North brunswick area is full of indian restaurants and most of them are just ok and most of them with exception of Udipi and Indigo have average or below average or really bad service. There is no real place with good service , good food and bargain prices. I think Parivar fill that gap, Last night we visited there are normal sunday night dinner with not so much expectation. But they come out to excellent in both food and service. Most of time you know the service quality from the time you enter. In my experience it was excellent service and quality of food was excellent. I can see that they have used Fresh ingredients (unlike most indian palaces where fresh is very popular word in kitchen). In case they can maintain that balance of service and food quality - It can be a very popular palace. Foodie

We have been referred by one of our friend for a birthday function. .I could definitely say this is the best place for ordering for a get together. Food is really good and the entire guests were pleased with the taste.Needless to say it is the best food ever i have tasted in a party in NJ area. Special mention thanks to Sundar from Arusuvai for providing a better price and delivered a quality & hot food Food has been delivered on time. We would definitely recommend this place for all my friends.. Our menu for the party includes Chicken Lollypop, Chicken Chettinad Curry, Mutton Briyani, Egg Masala, South Indian Parota, Chicken Pepper Fry, Gulob Jamoon, MIxed Veg Pakora, Fried rice, Dhall Fry, Mix Veg Kuruma.. Thank you Once again..

Special buffet seem to be a rip off on Mothers Day 2017. Around $24 per adult and $16 for young adult is greedy by the management. It did not appear to be a special buffer at all. It appeared to be a regular weekend buffet with addition of few deserts. Vadas werent cooked properly still being uncooked batter inside. Utthapam were not cooked right either. Only dish that was better I could say was the nattu kozhi biriyani and I would not say the best. All other dishes were just ok. Wouldnt have complained about the $24 buffet if the food quality and variety was good. Unfortunately both did not cut it. Would not recommend this place on a special occasion as the quality goes down drastically and charging up the customers. Not worth it.

Had worst experience. This place was serving expired Malai Kulfi, 3 months past the shelf life. When I asked why they were serving expired food items, they said it is coming from India (date format confusion) but actually it was manufactured in USA (had a big label that read MADE IN USA and also one item had 2/27/2016 as the expired date). Both the manager and the other guy gave me the same reason. After i complained, they removed the item from the menu but did not care to stop people who were already having it nor apologize for the mistake. It was mostly the kids who were eating the Kulfi, and these guys did not care about the customers. Will never go here again and i would advise against anyone going here.

Has tremendous potential to be rated as one of the best Indian restaurant in NJ. The service is excellent. Food is amazing - good quality and more than enough quantity for inexpensive tariff. Vegetarians have great choice too. Best part being, the management manages the restaurant and takes criticism seriously. I was suppose to write this review in Oct 2010 when the restaurant opened. But, gave it time to see if these sellers are one of the many or -- truly different. Indeed, this is a good team and has great potential if their quality and quantity doesnt go down with time like hundreds of other Indian restaurants. Best wishes all....at ARUSUVAI - From Satya & Co.

Worst and worst. Whatelse i can say. No hospitality or no customer service. I ordered over phone for simple curry dishes (which was on their buffet) and was given a delivery time for pickup. Went for pickup 15 mins late and was made to wait for another 30 mins. The worst part one of the waiter said kitchen folks dont listen to him and management is not takung action, the other yells at me saying ITS JUST 30 MINS. Very dissappointed. Im ok with delays but with the service and response without a care for customers. Food industry is equavalent to God, but here they treat us like###### :-(. Hope the management reads this

Tasty food... good ambiance... I went there with my family. It was on our way home and we just found this place on Google with good rating so we decided to go there to have a quick one the way dinner. Menu choices were more than enough. We ordered quickly but food came even faster. We ordered vegetarian south indian dishes and everything was very delicious, especially onion and tomato uttapam and tomato chutney. Quantities were more than we expected. Service was quick and swift too. Overall, a good food and if we were in surrounding area we will definitely visit again.

A small yet nice place in a seemingly quite neighborhood. We ordered a filter coffee which very good. Idli-wada and sambhar was fresh and tasty. Coconut chutney that came along with idli-wada tasted very good - quite different from other South Indian restaurants. We also ordered Kal Dosa and wada curry - something we never had earlier. That was tasty too. Service was good.

we ordered delivery on a Sunday night. Had two entrees, the chicken and spinach and Fish Tikka. Also ordered naan, two pakoras, and extra rice. Every item met our total satisfaction. Not too spicy that it is unpleasant, but enough so that you have a flavorful experience. Rice, and sauces were perfect. We will def. order again and visit the restaurant. I highly recommend.

Overspiced food, slow service due to only one waiter (maybe due to last nite our Groupon was effective!) Recommend fish biryani but especially savored the small jar of fish curry / masala that accompanies biryani; Recommend "eral 65" shrimp appetizer; Signature dish is chicken chettinad but its TOO spicy (we finished over two jugs water); Skip: soups & lambchops,

This is my review for Malabar House (formerly known as Parivaar) Amazing food with GREAT prices! It was a fine dining experience with great service; they could not be nicer there. And whats even better is that there is take out and they deliver! Went for dinner and I am looking forward to their lunch buffet. I would definitely go there again!

Awesome buffet food. Superb selection. Much better than the overrated Anjapaar Chettinaad which in my opinion is also totally overpriced. Arusuvai did not charge for my little daughter. She is only 5 and eats so little. If i had gone to Anjapaar, they would have charged me $7 for her meal. I would highly recommend Arusuvai over Anjapaar

Food is good and consistent. This is our Friday night Indian spot for Egg Curry, Palak Paneer, Chicken Mahkni, and assorted nans. Never an oily curry. Owners are professional and personable. Delivery is a huge plus as they have consistently met their stated timelines which are usually less than 45 minutes.

The worst chettinad food for vegetarians. Maybe Non-veg is good. We ordered veg kothu parota, it coudlnt be bad enough. No salt & no spice. Veg briyani, too much spice, but not spicy or had any good flavour. But masala vada was good( no spice again, but atleast it had salt in it). I doubt to go in again.

the food here used to be good a couple of years ago. recently i tried out thier buffet, the food was awful. they dont replace the food in time. most of the curries were empty with no meat. the fish dish just had potatoes. the dishes were burnt. it was an awful experience. do not recommend.
