Village is a pizza, pasta, salad, and subs (hot and cold) takeout or delivery joint. The food is excellent and the prices are very reasonable. After moving from NYC to NJ we needed to find the right place to get our weekly pizza and chicken parm fix, a place that was as good as our Brooklyn neighborhood spot, and also consistent and convenient. After must testing, Village was the clear winner for us. Over the last 10 years we have also tried and loved their salads (chef and Greek, esp), heros (chicken parm and Italian, esp), appetizers (chicken fingers and mozz sticks, esp), and pasta (ziti with vodka sauce is our fave). Please note that the style of pizza is what my family considers regular crust, medium thickness and slightly chewy, not deep dish or thin crust. And its really yummy.

Went there today to pick up my order. When I got home it was wrong so I had to go back the guy who works on register is so rude yelling at me and being condescending.. because they got my order wrong and I was just trying to understand what was going to happen now because when I called the girl told me one thing and hes telling me something different now. Whatever happened to customer service and the customer is always right he kicked me out because he didnt like that I asked him not to yell in my face we can talk without being rude to each other... I will never spend another dime here I always would tell ppl how great this place was now Im telling everyone spend your money where people actually appreciate your business. And the food isnt that great anyway

Almost screwed up my order and now that Im trying to eat it, I wish they had. I ordered shrimp parm over spaghetti and baked ziti with meatballs. Every other restaurant provides bread and a side salad when you order an entree. When my mom went to pick up the order they told her they dont give salad with spaghetti. When I open my shrimp entree it was in a small pan and the pasta was angel hair not spaghetti and it was so over cooked it was like mush in my mouth. The shrimp was dried out and hard. This restaurant should be ashamed to serve this garbage posing as food. Needless to say I will never be ordering from here again. Waste of money!! Village Trattoria is right up the street, a little pricy but well worth it.

For the price, their pizza is good - not great. I agree with other reviews that the staff is often incredulous, rude, and unprofessional, but I tend to overlook that slightly because I always get delivery, so I dont have to deal with the staff face to face. Overall, the pizza (thats all I ever get there) is acceptable, but its nothing to write home about. Not a bad option for a simple beer and pizza night.

The giant-pie Tuesday special ($6.75 each) is the best pizza value in the area. Honestly, who cares if they are rude? You call in your order, drive over and pick it up. When you have kids to feed nothing else really matters. And there is certainly much worse pizza around than this. For us, its been two pies every Tuesday for years. The kids always have slices to reheat after school during the week.

I work locally and Im always looking for a good salad place and fresh options. My coworker, Morgan told me to order and I am so glade she did the salads are amazing and thr creamy balsamic dressing is homemade and so delish. I order mozzarella when i had a craving and those were homemade with large peice of mazeralla and seasoned breadcrumbs

I am very particular about pizza and I think I have had pizza from at least 4 different pizzerias in South Orange/Maplewood. This by far has been my best experience having pizza outside of NYC. I ordered an extra thin crust, well done and greasy pizza with pepperoni. It was great and we will order again from here for sure!!!

My go to pizza place since I was a kid. Great owner and everyone that works there is very nice. Awesome sandwiches, delicious pizza. I have yet to find a better chicken parm sandwich anywhere else. Their banana pudding and chocolate cake are pretty addicting too.

Pizza is great and cheap, but the guy at the register is pretty rude and if he picks up the phone with the same attitude again I wont want to go there. But tastes good, and the owner or just pizza maker is actually a very nice guy.

My art and craft party was a blast I had on Saturday 14th. I ordered pizza that was great. It came hot and delicious. I have order the Chicken Cesar salad, which is great. They never let you down. Keep up the good work guys.

The pizza is great but some of their dishes sometimes are a little shaky. Just had their stuffed shells and it was obviously Frozen and not fresh. Taste it like a Frozen dinner yuck.
