On March 26th 7:04 pm I placed an order online at this location and usually it states your order will be ready in 7min and your shakes and fries will be made once you arrive. I got to the place at 7:15 and there was only one gentleman in the whole establishment. Of course all the customers including myself figured that the others were coming shortly, they must have gone in the back or attending to other needs that the business required. To our amazement and disbelief no one showed up. This gentleman by the name of Alberto not only took orders , prepared them and handed them to us but was at all times calm and polite and apologetic for the time we waited. Which at a time it was more than 15 people waiting for their order. I placed mine at 7:04 and waited until 7:55 to receive a plain cheeseburger with fries and two milkshakes. Crazy!!! The only reason I stayed was because the way Alberto handled that situation was amazing to see and out of kindness for a person who dedicated himself to every single costumer and got his job done like he owned that place. As for the rest of the employees that night after being there from 7:15 they decided to walk in at 7:50 from the back entrance door of the store giggling and laughing like nothing was wrong, mind you another costumer had seen them outside chatting and joking around. I dont think a place like Five Guys gives 4 other employees breaks to take together at such a busy time. I could be wrong but I know my review is extensive but I really needed to let the manager or owner be aware that he has a great employee that should be mentioned and that is Alberto. The one star is for the other employees because it angers me when people are so disrespectful and inconsiderate to their coworkers. And maybe no one cares or will read this and of course nothing will be done but at least I got to get it out. Your food does get 5 stars! And ALBERTO GETS 100!!!

Five Guys is an affordable, fresh burger joint. The Rockaway location can get very busy on weekends, given its location in the mall, especially during the holidays. It is quieter than the restaurant inside the mall, given its location on the ring road. Its prime location next door to the movie theater makes it a great stop for lunch after a morning matinee. Five Guys fries are always delicious and fresh - try the cajun fries for an added punch of flavor!

This place is awesome. The food anazing, the people even better!! Me, my husband and son came from Yonkers, NY and wow what a difference in atmosphere! My son had a minion hat and the manager went out of his way to interact with my son and tell him he loved his hat. My son was so excited that someone spoke to him!! Thank you for the awesome experience!!

Ive always been really happy with five guys and their service, but the Rockaway, NJ store has stepped it up. Fast service, wonderful interactive staff that makes sure you arent just a customer, but a friend. Since I work in the mall I will make sure thy my cheat meal will always be five guys! The best burgers and the best fries hands down ever!!

Their burgers are out of this world. I get it with lettuce, tomato, pickles, bacon and cheese. So good! Their cajun fries are great too and you get a lot. If youre with a friend, one order of fries will be enough for the two of you. Great place to grab a quick bit before a movie. I will miss this place when I move away.

The burgers and fries are both really good. Keep in mind that a regular burger is a double and a junior is a single. The regular size fries are considered a large at other places and I had to take some home with me. My only complaint is that the music at this location is louder than it needs to be.

Told the guy I loved potatoes. He gave me ALL the fries. Not just extra, not a lot, or even most. He got my to-go bag, and would have filled it if he didnt run out of fries. I couldnt find the burger, I had to eat my way to it. Also, they re-heat in the oven nicely.
