We visited from New Zealand in 2008 for a family wedding and were delighted with the bed - heaven to sleep in. We also appreciated the long walkway - we arrived back after the wedding to find it had been decorated down its entire length with a number of arrangements of pumpkins and various autumn (fall to you US people) produce etc, and lit up. This reflected off the stream as well as having the lights in the entranceway, giving it a magical feeling. Next day in the daylight there was no lighting (not needed) as the charm of the arrangements was able to be appreciated for the attention to detail and the small items within each such display. Good on you for giving us a memorable experience during our visit. Having read some of the other reviews, we would agree that the decor is tired, but in New Zealand hotels there is a natural cycle to wear and tear and refurbishment, and I am sure this will be attended to in due course. Reception staff were not very helpful, but the Buffet staff were excellent and couldnt do enough for us. We were entriely inexperienced in tipping, and they were most helpful with how to work this out (and DID not expect to get huge sums of money - they gace us a range to work within, and checking with other places, we found this to be very reasonable indeed. Later in our US visit we had appalling service where they EXPECTED much bigger tips that those we left at the Marriott Buffet! We were delighted with the "woodland" setting, but nearby shopping areas could have been explained in a hotel guide - some of our relations took the hotel shuttle, but the literature supplied did not explain this service clearly. Perhaps the Marriott could use a "critic" to go through the hotel as a "newcomer" and report on their findings - both good and bad (we do have such people here, and a number of firms find them very helpful as points to "grow on" are outlined, you know what you are doing well, and you know where you are performing abysmally - all good stuff to work on to improve the image.)

I walked in happy about staying here waiting for my familys room. I checked in and then got the news. I had called for the reservation in advance for a connecting room and they said we were guaranteed. And I also called saying we were going to be late to check in. Turns out that the rooms were on seperate floors. I had minors and I couldnt let them be on their own on another floor. I asked if they could do anything and they couldnt. We left very angry deciding to drive all the way back home. We drove for an hour starving at one in the morning until we reached a diner. We decided to eat there for a really early breakfast. I was so tired and exhausted after the drive for it was almost two int th morning. I wouldnt recomend this hotel for any traveling needs unless you want to have your rooms messed up.

Wow! is this first word that overcomes your senses when walking into this hotel. From the entrance all the way to the room. The attention received here is perfect and stellar! The breakfast in the morning was one of many great reasons I loved this place. Homberto my server is truly an asset to the staff. The only downside to my stay here was the room I was staying in was not able to connect my xbox one and dvd palyer to the tv. The supervisor I believe his name is Brian did go to measures and try an accomodate my stay by looking into another room and seeing if it was possible that it would work. Unfortunately it was not. But Overall I highly recommend staying at this hotel!! I will be staying here everytime I am in the area for business. Very Clean as well.

Bugs...likely bed bugs. We stayed here for a wedding and found bugs in our bed. We asked to be moved, and again, more bugs. The management stated that it was because of the location of our room to the "lake". We were moved to the top floor and did not have any bugs for the remainder of our stay. To make matters worse, the walls are paper thin! You can hear everything going on in neighboring rooms, including detailed conversations, babies crying, and phones ringing at ALL hours of the day and night. I would never recommend anyone stay here. We asked for a refund of our visit, and was told we would get a full refund. Instead, we were given one night of points for another Marriott stay. One of the worst hotels I have ever stayed in!

The rooms were standard for any Marriott. However, the breakfast foods were very poor quality. I ordered blueberry pancakes. They brought me regular pancakes. When I asked them to correct to order, they asked if they could just bring the blueberries on the side. I requested they remake them. They did. Thats why they get two stars as opposed to one. I could barely eat them, even though I was starving. The blueberries were incredibly sour and the pancake mix was beyond disgusting. Even if I were staying at motel 6 I would expect a higher quality of food ingredients. If this is the new standard for food at Marriott, Ill just go back to staying at HGI (and their food isnt great).

Stayed here one night over Labor Day weekend and enjoyed that the hotel is set back in nearly the woods of a quiet residential area. They have an indoor and outdoor pool which gets great light, and lots of outdoor spaces to explore. The hotel seems to be popular for weddings and tour groups headed to Canada. Rooms are standard for a Marriott though Id recommend requesting a room overlooking the outdoor pool as its quieter than the atrium which overlooks the main restaurant/bar area, open late.

Great facilities good clean rooms, and excellent staff, everyone is really helpful from the front desk to the restaurant (especially the restaurant :) ). They have good selection in the restaurant, and a pool/gym downstairs. Although there is a lifetime athletics next to it and it has excellent facilities and pool which u can ask for a days pass at the front desk. Concierge lounge at the 4th floor is available as well, so overall you cant go wrong with this hotel as your choice.

I have attended parties AND stayed overnight at the Park Ridge Marriott a few times. Cant complain about the hotel itself either than the fact that its located at the end is New Jersey(soooo far)! The staff is very friendly and accommodating, rooms are cool, they have a bar/lounge area and restaurant downstairs by the main lobby and their pool is heated(indoor/outdoor).

Watch making a reservation at this hotel. We made a reservation at Park Ridge for 6 nights. Had a confirmation of $775.10. They charged my card for $1073.35. Said it was for $50.00 a night incidentals. We had no incidentals. Said they would refund in 5 to 7 days. Really??? You charged it in one night, you can credit it back in one night.

I attended my high schools prom here. The gazebo and fountain outside is beautiful and great for pictures. The snacks served before was pretty good. The inside of the building is beautiful. Dinner was mediocre, however. Chicken was very dry and bland. The cheesecake dessert was good however. Overall a great experience.
