pan fried, flat noodles) with ‘chicken’, carrots. It was delicious! One of my roommates got the sesame chicken and it was AWESOME! The desserts were yummy too. This place was so good, we got take out the next week and I had the sesame chicken. Go here! Great food with great prices! Now, my roommates and I are ALWAYS craving for it!

We marked my mas anniversary in 2016; shes been a vegetarian for 30 years. This is one of the very few places where she can eat everything on the menu without worry. I am not vegetarian; yet, I gladly accompany her, because I love the food so much. From the Buffalo wings (spicy!) to the deluxe sushi (try the "shrimp" sushi) to Kung Pow chicken (extra peanuts), every dish is delicious. Since we discovered it, we have been coming to Veggie Heaven at least once every weekend for the past seven years. Many of our family gatherings and celebrations are spent here. One time, because of how the holidays fell, we had Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday off, well, then we dined here Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Service is also friendly and fast! ("Ciao, ciao!") We absolutely adore Veggie Heaven, and we never tire of it.

The first time I attended veggie heaven I enjoyed myself, I even told friends about it. The second time, not so good. The place was packed. I sat at a booth and the walls were dirty along with incredibly dirty baseboards. My waiter didnt communicate English well either. The waiter was fast, but as he served me my white rice, I began to look closer, and at first glance, I thought it was a burnt peice of rice, it turns out it was a black beetle looking baby cockroach bug! I told the waiter about the bug and all he did to fix the problem was offer me a new rice. I am absolutely appalled and will never eat there again! Makes me think, what are the vegetables mixed with?? Its just disappointing because originally the general Sao chicken was good. Funny, the restaurant states that its kosher, but last time I checked bugs arent kosher. Clean your surroundings!

The food is really great but the service is the worst Ive ever experienced in my life! The host just took us to the back and shoved a menu on the table the only this she ever said was "this way." The waiter took forever to come and take our order and he behaved like we were and inconvenience. when he finally brought the food out he disappeared and never returned. we had to asked someone else passing for water. When we finally spotted our waiter long after eating and wanted dessert he actually yelled "one moment!" this when he had never been back to check on us! so for the well over an hour that we were there the only time anyone came to our table was to bring the food and after waving the waiter down for dessert I quickly added that I wanted the cheque before he disappear for good. HORRIBLE HORRIBLE service.

Very fast service. The taste of my food was just okay. Wonton soup and fried dumplings were both doughy and a bit slimy. The sanitation level and ambience leave much to be desired. Restrooms are in the same space as drink preparation-Gross! The desserts are also kept in a refrigerator right by the front door in cake containers that the hostess usually has to plate. Also a sanitation concern for me as she handles money, pens, and credit cards away from a sink. My scallion pancakes were pretty tasteless and cold. My water was brought over by my older disgruntled server. This water had clearly been sitting in a glass w/ lemon hours before our asking. Nevertheless, my family is grateful to have access to a meat-free environment and will return when we are feeling brave and starving.

You dont have to be a vegan or even a vegetarian to love Veggie Heaven (I am neither of those). There are several locations around NJ but this one is by far my favorite. If you love Chinese food but arent a fan of the low-quality meat then youll definitely enjoy Veggie Heaven. I love having the peace of mind that I wont find anything yucky in the "chicken". Depending on the dish that you get, you almost cant tell that youre not eating real meat. Ive tried several of their "chicken" and "beef" dishes and they all have been great. They also have non-diary desserts and Thai iced tea. With the Thai iced tea you can even tell that its not dairy! Just a few of my recommendations: Scallion pancakes, orange chicken, mango chicken, and Thai iced tea!

I have not met one person thats said anything bad about Veggie Heaven. I am vegetarian and its great to be able to have a place to go eat with friends without having to resort to a salad or only having one or two other options. Plus, no matter what I have ordered on the menu, I wouldnt rate any of their food below a 7 out of 10, although more often the dishes are a 9 or 10. Its also great that they have the usual cheaper options, like lo mein or fried rice, but also sizzling platters and higher end dishes. I know at least 6 meat eating friends so far who would never turn down an opportunity to eat at Veggie Heaven. You just need to try it once and youll be hooked! Glad to see someone putting a good name for vegetarian food out there.
