Feb. 11, 2017 I had dinner here tonight with my family of 4 and I can not get myself to give 5 stars. Here is why: 5 stars for quality and quantity of the food. 4 stars for cleanliness 3 stars for service (our waiter was horrible!) 2 stars for soda.....ugh check your bottles Recommendation for management: Better staff will make this place one of a kind and be that top 5 star venue it can be. I was truly blown away by the quality and taste of the food. Feedback on our service: 1. Server was not attentive and horrible attention to detail. 2. We had to ask for 2 more place setting for family of 4. 3. Ask for refill for our and our kids since after 5 pass he didnt attempt to ask. 4.Our salad and soup never came so we had to ask for it. 5. One of the dish was incorrect and when we told him he said it was what we ordered. After showing him he finally said this wasnt what we ordered. 6. We ordered chocolate milk for our kids and it looked like regular milk. So we opened the lid to realize they squinted the chocolate syrup but never stirred it. Really? Who does that? Then when they got the refill, SAME THING. Very annoying..... 7. What is up with the coffee cup (see photo) for kids drinks? I was surprised until we were walking out to see all the kids with kids cup and not this coffee cup. 8. Our waiter barely spoke but then he was also barely rendering service. Overall rating is 3 out of 5 stars for poor quality of service. Might be better off for take out since the food is amazingly great.

The decor of the diner was exciting and new. When we were seated the menu had tons of options and my boyfriend and I discussed coming back because there was so much we wanted to try! However, 20 min later when our waitress finally arrived, we were slightly annoyed and hungry. We ordered the mombo appetizer (four appetizers: mac and cheese bites, honey bbq boneless chicken wings, potato skins, and disco fries) and a milk shake. Food came quickly which was nice after the original wait, however the food was less then pleasing. The wrong type of shake was delivered, understandable, but even when the correct one was brought, they were both watery and disappointing and rather flavorless. All the dipping sauces and gravy for fries were very thin and flavorless. the boneless wings reminded us of frozen chicken tenders cut in half and drizzled with a pre-made sauce. The potato skins were just flavorless and greasy, my boyfriend commented that the ones he buys in the frozen section of the grocery store and re-heats were more editable than these, and i wouldnt disagree. Disco fries were burnt and soggy. The mac and cheese bites were good! wish they were the only thing we ordered. I have never written a review of a restaurant before but i was so disappointed i felt like i had to. At least the waitress was nice and apologetic for bringing the wrong shake. All in all, will never go back.

Terrible, I had heard so many good things from my old Pastor at my old church. We went in at 2:50 pm hoping for a quick bite to eat, well 48 minutes later our food came and was not accurate, that was not the worst. The roast beef was like beef jerky and the waiter was terrible. We had to ask several times if our food was coming, other waiters saw we where annoyed and tried to help. Then after an hour and 10 minutes my wifes sandwich (not to hard here) came and again still not done properly and without so much as an Im sorry. We asked for a "to go box" again waiting for the box I was so annoyed I got her one myself. I then got up and went to the front manager only to be greater with the most blank stare when I complained, this was only followed by another blank stare as he grabbed the check from the waiter. I explained the good was not prepared properly and was terrible (not my burger). He looked at me with his hand out for my money, rang me up and said have a good night.... wow, I have never had such a bad experience for someplace that was supposed to be so decent. I guess they spent all the money on the new place and cut the staff salary because never have I left a restaurant feeling so disgusted and disappointed

After hearing great reviews on this diner I thought we would give it a try. The atmosphere was beautiful, they really put a lot of work into it. My girlfriend has been here before they renovated. I must say they had to make good money at the bar to do all the nice things they have put into this diner. I wish I can give this Jersey diner no stars. Me, my friend, and mother in law had a awful experience. The hostess was rude, and staff was extremely rude. Our waitress was so nasty. We didnt order anything crazy, we had order breakfast.. nothing crazy. She just had attitude. The food was horrendous. How can you mess up on breakfast!! The only thing that was good out of all the food we order was the omelette. My pancakes were so greasy, falling apart, and I honestly thought they were uncooked. My stomach is on fire as we speak. My friends breakfast bowl was filled with refine beans from a can that looked like dog food. The hash browns were undercooked. I am appalled with the service and food. Jersey is all for its diners.. this is not one of them!!

My wife and I were excited when we realized there was a diner within walking distance to our new home. That excitement quickly turned to disappointment when not only did we find hair in our food, but both my wife and I got food poisoning after eating separate meals. Furthermore it was told to us from trustworthy sources that there were more than just chefs in the kitchen (if you know what I mean) Of course without seeing the kitchen myself there is no way to actually verify that though. First and last time eating there though. We MAY give it another try after their upcoming renovation.... Well see. If you want a good diner in the area... go to the Alexis diner in Denville or for amazing burgers Morris Tap and Grill in Randolph!

What a disappointment? Met a friend for the Randolph Diners GREATLY advertised "Wed Half price Josh bottles of wine." Anyone that drinks this delicious wine knows the bottles are $14 in liquor stores. So we were surprised to see the $20 charge on the bill. I actually called the next day to see why it wasnt $10 as I couldnt imagine it was correct. The manager advised they normally charge $40! So the half price is $20. Between the horrible fake crabcakes (my friends choice) served w/melted butter and the steak quesadillas (rather eat rubber bands), this was a last for me. With tip it was $31 EACH...we never had a meal! Its the classic advertising scam. A LAST FOR US. And I will tell everyone in town not to fall for the Josh scam.

If you want mediocrity served with poor waitstaff and grumpy managers, this is your place. Burgers taste frozen, and are EXPENSIVE. Ever since they made it look like the Parthenon, the food has gotten way too expensive. The menu is haphazardly slapped together with a concoction of your favorite poisons to choose from. The salads are basically cereal, because they float the leaves in whatever dressing you choose. Its no longer diner priced, and there are better diners out there with more reasonable prices. The managers also treat their staff poorly. I constantly talk to staff about their work, and I often find that they are maltreated and overworked. Avoid this place.
